(p. 631) naḍucu or నడచు naḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To walk, go, move, proceed. To happen, occur, pass, take place. To behave, conduct oneself, ప్రవర్తించు. To take effect, as an order. To live, continue, last. To descend, as an estate. To beat, as applied to the pulse. To act (as a father, servant, &c.) వారికిందనడిచేభూమి the field they hold or enjoy. నడిచేనెల the current month, వానికిని మాకును నడిచిన జాబులు the letters that passed between us. నడిచినజగడము the dispute that took place. శ్లోకము నడవవద్దా surely the verse ought to flow easily. ఆ ఉత్సవము నడుస్తున్నదా is the feast still kept up? నడుపు or నడపు naḍupu. v. a. (p. 689) paṇḍuga, paṇḍugu, paṇḍuva or పండువు panḍuga. [Tel.] n. A feast or festival, a treat. ఉత్సవము. దాన్ని చూడగా వానికన్నులకు పండుగ అయినది the sight of her was a feast to his eyes. ఇల్లలుకగానే పండుగ యగునా? does the decking of a house constitute a feast? చెవులపండువు a treat to the ears.

A Smarta Brahmin who performs the six acts above enumerated. షడక్షరమంత్రము a spell which has six syllables. షడ్గుణము six-fold, six times as much. ఆరంతలు. The six magic arts; which are called ఆకర్షణము, స్తంభనము, మారణము, విద్వేషణము ఉచ్చాటనము, మోహనము. షణ్మతములు shaṇ-matamulu. n. The six Schools or doctrines of Philosophy, ఆరుదశములు. Enmity, animosity, పగ, విరోధము. వారికి షష్టాష్టమముగానున్నది they are on bad terms. షష్టి shashṭi. n. Sixty. ఆరువది. షష్టిపూర్తి shashṭi-pūrti. n. A feast held on a man's attaining his sixtieth year. అరువదియేండ్లవయసు రాగానే చేయు ఉత్సవము. షష్ఠము ṣhashṭhamu. adj. Sixth. ఆరవది. షష్ఠి ṣhashṭhi. n. The sixth day of the lunar fortnight, ఆరవతిథి. In grammar, the sixth case. ఆరవ విభక్తి. షష్ఠికము or షష్ఠిక shashṭhikamu. n. A kind or rice of quick growth. వ్రీహిభేదము. షష్ఠ్యంతములు shashṭh-y-anta-mulu. n. Dative verses, i.e., a set of verses in the preface of a Telugu peom, having every phrase in the dative thus: To the prince, to the hero, &c., &c. అవతారిక కొననుచెప్పే షష్ఠీవిభక్తిగల వాక్యములు గల పద్యములు. షష్ఠ్యంతమైన శబ్దము a word in the sixth case. ఆరవ విభక్తియందుండు శబ్దము.

(Kālahas. §. 66.) he who takes liberties with such as are not his equals. సరికానిపని improper behaviour or conduct. సరికిసరి tit for tat. గోధుములు బియ్యానికి గోధుములు బియ్యానికి సరికిసరి ఇస్తారు they barter wheat for an equal quantity of rice.సరికిసరి చేసినాడు he repaid them according to what they had done. సరి. adj. Equal, like. సమము, ఈడైన. Just, right, proper, fit, correct, suitable, యుక్తమైన, తగిన, Corresponding to. Even, level, not odd, మిట్టపల్లములులేని. Ended, finished, సమాప్తము. అతనికి సరిలేడు he has no equal. రాత్రి అయినా సరే పగలు అయినా సరే be it day or be it night. ఇది సరికాదు this is not right. ఈ ఉత్సవము నేటితో సరి this feast is finished with this day. adv. Equally. సమానముగా, సరిగా. Fully, పూర్ణముగా. 'జలధి తోజలధియు సరిబోరుకరణి.' DRY. 2224. 'సరిబల్కుమని యదల్చు.' T. iii. 143. సరి (interj.) Well! Yes! very well! very good! Aha! Aha! 'గుళ్లుదాగుడుముచ్చిళ్లు గోలిపెట్టెలేలపాటలు, సరిబేసు లీలకూతలాదిగాశైశవక్రీడలాడి.' Vish. vii. 212. సరియగు sari-y-agu. v. n. To become equal, సమానమగు, to be destroyed, నశించు. సరియైన sari-y-aina. adj. Equal, like; just, right, proper, fit. Corresponding to. Level, straight; even, not odd. సమమైన, యుక్తమైన, తగిన, నూటియైన, ఈడైన, అవిషయమైన, మిట్టపల్లములు లేని. సరిలేని sari-lēni. adj. Matchless, unequalled. అసమానమైన. సరివచ్చు sari-vatstsu. v. n. To match, be alike, సమానమగు. సరిసమానము sari-samānamu. (a pleonasm.) n. Equality. సమము, తనకు సరిసమానము ఎవరులేరనుకొనుచున్నాడు he imagines that he has no equal. సరేగదా sarē-gadā. interj. Very well!

Cultivation, tillage. కృషి, వ్యవసాయము. దండుసాగుచుండగా when the army was marching. పని సాగలేదు the business does not go on or proceed. అతని మాట సాగలేదు his word did not take effect. కమ్మిపాగలేదు the wire could not be drawn out or lengthened. ఆ ఉత్సవము సాగుచున్నదా is the feast still kept up? దానికోరిక కొనసాగినది her wish is fulfilled. చెప్పసాగినది she went on to say. ఇది లేకుండా నాకు సాగదు I cannot get on without this. అక్కడ సాగకవస్తిని as I could not subsist there I came away. సాగుపాటు sāgu-pāṭu. n. Means of getting on, livelihood. జరుగుపాటు. సాగుబడి sāgu-baḍi. n. Cultivation. వ్యవసాయము. plu. సాగుబళ్లు. సాగగొట్టు sāga-goṭṭu. v. a. To hammer, out, extend or draw out (by heating a rod of iron, gold, etc.) పొడుగగునట్లుగా కొట్టు, సాగదీయు sāga-dīyu. v. a. To extend, stretch out, draw out, lengthen, పొడుగగునట్టుగా లాగు. To importune, మిక్కిలి ప్రార్థించు, బతిమాలుకొను. వాణ్ని ఎంత సాగదీసినా పోనన్నాడు however much I urged him he said he would not go. సాగనంపు sāga-n-ampu. v. a. To send away, to send one on, to set a traveller on his way, to convey or accompany one for a little distance. జపించు. సాగబడు or సాగిలబడు sāga-baḍu. v. n. To fall down at full length, flat or prostrate. సాష్టాంగపడు. 'సాగబడి మ్రొక్కిన శౌరికృ పార్ద్రచిత్తుడై.' Parij. v. 48. సాగించు sāginṭsu. v. a. To conduct, carry on (a business.) To celebrate (a feast.) జరుపు. కీళ్లుసాగించినారు they performed the swinging feast.
