One. ఒక్కుమ్మడిని (ఒక్క ఉమ్మడిని) all at once, in one rush. ఒక్కపొద్దు A 'single meal,' i.e., a religious fast: restriction to one meal a day. నిన్న ఒక్కపొద్దు ఉంటిని I ate but once yesterday. ఒక్కెడ (ఒక్క+ఎడ) occasionally, at times.

(p. 230) kaṭika or కటికి kaṭika. [Tel.] adj. Mere. quite, entire, total, downright, cruel, unfeeling, horrid. కటికపని butchery. కటికచీకటి utter or thick darkness. నిన్నంతా నేను కటికపస్తు ఉంటిని all yesterday I was absolutely starving. కటిక్కన or కటిక్కిన kaṭikkana. adv,. Sharply, smartly, without making any allowance, కటిక or కటికవాడు kaṭika n. A butcher. మాంసమమ్మువాడు.

(p. 578) daggira , దగ్గర or దగ్గర daggira. [Tel.] n. Nearness. సమీపము. adv. and postposition. By, at, near, close by, at hand, towards, to, with, in possession of. వద్ద, సమీపమందు. ఎవ్వరిదగ్గర కొన్నావు from whom did you buy it? నా దగ్గిర ఉన్నది I have it by me. అతని దగ్గిరలేదు he has not got it. ఈ పద్యము దగ్గిరనుండి చదివెను he read on from this verse. నేను దగ్గిర ఉంటిని I was by, I was present. దగ్గిరకుతీయు to take (a child) into one's family, to patronise, protect, take into one's keeping. దగ్గిరి or దగ్గరి daggiri. adj. Near. సమీపమందున్న. దగ్గిరించు, దగ్గరించు or దగ్గరు daggirinṭsu. v. n. To draw near, approach. సమీపించు.

(p. 723) paryāyamu paryāyamu. [Skt.] n. An order, arrangement. ప్రకారము, క్రమము, వరుస, అనుక్రమము. An opportunity, occasion, a time, అవసరము, సమయము, తడవ. Generic or specific character. నాలుగు పర్యాయములు పోయి ఉంటిని I went four times. ఈ రెండు పర్యాయములనుండి జ్వరము బైటకాయడములేదు these two times the fever has not shown itself. adj. Moderate, మితమైన, యధోచితమైన. పర్యాయపదము paryāya-padamu. n. A synonym. పర్యాయముగా paryāyamugā. adv. Moderately. అది యిప్పట్లో పర్యాయముగానున్నది it is not pretty well. ఆ దేశములో వర్షము పర్యాయముగా నున్నది the rain is but slight there. పర్యాయతః or పర్యాయేణ paryāyatah. adv. Gradually, by degrees. Moderately.
