(p. 47) adhōmukhamu adhō-mukhamu. [Skt.] n. The face turned downwards: a downcast countenance. కిందికి వంచుకొని యుండే మొగము. అధోముఖముగా adv. With the face turned downwards, with a downcast countenance; headlong. తలవంచుకొని, తలక్రిందుగా. దివిటీని అధో ముఖముగా పట్టినాడు he held the torch with the flame downwards. అధోముఖుడు [Skt.] n. He who is downcast. ashamed or crest fallen. అతడు అధోముఖుడై ఉండెను he hung his head.

(p. 361) gasika gasika. [Tel.] n. A spike or pointed piece of wood, a wedge. A how or small spade made of wood. An arrow. గసికరాయి gasika-rāyi. n. A pointed stone. వాడు చెప్పినమా నా మనస్సులో గారగసికగా నాటి ఉండెను his words were fixed in my heart.

(p. 362) gā gā. [Tel.] n. (an adverbial affix being the infinitive కా of అగు) తండ్రిగా ఉండినాడు he was like a father to me దొరగా ఉండెను. he was as master, or he was master. మూడుగా తెలుస్తున్నది it looks like three. గమిగా వచ్చినారు they came in a crowd. నల్లగానున్నది it is black; Added to verbs. It means when, while, as or since. ఈ పని కాగానే as soon as ever this is finished. వాడు చేరగా on his arrival, when he arrived. మీరు ఆ పనిని చేయుచుండగా while you are doing that work.

(p. 875) bāgu bāgu. [Tel.] n. Good, well being, a good state, or condition; health. క్షేమము, సుఖము. Beauty, charm, attraction. అందము Benefit, use, advantage. Manner, విధము. adj. Good, safe, sound, correct. క్షేమముగల. Beautiful, అందముగల. అట్లాచేస్తే యేమిబాగు what is the use of doing so? మహాబాగు very well, yes. బాగరి bāgari. (బాగు+అరి.) n. A beautiful or handsome woman or man. అందగాడు, అందగత్తె. 'తెల్లనితమ్మియందునెలదేటివలెన్ దగునొక్కబాగరిన్ నల్లనివాని.' R. iii. 44. బాగా or బాగుగా bāgā. adv. Well, properly, duly, satisfactorily, in good health. బాగానే ఉన్నది it is all right or safe. ఈ బట్ట బాగా ఉండలేదు this cloth is not good. వానికి బాగా ఉన్నది he is well. వానితలిదండ్రు లు బాగానే ఉన్నారు his parents are alive and well. వెన్నెల బాగా ఉండెను the moonshine was bright. చిన్నది బాగా ఉన్నది the girl is pretty. బాగుచేయు bāgu-chēyu. v. a. To do good to, to ameliorate. To mend, trim, repair. To cure. To clean. To set right, rectify, make fit, చక్కబరచు. బాగుదార bāgu-dāra. n. A small knife, చిన్నకత్తి. బాగుపడు bagu-padu. v. n. To be benefited, to thrive, to prosper. To recover health. To be reformed. బాగులోకివచ్చు to prosper or thrive. బాగులోకి తెచ్చు to benefit, ameliorate, rectify. బాగులాడి bāgu-lāḍi. n. A beau, అందగత్తె. బాగులు bagulu. n. Gestures, acts. వెర్రిబాగులు foolish gestures. వెర్రిబాగులవాడు or వెర్రిబాగులమారి one who acts as a mad man. 'బాలెవుం బాగులుమాయగన్గొనగపట్టుక వచ్చితిమయ్య.' Satya. iv. 9. బాగాలు (బాగు+ఆలు) the lovely wife. 'గురుని బాగాలు తమతోటగోడ దాటి.' T. iv. 145.

(p. 1100) lāgu lāgu. [Tel.] v. a. &n. To pull, haul, drag, draw. ఈడ్చు. వాడు ప్రాణము విడుచునప్పుడు వానికాళ్లుచేతులు లాగినవి in dying his arms and legs were drawn up, or were contracted. n. Attraction, ఆకర్షించడము. Consent, సమ్మతి. Manner, విధము. A summer sault, leap, లంఘనము. Short drawers, reaching only to the middle of the thigh. చల్లడము. లాగించు lāginṭsu. v. a. To cause to pull or drag, లాగునట్లుచేయు. లాగుకొను lāgu-konu. v. a. To take by force, seize. బలాత్కారముగా తీసుకొను, అపహరించుకొను. లాగుబడి lāgu-baḍi. n. Expense, cost. లాగులాడు lāgul-āḍu. v. n. To struggle, పెనగులాడు. లాగు or లాగున lāgu. adv. Like, as, రీతిగా, విధముగా, వలె. 'వెలయుహరిశ్చంద్రువిధమున, నలునివీకను, పురకుత్సుచాడ్పున, పురూరవునిలీల. సగరులాగున. కార్తవీర్యు మర్యాదగను. గయునిక్రియ.' H. i. 42. ఏలాగుననున్నది how is it, in what fashion is it? ఈలాగున in this way. అలాగున in that manner? అతడు చెప్పిన లాగున according to what he said? అది అయ్యేలాగున చేయవలసినది you must manage to get this done. మాకు అందేలాగు so that it may reach us. మొద్దులాగు నిలిచినాడు he stood stock still. వాని ముఖములాగు ఉండెను it looked like his face. ఇట్లు చేసేలాగున చెప్పుము tell him to do so.

(p. 1122) vajīru , వజీరుడు, వజ్జీరుడు or వజ్రూడు vajīru. [H.] n. A 'vizier' or minister. మంత్రి. A hero, శూరుడు. A commander. ౛ోదు. 'నానా వజీరసేనామానభేదనుండును.' Vasu. (preface.) 24. టీ వజీర, మ్లేచ్ఛప్రధానులయొక్క. 'లావున నార్చుచున్ గలుగులాయపుతేజివజీరు డంకుశంబావనజారిపై బరప.' T. v. 136. టీ కలుగులాయపుతేజివజీరు, బొక్కలు స్థానముగాగలిగిన యెలుకవాహనము గలిగినటువంటి విఘ్నేశ్వరుడు. 'చివురుంజేకత్తివజీరుసడ్డసేయయుండెన్.' H. ii. 189. టీ మన్మథుణ్ని లక్ష్యము చేయకుండా ఉండెను.
