Affection, regard, care, love, favour. గర్వము, సంరక్షణ, విశ్వాసము, దేశాభిమానము love of one's own country, patriotism. వాడు దేహాభిమానము కలవాడు he pays great attention to his own ease. he is luxurious. అభిమానపుత్రుడు one who passes for one's son, or is looked upon as a son, or, supposed to be his child. అభిమానపుత్రత్వము an understood or attribute sonship. తమ అభిమానము కావలసినది I beg your patronage. నా యందు నిండా అభిమానముగా జరిగించినాడు he has treated me honourably. ఒకని మీద అభిమానము ఉంచు to be partial to a person. అభిమానము లేనివాడు one without affection; unkind అభిమాని n. He who loves. విశ్వాసము గలవాడు. మతాభిమాని a bigot. కులాభిమాని one who stands up for his caste. దేశాభిమాని the advocate for his country, he who loves his country, a patriot. అభిమానించు v. a. To honor, favour, protect, patronise, regard with kindness. గొప్ప చేయు, గౌరవించు.

Pragmatic, hot headed, haughty. తలకొట్లమారియైన. తలకొవ్విన. 'అడిగినజీతంబియ్యని మిడిమేలపుదొరనుగొలిచి మిడుకుటకంటెన్. వడిగలయెద్దులగట్టుక మడిదున్నుక బ్రతుకవచ్చు మహిలోసుమతీ.' Sumati Satakam. మిడిమేలము miḍi-mēlamu. n. Insolence, haughtiness, మిడసిపాటు. 'మగువలుమగలని యెరుగడు, మృగములకోరసిలడేమి మిడిమేలమితండగపడుననితలచితిమే.' R. ii. 112. మిడియ miḍiya. n. A word of the Veda, వేద వాక్యము. 'క తలచియపుడందొకింతయు దొలుతటితరవాతి మిడియదోచకమరియె వ్వలనరసినశ్రుతిశబ్దము పలకునకున్ రాక పెగడుపరచినగలకన్.' పర. ii. మిడియు miḍiyu. v. n. To flash or fly off as a chip of wood or a drop of water. ఎగురు. ఆ రాతిచెక్క మిడిసిపడినది the chip of the stone leaped out and fell down. మిడివిల్లు miḍi-villu. n. A pellet bow, ఉండవిల్లు. 'తడియుచుకైతవతరుణియెక్కిన మిడివింటిగతినున్న మెలతలుడాసి.' Dab. 170. మిడిసిపడు miḍisi-paḍu. v. n. To bounce, leap; to be insolent, మిట్టిపడు, త్రుళ్లిపడు. మిడిసిపడి చచ్చినాడు he suddenly fell down dead. మిడిసిపాటు miḍisi-pāṭu. n. Bouncing, exultation, pride, త్రుళ్లుట.

(p. 1186) viruguḍu viruguḍu. n. An antidote, a remedy, విరుపు, నివారణము. విరగడ or విరుగడ vira-gaḍa. n. Release, liberation, setting at liberty. విడుదల. నీకు యింకా ఆ తొందర విరగడకాలేదా? are you not yet free from that trouble. నేటితో ఈ కష్టములు విరగడైనవి to-day these ills have ended. విరగబడు or విరుగబడు viraga-baḍu. v. n. 'చెలిమియొనర్పగా వలదె యీనిన్నంచు వెనుల్కికెమ్మాని విరిచెనొకతె.' Ila. iv. 29. విరపనగొయ్య or విరుగనికొయ్య virapana-goyya. n. A stubborn wretch.మొండివాడు. విరుపు virupu. n. A break, or the act of breaking. An objection, contradiction. విరుచుట, భగ్నము, అడ్డము, ఆక్షేపణ, మెడవిరుపులు a puzzle, stumbling block. మోనివిరుపులు turning up the lip in scorn. adj. Counteracting, విరుగుడు. విరుచుకొను viruṭsu-konu. (middle voice, with passive sense.) To be defeated. అదండు వెనకకు విరుచుకొనిపోయినది the army was broken and retreated. ఒళ్లువిరుచుకొన్నాడు he stretched himself through weariness. ఈ కొంచెముపనికి ఏల యెముకలువిరుచుకొంటావు why do you break your bones, i.e., take so much trouble for this trifling business.
