(p. 5) aṅgamu angamu. [Skt.] n. The body, a limb, member, part, division or branch. అంగవంచకము = ఉపాయము, సహాయము, దేశకాలవిభజనము, ఆపదకు ప్రతిక్రియ, కార్యసిద్ధి. అద్భుతాంగులు beings having wondrous forms. అష్టాంగములు = the eight forms or stages of meditation, i. e, యమము, నియమము, ప్రాణాయామము, ప్రత్యాహారము, ధ్యానము, ధారణ, మననము, సమాధి. చతురంగములు the four divisions of an army, i. e., రథములు, ఏనుగులు, గుర్రములు, బంటులు. పంచాంగము the Indian calendar giving particulars of each day, as తిథి, వారము, నక్షత్రము, యోగము, కరణము. రాజ్యాంగములు the various departments of Government. షడంగములు or వేదాంగములు the six sciences dependent on the Vedas. i. e., శిక్ష, కల్పము, వ్యాకరణము, నిరుక్తము, జ్యోతిషము, ఛందస్సు. సప్తాంగములు = the seven constituents of a Government. స్వామి, అమాత్యుడు, సుహృత్తు, కోశము, రాష్ట్రము, దుర్గము, బలము. సాష్టాంగ ప్రణామము prostrate homage, touching the ground with eight members of the body, i. e., eyes or chest and forehead, hands, knees and feet.

(p. 138) immu immu. [Tel. imperative of ఇచ్చు] v. t. Give (thou.) See ఇచ్చు. ఇమ్ము n. A place, a home, Opportunity, convenience. State, plight. Beauty. ఇంపు. Expediency ఉపాయము, happiness, ease సుఖము ఇమ్ములేని inconvenient, pinched. ఇమ్ములను well, suitably బాగుగా. ఇమ్ము adj. Convenient, suitable, opportune, fitting. అనుకూలము, యుక్తము. whole, entire, ఆమూలము. Pleasant, fine. మనోజ్ఞము. Plain, evident. స్పష్టము. ఇమ్మెయి immeyi. adv. Thus. (p. 161) upakramamu upa-kramamu. [Skt.] n. Beginning or commencement. A skilful plan. ఉపాయమెరిగి ప్రారంభించుట. ఉక్రమించు upa-kraminṭsu. v. a. To begin, to proceed to do, commence. ఆరంభించు.

(p. 164) upāyamu upāyamu. [Skt.] n. A contrivance, expedient, means, method, agency. వెరవు. ఉపాయము కల్పించు to contrive. చతురుపాయములు or ఉపాయచతుష్టయము, the four devices, i.e., సామము using gentle or pacific means, దానము giving presents or bribing, భేదము sowing dissensions among the enemy or dividing his force or strength, దండము punishment. ఉపాయముగా upāyamu-gā. adv. Cleverly, artfully. ఉపాయశాలి upāya-ṣāli. n. A clever man, a man of tact, a man of many devices.

(p. 187) ettu ettu. [Tel.] n. 1. Height. ఉన్నతము. 2. Weight: బరువు, తూనిక. The weight of a quarter of a maund, i. e., two viss, or, six pounds and a quarter రెండువీసెలకొలది. (A. v. 96.) A wreath of flowers. పువ్వుటెత్తు, పుష్పసరము. A move at chees చదరంగపుఎత్తు; hence (metaphorically) a contrivance, a trick, ఉపాయము; an effort. ప్రయత్నము. ఎత్తులమారి a clever man. ఎత్తుకట్టు or ఎత్తుచూచు to weigh, to try. ఎత్తుకు ఎత్తు a Roland for an Oliver, one device against another. ఎత్తు ettu adj. High, heavy. ఎత్తుపయనము a sudden journey.

(p. 187) ettugaḍa ettu-gaḍa. [Tel.] n. An endeavour, project. A contrivance. A manœuvre, device, trick. యత్నము, ఉపాయము. ఎత్తుగడ చేయు to endeavour.

(p. 208) oḍikamu oḍikamu. [Tel.] n. Propriety, fitness. Prettiness, beauty, elegance మనోజ్ఞము యుక్తము. A vow, or imprecation. శపథము, పంతము. An expedient. ఉపాయము.

(p. 208) oḍupu oḍupu. [Tel.] n. Catching, seizing. 'ఒడుపుదప్పినయట్టి యురగంబుపోలె' (HD. i. 372.) like a snake that has missed seizing what it aimed at. An attempt పూనిక. A trick ఉపాయము. Profit, gain, లాభము. ఒడుపువేయు to use an expedient, to try, to take by trickery, to snatch away, to rob. ఎత్తుకొనిపోవజూచు.

To be fixed in నాటు. 'కెంపుచెక్కడంపుసని కీల్కొనుబంగరుపావలెక్కి' Radha. iii. 13. 'కేవల పాపకర్మములగీల్కొనియున్న నిశాటకోటికిన్.' V. P. ii. 304. కీలుకొలుపు or కీలుపరుచు kīlu-kolupu. v. a. To fasten, unite, to lay, put. కీలుగంటు kīlu-ganṭu. n. A knot or crest of hair. వెండ్రుకలదూముడి. కీల్౛డ kīl-zaḍa. n. A woman's plaited tress of hair.

To pass away, elapse, కడచు. To die. చచ్చు. గతికల్పించు to devise an expedient. గతికుడు gatikuḍu. n. He who has a resource. అనన్యగతికుడై having no other resource. గతుడు gatuḍu. n. One who is gone or entered. ఆనందాబ్ధిగతుండనై I plunged in a sea of bliss. గత్యంతరము gat-y-antaramu. n. An alternative: an other means, or resource.

Apocryphal books teaching a secret code of worship, prescribing the adoration of demons and women with magical rites, with the use of flesh and wine, and extraordinary lewdness. తంత్రజ్ఞుడు tantra-gnyuḍu. n. A conspirator, an accomplice. తంత్రవాది tantra-vādi. n. A clever, ingenious man.
