Inferior; vile, low, despicable. నీచమైన. అధమంసేవకావృత్తిః servitude is the meanest work. నరాధములు the vilest of men. అధమాంగము = the lowest member of the body, the foot. అధమత్వము n. Inferiority, vileness. నీచత్వము. అధమాధమము adj. The basest, the worst, the lowest of the low. అతినీచమైన అధమాధముడు n. He who is the meanest of the mean, or basest of the base. మిక్కిలి నీచుడు. అధముడు adhamuḍu. n. A low fellow. నీచుడు.

This is a mere conversational compliment, like 'I kiss your hands' in Spanish. పాదతీర్థము water made holy by washing a saint's feet. పాదపద్మములు lotus-like feet. పాదలాక్ష red paint for the feet of women, పారాణి. తమపాదాలసముఖానకు నా కుమారుణ్ని తెచ్చి అప్పగిస్తున్నాను permit me to introduce my son to your honour's protection. వాడు తండ్రిపాదాలమీద పడెను he fell on his father's feet. తమపాదాలవద్ద before your honour, in your presence. తమపాదాల శరణుచొచ్చినాను I throw myself on your goodness. పాదచారి pāda-chāri. n. A foot passenger. కాలిబంటు. One who goes walking, నడచి పోవువాడు. పాదజుడు pādajuḍu. n. A Sudra, because born from the feet of Brahma. పాదత్రాణము pāda-trāṇamu. n. A shoe or boot. పైజారు. పాదపము pādapamu. n. A tree. పాదపూర్ణము pāda-pūrṇamu. n. An unnecessary word inserted in verse, to fill up the measure, such as in Sanskrit the words తు, హి, చ, స్మ, హి, వై, or, in Telugu poetry the words, ఒగి, తగ, మరి, ఇల, మహి , or verbs, చెలగు, ఒప్పు, &c. పాదరసము pāda-rasamu. n. Quick-silver, mercury. రసము. పాదలి pādali. n. A base or low man, అధముడు. 'పాపపు విప్రుని పనికిగామున్ను, తాపికాడైన పాదలిమందడీడు.' HD. iii. 110.

(p. 740) pāpamu pāpamu. [Skt.] n. Sin, crime, evil. అతణ్ని గురించి పాపము పుణ్యము రెండు ఎరుగును I know nothing about him either good or bad. interj. Alas! O dear! what a pity! unhappily! పాపము, వారుపడినారు alas! they fell down. ఆపె అక్కకు అన్నానికిలేదు పాపము her sister, alas! has nothing to eat. ఆ చిన్నవాణ్ని కొట్టకు పాపము for shame! don't beat the boy. మహా తెలిసినవాడవు పాపము you are a clever fellow, to be sure! వాడు నమ్మినాడు పాపము he believed it, alas! పాపము ఆ రూకలు అతడు చెల్లించినాడు to do him justice, he paid the money. పాపాత్ముడు, పాపపురుషుడు, పాపి or పాపోష్ఠుడు pāp-ātmuḍu. n. A sinner, wretch, villain. పాపాత్మురాలు a wicked woman, a sinful wretch. పాపి pāpi. interj. A vocative particle addressed to a woman or man. My dear! ఒరేపాపి my good fellow! పాపికా, ఓపాపోష్ఠులారా O wicked woman. 'కోపించి యాతండు గొంతి కిట్లనియెల, పాపికాబ్రమసితే? ప్రాణవల్లభుని దూపొడ గూడునేతుంపర్లునిండ.' BD. iii. 576. పాపోష్ఠి pāpisṭhi. adj. Horrid, scandalous, nefarious (a general term of disgust.) పాపిష్ఠుడు pāpishṭhuḍu. n. A great sinner, a miscreant. మిక్కిలిపాపి. పాపుడు pāpuḍu. n. A sinner. A cruel man, హింసకుడు. A wretch, అధముడు.
