A plough with bullocks complete. సర్వావయవములుగల నాగటికి ఎడ్లను పూనినది. అరకలుకట్టు to harness a team. అరకలువిప్పు to unyoke the cattle. ఒక యెద్దు చనిపోయినది, అరకసాగక తొందరగానున్నది I cannot carry on my ploughing well as one of my bullocks is dead. అరకట్టరక a plough with a pair of bullocks. విడిచికట్టరక a plough with a change of bullocks. అరకాడు ara-kāḍu. (from అరక+కాడు) n. A cultivator, a ryot.

(p. 186) eḍlu eḍlu. [Tel. Contracted from ఎద్దులు] n, Oxen, cattle దుక్కియెడ్లు plough oxen.

(p. 188) eddu eddu. [Tel.] n. A bullock, an ox; (plural ఎద్దులు, ఎడ్లు.) ఎద్దునాలుక Ox-tongue, a kind of plant, Phlouns or Bremma esculenta or Elephantopus scaber. దర్పకము. ఎద్దుపట్టు eddu-paṭṭu. v. a. To geld an ox ఎద్దుకు పిచ్చలుతీయు. ఎద్దుబలువు eddu-baluvu. n. A bullock load. ఎద్దుముట్టె eddu-muṭṭe. (from ముట్టె a nozzle) a sort of root. ఎద్దులవాడు or ఎడ్లవాడు eddulavāḍu. n. A bullock driver. ఎద్దువేట (R. ii. 29.) n. The use of a bullock as a screen for the huntsman, like a stalking horse.

(p. 226) kampatuḍupu kampa-tuḍupu. [Tel.] n. A hurdle used as a harrow. రెండు ఎడ్లతో తోలే కంపచీపురికట్ట.

(p. 448) cāvaḍi or చావిడి or సావిడి ṭsāvaḍi. [Tel.] n. An audience chamber కొలువుకూటము. A lodge: a post house: a portico or court: a porch: a caravanserai or rest house for the use of wayfarers. A hospital. A barrack room. ఎడ్లచావిడి a cowhouse. సూరెకారముచావిడి salt-petre works or a saltpetre manufactory. చావటిమాటలు town-talk, common report: What everybody know. తల చావిడి a gate house or hall. కచేరిసావిడి a reception room.

(p. 943) maḍaka maḍaka. [Tel.] n. A plough with bulocks complete. నాగటికి ఎడ్లను పూన్చిన యరక, అరక, ఏరు. A folding, a fold, మడువు. A promontory of land, ఏటిమలకసందు. వానికి నాలుగు మడకలు సాగుచున్నవి he has four ploughs in use. రెండుమడకలనేల as much land as requires two ploughs. మడకలు కట్టినతర్వాత after he yoked the cattle to his ploughs. మడకలువిప్పినారు they loosed the cattle from the plough.

(p. 960) malagu or మలుగు malagu. [Tel.] v. a. and v. n. To wander, to roam about, to turn, to quit. తిరుగు, మళ్లు, మరలు, నివృత్తిచేయు. To be bent, వంకరగు. 'సారెమలంగిచూచుచున్.' A. iii. 28. 'వినుమజ్ఞానంబునగర్మని రూఢతగలుగు, దానమలగవుజననంబునుమరణము.' M. XII. vi. 163. మలచు, మలుచు, మలపు or మలుపు malaṭsu v. a. To cause to turn, మలగజేయు, త్రిప్పు, మళ్లించు. To chip, to cut stone with a chisel, to engrave a stone. కక్కువేయు, ఉలితోచెక్కు. To winnow grain so as to remove pebbles, dirt, &c. బియ్యములోని రాళ్లు తీసివేయు. మలచినబియ్యము winnowed grain. ఎడ్లనుమలచు to turn the oxen. To fold, to bend. మడుచు.' కెమ్మోవులు మలంచి లోలోన నయ్యన నొయ్యనను చక్కను.' A. iv. 45. టీ మలంచి అనగా మడిచి, పెదవివిరిచి. 'పాదములు పిల్కలు నొక్కటిగా మలంచి.' T. iii. 120. టీ మలంచి, చుట్టి. మలపు malapu. n. (p. 1010) mulu Same as ముల్లు (q. v.) adj. Thorny. ములుకత్తి mulu-katti. n. A short knife used for removing thorns. ములుకోల or మునికోల mulu-kōla. n. A goad, ఎడ్లనుపొడిచేకోల. ములుగోగు mulu-gōgu. n. A plant, Hibiscus suratensis. ములుగొలిమిడి mulu-golimiḍi. n. A plant bearing a dark black flower, Copparis spinosa. కోకిలాక్షము, ఇక్షురము. ములుగోరంట mulu-gōranṭa. n.
