(p. 17) aṃśamu amṣamu. [Skt] n. A share, part, portion, a fraction; the denominator of one; a degree of latitude or longitude (Geog.); a subject భాగము, విషయము, దేవుని యంశమున పుట్టినవాడు he who is born from a portion of the deity, he who is of divine origin; అంశపురుషుడు a fortunate man, a man of talent or parts. వర్ణనాంశము a descriptive part or passage in a poem. ఈ అంశము నాకు తెలుసును I am acquainted with this subject. ఈ అంశములో in this respect. వాడు అన్ని అంశములు తెలిసినవాడు he knows every thing. అంశచక్రము a table consulted by astrologers in casting nativities, an astrological diagram for ascertaining the degree of the sun in any sign. దశాంసము the tenth part; అంశసవరణ = reduction of fractions; అంశనీయము or అంశ్యము = that which is divisible.

(p. 1086) rēkha rēkha. [Skt.] n. A line, streak, stripe. గీత, గీర. A row, పజ్క్తి. A line upon the palm, or on the sole of the foot, కరపాదాదులయందలిగీత. Fortune, one's lot or destiny (in connection with Palmistry,) అదృష్టము; as in వాని రేఖ యింతకాలమునకు బైలుపడ్డది. Beauty, grace. శరీరసౌష్ఠవము, సౌందర్యము, కళ, అంశము. దైన్యరేఖ the sign of poverty, ఈషద్దీవత్వము. Anirud. ii. 148. 'రేఖావైభవంబు' great beauty, సౌందర్యాతి శయము. H. i.94. విలాసరేఖలు graces, శృంగారచేష్టలు. (p. 1194) viṣayamu vishyamu. [Skt.] n. An object, matter, subject, affair, thing. Any peculiarity as colour, form, flavour, odour, sound. Definition, respect, relation. అంశము, సంగతి. ఇంద్రియార్థము, శబ్దాదిపంచ భూతగుణము. 'విషయములబొరలి రోయక విషమంటినగతిని జూచువిధమున ధరలో విషసమమాయా సుఖములవిషయములన్ గూడకుండ్రునేత్తలు.' Vema. 499. ఆ విషయము నాకు తెలియదు I do not know anything about it. ఈ విషయములో నిండాసొమ్ము వ్యయముచేసినాడు he spent much money on this. సద్విషయములలో తనసొమ్ము వ్యయము చేసినాడు he spent his money on worthy objects. శృంగారవిషయమైన కావ్యము a poem on amorous subjects. ఈ విషయమందు in this respect. ఆ విషయమందు in that respect. అతని విషయమందు regarding him. ఆ విషయమై regarding that subject. ఏతద్విషయముగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke regarding this. మీ విషయములో regarding you. విషయి vishayi. n. An organ of sense. నేత్రాదియింద్రియము. A man of the world, one who is conversant with or interested in worldly occupations or enjoyments. లోకవ్యవహారవ్యక్తుడు, సంసారమగ్నుడు, సంసారికుడు. విషయించు visha-yinṭsu. v. n. To have to do with carnally. సంభోగముచేయు. విషయీకరించు visha-yī-karinṭsu. v. a. To aim at. ఉద్దేశించు.
