(p. 41) atuku atuku. [Tel.] n. Junction, union patch. ౛తపరిచినది. అతుకులబ్రతుకు living in another man's house. అతుకు v. n. To join. To agree with, to be fit. అంటుకొను అతుకు లేక అతికించు, v. t. To solder, cement, join, unite to. అంటించు, చేర్చు, జరపరచు. అతుకుబడి fixing; posting; the engagement to cultivate taken from the ryot at the commencement of the Revenue year; leasing. అతుకుబడిచేయు to rent out. అతుకుబాటు giving or letting out on rent.

(p. 318) kottamuṭṭu or క్రొత్తముట్టు kotta-muṭṭu. [Tel.] n. A mere filament, not yet twisted into a thread. పెనచినరాట్ణపు నూలుపోగు, నూలిపోగు అతుకు. 'కళ్యాలబదిలంబుగాని గుర్రంబుల గ్రొత్త ముట్టునకియ్యకొలుపు వెరవు.' M. IV. v. 88.

(p. 627) nakku nakku. [Tel.] v. n. To prowl, crounch down. To peep. To conceal or hide oneself, ఒదుదు, దాగు. n. A joint, అతుకు. నక్కుదూలము a beam in which two pieces are joined together. A lump or ingot of gold, iron or any other metal. A notch, నొక్కు. Reeded or ribbed work in carpentry or in silver. బంగారపు బిళ్ల. 'చొక్కపు పసిం. నక్కుల జెక్కుజెక్కు.' R. iv. 63. 'వెయ్యేసిమాడలయెత్తుగాగూడ ఖండించియున్న జంగమకోటి కొక్కొక్కనక్కు చెన్నుగా సమర్పణ చేసి మ్రొక్కుడును.' BD. v. 611. ఈ ఒడ్డాణమునకు నక్కులుకొట్టించు double up part of this belt, to make it shorter. See నక్క. నక్కేరు nakkēru. (నక్క+ఏరు.) n. A sort of plant, the roots of which are used in some medicines. Cordia myna. నక్కిళ్లు nakkiḷlu. (నక్కు+కీళ్లు.) n. The joints of the jaws. The jaw bones. పక్క పండ్లకీళ్లు. నక్కిళ్లుపడ్డవాడు one who has lockjaw.

(p. 970) māṭu māṭu. [Tel.] v. n. To get entangled, తగులుకొను. 'తొడరి యడిగిననిల్లాండ్రతోడమాటు.' T, iv. 31. v. a. To conceal or hide. దాచు, మరుగుచేయు.n. Concealment, మరుగు. A remedy, విరుగుడు. An ambush, screen, covering. గురికాడుదాగే గొయ్యి. మరుగు. A menstruum in which a metal is dissolved. Time, period, occasion. తేప. Connection, తగులము. An instalment of payment. A patch of metal put on to mend a vessel, తపెలలకువేసే అతుకు. పొదల మాటున behind the bushes. మాటుకట్టు, మాటుపెట్టు or మాటుఒగ్గు māṭu-kaṭṭu. v. a. To set a trap. మాటికి māṭiki. adv. Often, every now and then, అడుగడుగునకు. మాటిమాటికి māṭī-māṭi-ki. n. Time after time, again and again, frequently. మాటుగొయ్యి māṭu-goyyi. n. A hidden pitfall. మాటుపడు māṭu-paḍu. v. n. To disappear, vanish, అగుపడక పోవు, మరుగుపడు. Also, to get entangled, to get caught, తగులుపడు. మాటుమణుగు or మాటుమడుగు māṭu-maṇugu. v. n. To be hushed, still or silent. ౛ం౛ాటము ఉడిగి నిశ్శబ్దమగు. ఊరంతా మాటుమణిగి ఉండినది the whole town was in dead silence. మాటుమణిగిన తర్వాత in the dead of the night.

(p. 981) māsika māsika. [Tel.] n. A patch. అతుకు. A jumble, a pack of nonsense. చిక్కు. మాసికలు odds and ends. మాసికలువేయు or పెట్టు to patch up; to raise false claims.

(p. 1122) vajjaramu or వజ్రము vajjaramu. [Tel.] n. A kind of sea fish. ఒకవిధమైన సముద్రపు మత్స్యము. Glue used by carpenters, చెక్కను అతుకుటకు వేసేజిగట.

(p. 1144) vasala or వసలా vasala. [Tel.] n. A tenon, or piece of wood joined on to another. కొయ్యకు అతుకువేయుకొయ్య.
