(Metaphorically) a talent 'అభిమానంబు ధనంబుగా' (Bobbili Padya. ii. 129.) surely honour is wealth. క్రయధనము the price paid, the cost price, the purchase money. స్త్రీధనము dowry or pin-money. ధనద్విగుణము అయినది the interest equalled the principal. ధనదాయపరులు beneficent persons. ధనంజయుడు dhanan-jayuḍu. n. A title of Agni or Vulcan, the god of fire: as being the 'vanquisher of wealth.' Also, of Arjuna, అర్జునుడు. ధనంజయపురము dhananjaya-puramu. n. A volcano. To lay, charge, to bring as a charge, impose, ఆ రూకలను నేను ఇచ్చేటట్టు మోపుదలచేసిరి they made the money payable by me. మోపెట్టు mōp-eṭṭu. (మోపు + పెట్టు.) v. a. To place a weight upon, బరువుపెట్టు. ఆ కాగితనములపైని ఈరాయి మోపెట్టు put this weight on those papers. To brace a bow, విల్లు ఎక్కుపెట్టు. 'అర్జునుడు గాండీవంబు మోపెట్టె.' M. v. i. 261.

This word is used in the titles of several poems, and can be translated 'Adventures' or 'Tale,' as తారాశశాంకవిజయము the adventures of Tāra and Sasanka, similar to those of Stella and the Genius. విజయ vi-jaya. n. The name of a Telugu year. విజయదశమి vijaya-daṣami. n. The tenth day of the month Asvayuja, being the day after the festival to Sarasvati, when all books, arms and instruments of trade are worshipped. విజయముచేయు or విజయంజేయు vi-jayamu-chēyu. v. n. To come, వచ్చు. To proceed; deign or condescend to come or go. వేంచేయు, విచ్చేయు, వచ్చు, పోవు. ఈవేళ మాయింటికి విజయము చేస్తారా will you do me the honor to come to my house? will you favour me with your company.
