(p. 136) ināmu or ఈనాము ināmu. [H.] Inam, a present of gift; land granted by the Government rent free for ever or subject to a small quit rent. A present by Government. మాన్యము, బహుమానము. ఇనాముదారుడు a holder of an inam. నెత్తురుకట్టు ఇనాము land granted to such as had shed blood in battle. కదీంయినాము an old bequest. దివిటీయినాము a grant of land to a torchbearer. ఇనాయతుచేయు to grant.

(p. 144) īna Same as ఈనె. ఈనపుడక or ఈనపుల్ల īna-puḍaka. [Tel.] n. The long grass of which brooms are made.

(p. 144) īnika īnika. [Tel. from ఈను] n. Bearing, calving, foaling. ఈనుట. yeaning, bringing forth young (only applied to brute creatures.) ఈనికయావు īnika-y-āvu. n. A cow about to calve.

(p. 144) īnu īnu. [Tel.] v. a. To give produce (as fields of grain.) To yean or bear (young.) To give forth, emit (sound, or splendour.) ఈనగాచి నక్కలపాలు చేసినట్టు all one's care is thrown away. మెరుగులీనిన emitting radiance. నేలయీనిన విధమున as though the earth calved.

(p. 145) īne īne. [Tel.] The stem or centric fibre in a leaf or feather. వేపయీనెలు withes or twigs of the margosa tree. ఈనె గాజులు īne-gājulu. A game played by girls.

(p. 148) umbaḷamu , ఉంబళి or ఉంబళిక umbaḷamu. [Tel.] adj. Free from taxation. ఈనామైన, పన్ను లేని. ఉంబళగ్రామము a village free of rent. జాగీరుగ్రామము.

(p. 216) osagu or ఒసంగు osagu. [Tel.] v. a. To give. ముద్దొసగు to give a kiss. ముద్దులొసంగు నీ మొగము your beautiful face. ఒసగు n. A gift ఈని, త్యాగము.

(p. 218) ōpu ōpu. [Tel.] v. t. To bear, endure, tolerate. ఓర్చు. చూపోపక A. v. 78. unable to stand before his face. ఇంతకష్టమోపలేను I cannot bear this trouble. ఓప రాని. ōpa-rāni. adj. Intolerable సహింపగూడని. ఓపలేని ōpa-lēni. adj. Impatient. ఓర్పులేని; helpless,దిక్కులేని. ఓపలేనివారికి వద్దన్నవారే తల్లిదండ్రులు those who check the impatient are their best friends. ఓపు ōpu. v. n. To be fit, to suit; to be worthy: to be able: to be possible or practicable. చాలు, తగియుండు, పోనోప్పనా can he go? పోనోపడు he cannot go. ఈనోపని unable to give.

(p. 256) kalabanda kalabanda. [Tel.] n. The aloeplant. The Barbadoes aloe, The Indian aloe, Aloe vera. రాకాసికలబంద the American aloe. Agave americana. పెద్దకలబంద or ఎరికతాళి (Bellary) the Bastard Aloe, Agave vivipara. చిన్నకలబంద Aloc litto-ralis. ఈనెకలబంద Aloa officinalis (Watts). కలబందగుంజు the pulp of the aloe.

(p. 265) kāṇḍamu kānḍamu. [Skt.] n. Water. నీళ్లు. Opportunity సమయము. An arrow బాణము. A stem or stalk ఈనె. A handle. A cluster or clump దుబ్బు. A chapter or section పరిచ్ఛేదము. కర్మకాండము the doctrine of works, the required rites. ఊరు కాండములు the thighs.

Barren, sterile శూన్యము. గొడ్డావు a barren cow, ఈననిపశువు. ఎనుపగొడ్డు, or ఎనుము a buffalo. ఎలుగుగొడ్డు, or ఎలుగు a bear గొడ్లు kine, horned cattle. చిరుతగొడ్డు a leopard. గొడ్డు, గొడ్డురాలు or గొడ్రాలు goḍḍu. n. A barren woman. గొడ్డంబలి gruel without any rice in it. నూకలులేని అంబలి. గొడ్డు౛ావ or గొడ్డుసంకటి ragi food without any sauce or curry to be taken with it. గొడ్డుకారము very hot మిక్కిలికారముగానున్న. గొడ్డుచెట్టు a barren tree ఫలింపనిచెట్టు. గొడ్డుపోతు goḍḍu-pōtu. n. A useless man. నిష్క్రయోజనకుడు. గొడ్డుపోవు goḍḍu-pōvu. v. n. To become barren. గొడ్రాలగు. To become useless వ్యర్థమగు. To become effeminate పౌరుషహీనమగు. గొడ్డేరు goḍḍēru. n. A dry stream. నీళ్లు లేనియేరు. v. a. To rent or farm గుత్తచేయు. 'గీ బొడ్డుపల్లెనుగొడ్డేరిమోసపోతి నెట్లుచెల్లించుటంకంబులేడుమార్లు?' వి.

(p. 613) dōgdha dōgdha. [Skt.] n. A cowherd. గొల్లవాడు. దోగ్ధ్రి dōgdhri. n. A milch cow. ఈనిన ఆవు, పాలిచ్చే ఆవు.

(p. 811) poraka poraka. [Tel.] n. A blade of grass. (గడ్డి.) పోచ, ఈనెపుడక. A broom for sweeping, చీపురుకట్ట. పొరకచేప poraka-chēpa. n. A certain large fish. పొకరటి poraka-ṭi. n. The outside wall of a house. వాకిటిచేరుగోడ, ప్రహరీగోడ. పొరకసుడి poraka-suḍi. n. A bad or unlucky mark or tuft of hair, (సుడి,) found on oxen and other animals.

(p. 1046) mōpu mōpu. [Tel. from మోయు.] v. a. To load, place a burden on (another,) మోయుజేయు. To lay (a fault) upon (a person.) To impute, or charge (against another,) ఆరోపించు. To prop up, ఆనించు. చేతులునేలమోపెను he laid or rested his hands on the ground. 'నారిచేసినతప్పు నామీద మోపి.' Sār. D. 545. 'వాడిసూది మోపినయంతటి భూమి ధర్మనందనునకునీక' as much land as the point of a sharp needle can cover, or rest on. Kanyaka Puran. vii. 116. n. A bundle, load, burden. గడ్డిమొదలైనవాటికట్ట, భారము. A bowstring. వింటినారి. adj. Much, heavy, అధికము. ఉత్తరమున వాన నిండామోపుగానున్నది there is rain impending in the north. దెబ్బలు మోపుగాపడినవి the blows fell thick. మోపుగానుండే గాయము a severe wound. 'నగరోపకంఠంబునను మోపువైచి.' B. P. v. 113 మోవరి or మోపుకాడు mōp-ari. n. A sustainer, a supporter, one who props. మూయువాడు, భావవాహకుడు.మోపాది mōpādi. (మోపు + అది.) n. Danger, risk అపాయము, సంకటము. మోపి mōpi. A widow, విధవ, ముండమోపి. ముండమోసినది she wears a shaven pate. మోపించు mōpinṭsu. v. a. (Causal of మోయు.) To cause to bear a burden. To impose. మోయునట్టుచేయు, నిందపెట్టు. ఆ కట్టెలను వానిచేత మోపించిరి they made him carry the fagots of wood. ఆ తప్పును వానిమీద మోపించిరి they caused the fault to be laid upon him. 'మోపరికగుతగ్గు మొగ్గులభరము, మోపించుకొనునట్టి ముగ్ధునికగునె.' BD. page 129. మోపిక mōpika. n. Weight, భారము. Help, aid. కాండ్లమోపికచేసి by the help of the plough. మోపిడు mōp-iḍu. (మోపు + ఇడు.) v. a. To string a bow, విల్లు ఎక్కిడు. మోపుకొను mōpu-konu. v. a. To take upon one's-self. మోపుదల mōpu-dala. n. A charge or accusation. ఆరోపణము. A load, భారము. ఈనమోపుదలగానుండే ఆవు a cow on the point of calving. ఇవ్వ మోపుదలయైన రూకలు money still due, బాకీ ఉన్న సొమ్ము. చాలా మోపుదలగా చెప్పెను he spoke very impressively. వానిమీద నేరము మోపుదల అయినది he was charged with the offence. మోపుదలచేయు mōpudala-chēyu. v. a. To lay, charge, to bring as a charge, impose, ఆ రూకలను నేను ఇచ్చేటట్టు మోపుదలచేసిరి they made the money payable by me. మోపెట్టు mōp-eṭṭu. (మోపు + పెట్టు.) v. a. To place a weight upon, బరువుపెట్టు. ఆ కాగితనములపైని ఈరాయి మోపెట్టు put this weight on those papers. To brace a bow, విల్లు ఎక్కుపెట్టు. 'అర్జునుడు గాండీవంబు మోపెట్టె.' M. v. i. 261.
