(p. 53) anu anu. [Tel.] v. n. To say, to think, to suppose. చెప్పు, తలచు, ఎంచు. (Past p.|| అని. Relative p.|| అనిన or అన్న, Aor. p.|| అనే, అనెడి, అనెడు, అనేటి. Neg. p.|| అనని.) అట్లా అంటాడు so he says. కావలెననే మనసు a desire to have it. తళుక్కుమను to shine or glitter. చేతితో ఇట్లా అన్నాడు he did so with his hand. అనుటయు on his saying so. అనగా may be translated 'or;' thus అచలముగా కొండ Achalam or hill; Achalam which means a hill. అనుడు adv. On (his) saying this. అనగా, అనేటప్పటికి, అనవుడు. అనుకొను anu-konu. [Tel.] v. n. To say, suppose, think, (middle voice of అను to say or think.) నేను ఇది యిస్తాననుకొన్నాడు he thought that I would give him this.

(p. 58) anē , అనెడి, అనేటి anē. (the indefinite p|| of అను to say) Called, named, termed, కడప అనే ఊరు the town of Cuddapa.

(p. 608) dēhi dēhi. [Skt.] n. Lit: 'give thou' A demand, a request. దేహి అని అడిగిన నియ్యక పోవునా? if you say, Give, I pray thee, will he not grant it? అతడు దేహీ అనెడు వానికి నాస్తి అని అనడు if one asks him to give, he will not answer 'I have nothing.' భిక్షాందేహి Oh! bestow an alms, I pray thee.

(p. 867) bamma bamma. [from Skt. బ్రహ్మ.] Brahma. బమ్మగుడ్డు bamma-guḍḍu. n. The globe, sphere, mundane egg. బ్రహ్మాండము. 'బమ్మగుడ్డు అనెడు పట్నంబులోపల, బమ్మమెరుగలేని బాపడేల.' Vēma. i. 232.
