(p. 120) āyuvu āyuvu. [Skt.] n. Age, life, duration of life. ఆయువుతీరి చచ్చినచావు a natural death, death from old age. ఆయుర్దాయము period of life. ఆయుస్సు. ఆయుష్కరము āyush-karamu. adj. Life-lengthening. ఇది నీకు ఆయుష్కరము this will lengthen your days. āyush-karmamu. n. A polite term for shaving, క్షౌరము, as the 'renewing of one's age.' ఆయుష్మంతుడు āyushmantuḍu. adj. Long lived. n. One who can live a long life. ఆయుష్యము or ఆయుస్సు āyushyamu. n. Life.

(p. 978) mārkaṇḍēyuḍu mārkanḍ-ēyuḍu [Skt. from మృకండ.] n. The name of a certain sage who lived for ten centuries. తమకు మార్కండేయుని ఆయుస్సుకలుగుగాక may you live a thousand years.

(p. 1274) sañjīvi sanjīvi. [Skt.] n. That which gives or revives life, జీవమును కలుగజేయునది. A medicine which prolongs life. ఆయుస్సును వృద్ధిచేయుమందు. సంజీవకరణి sanjīva-karaṇi. n. A restorative, a cordial, a reviving medicine, a medicine tending to prolong life, or of sufficient efficacy to raise the dead. మళ్లీ బ్రతికించేమందు. 'ఘనతరసంజీవకరణి మోపగను వనితదిగ్గునలేచివచ్చినజూచి.'
