Ascertaining by investigation, decision. నిర్ణయము, నిష్పత్తి It commonly means a lie, a false hood, a false charge. అబద్ధము, కల్ల, తప్పు ఫిర్యాదు. నా మీద అపోహము చెప్పినాడు he laid the blame upon me falsely.

The mountain out of which the sun is supposed to be born each morning, ఉదయాద్రి పుట్టుగొడ్డు or పుట్టుగొడ్రాలు one who is hopelessly barren. పుట్టుగ్రుడ్డి or పుట్టుచీకు puṭṭu-gruḍḍi. n. One who is born blind. పుట్టుచెయుయువులు puttu-cheyuvulu. n. Ceremonies connected with a birth. జాతకర్మము. పుట్టుపాప puttu-pāpa. n. An albino. పుట్టువు, ప ుట్టుగు or పుట్టుబడి puṭṭuvu. n. One who is a bachelor all his lifetime. పుట్టువెర్రి puṭṭu-verri. n. One who is insane from his birth. పుట్టించు puṭṭinṭsu. v. a. To create, generate, form, make, raise, fabricate. పుట్టింట puṭṭ-inṭa. (abl. of పుట్టిల్లు.) At home, in her parent's house. పుట్టినిల్లు, పుట్నిల్లు or పుట్టిల్లు puṭṭin-illu. n. Birth-place, home; mint, fountain-head. వాడు దుర్మార్గమునకు పుట్టిల్లు he is a mass of wickedness.

The consonant sound of a letter, etc., A useless word, a slip of the tongue. A lie, a falsehood. అనృతము. 'పొల్లురాదగని దోస్తివి.' Pal. 399. అనగా, అబద్ధము రాగూడని స్నేహమువాడవు. adj. Useless, వ్యర్థము, Sumati, 29. పొల్లునదంచిన బియ్యము corn beaten out of husk of pined grain. వాని పొల్లు వాడు పోసికొని బ్రతుకుతాడు he keeps his blighted grain to himself, i.e., he keeps all his griefs to himself. బంగారుపొల్లు ఉన్నదిగాని మనిషిపొల్లులేదు gold may prove worthless, but man neveer can be so. మాట పొల్లుపోకుండా ఆడుతాడు he speaks without any slips. నకారపొల్లు the letter N. (్) without the vowel sound attached to it as in the words కలిగెన్, చెలగెన్. పొల్లుపోవు pollu-pōvu. v. n. To become worthless. చెబ్బరైపోవు. 'కాళ్ల గొలుసులవారు గడెమస్నెబంట్లు, జోళ్లుగా నున్ణట్టి సురభినాయకులు, ఘల్లుమన్నతిరిగి మళ్లుమనువారు, పొల్లుపోకయని పోట్లాడువారు.' Pal. 107. To lie, tell stories or lies, అబద్ధమాడు. పొల్లుదనము pollu-danamu. n. Dispiritedness, effeminacy, పౌరుషములేమి. పొల్లుపడు pollu-paḍu. v. n. To become useless, వ్యర్థమగు.

Frequently, for the most part. బహుశా. ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము prāyaṣ -chittamu. n. Expiation, propitiation, penance, absolution, recompense, retribution, పాపరిహారముకొరకు చేయుకర్మము. జీవప్రాయశ్చిత్తము certain expiatory ceremonies performed over a dying person. తనకొమారునికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయించినాడు he had his son purified by expiatory rites. ప్రాయోపవేశము or ప్రాణాచారము prāy-ōpavēṣamu. n. Fasting in order to die, starving to death voluntarily. పస్తుపడియుండి ప్రాణమును విడిచిపెట్టడమనేవ్రతము. ప్రాయోపవేశముచేయు or ప్రాణాచారముచేయు prāy-opavēṣamu-chēyu v. n. To meet death by fasting in fulfilment of a vow.
