(p. 121) āranāḷakamu āranāḷakamu. [Skt.] n. Water in which rice has been washed, or, kept till it ferments. Sour gruel made by the fermentation of boiled rice. కడుగు, కలి.

(p. 122) āru or ఆరిపోవు āru. [Tel.] v. n. To dry, be dried up. To be quenched, or extinguished. To be cooled, to cool. To be appeased, allayed, mollified. To heal or be cured, as a wound. To be blunted. చేతడి ఆరదు the hand is yet wet: i.e., I have this moment finished the work. ఆరుచు అరసోయు to put to dry. ఆరవేయు or ఆరపెట్టు to dry or cause to dry by exposure to the sun or air. ఆరని without intermission, unceasing.
