[Skt.] v. a. To excel or surpass. To neglect, disregard. మించు , అతిశయించు, తిరస్కరించు. 'అర్థచంద్రునితేట నవఘళించులలాటపట్టి దీర్చిన గంగ మట్టితోడ.' Swa. iii. 92.

Stubborness, unfeeling conduct. గడుసుపడు gaḍusu-paḍu. v. n. To become bold. ధీరుడగు.

(p. 353) gaḍḍu gaḍḍu. [Tel.] adj. Hard, rare, scarce. అసాధ్యము. adv. Much. మిక్కిలి. గడ్డుమాట a bold word. గడ్డువాడు a dangerous character. గడ్డు n. Violence, outrage. Difficulty. బలాత్కారము, ప్రయాసము, దుర్లభము. గడ్డురుకు to rebel, to be stiff-necked. గడ్డురుకు to rebel, to be stiff-necked. గడ్డుపనులు bold deeds. గడ్డుకొను gaḍḍu-konu. v. n. To excel. అతిశయించు.

(p. 997) muggoyya mug-goyya. [Tel.ముందు + కొయ్య] n. A gag a difficulty or puzzle. వసుచరిత్ర విద్వాంసుల కెల్ల ముగ్గొయ్య the Vasu Charitra is so hard as to puzzle the best scholars. adj. Difficult, అసాధ్యము.

(p. 1141) valla valla. [Tel. another form of వలన.] A postposition used as a case ending in the 5th case of nouns and pronouns. By, by means of, from. వానివల్ల తెలిసినది I learned it from him or of him. ఈ మందువల్ల by means of this medicine. adj. Convenient, feasible, practicable, possible. యుక్తము, అనుకూలము. అది వల్లకాదు it is impossible. అక్కడికి పోవల్లలేదు you cannot go there. ఇరి లేకుంటే నల్లకాదు I cannot do without this. చెల్లిస్తేగాని వల్లకాదు you cannot avoid paying it. వాడు ఉంటేగాని వల్లకాదు I cannot do without him. నీవు వస్తేగాని వల్లకాదు your coming is indispensable, it cannot be done unless you come. చెప్పుకోక వల్లకాదు you cannot avoid explaining this. n. A stratagem, expedient, convenience. ఉపాయము, యుక్తి. వల్లపట్టుతప్పి పడినాడు he lost his hold and fell. ఎడమనల్లవాడు a left handed man, ఎడమచెయి వాటముగలవాడు. వల్లకాని valla-kāni. adj. Impracticable, impossible. అసాధ్యమైన. వల్లమాలిన valla-mālina. adj. Much, excessive; impracticable, అపరిమితమైన. వల్లగానుండు valla-ga-n-unḍu. v. n. (p. 1281) sambādhamu sam-bādhamu. [Skt.] n. Difficulty, trouble; a crowded place. ఇరుకు, సంకటము, ఒత్తుడు, సంకటస్థలము, ఇరుకుస్థలము. adj. Narrow, contracted, impassable, impervious; crowded, ఇరుకైన, ఒత్తుడుగా నుండే, చొరడానకు అసాధ్యమైన.
