Execution, fulfilment, the period of one ruler's government. ఏలుబడి, దొరతనము, హయాము. అతని అమలులో in his reign or sway. ఆ కలెక్టరు గారి అమలులో in that Collector's days. ఆ తీర్పు అమలులోకి తేబడిన తరువాత after the decision was executed. వాని మీద అమలుచేసినారు they took steps against him, they put in force against him. అమల్దారుడు an Amildar, i.e., one who exercises authority. One who puts government orders into force. A Tahsildar or revenue officer in charge of Taluq.

(p. 611) dora or ధొర dora. [Tel. from a Turanian root Tur = swift, powerful. The root is found also in Turk, Turannian, త్వర, త్వరితము, &c.) A chief, a baron, a lord, master, owner, ruler, kind, governor. ఏలువాడు, రాజు, గొప్పవాడు. A gentleman. మేటిదొర the chief lord. ప్రభువు. A great man, గొప్పవాడు. An equal, సమానుడు. దొరకడలు dora-kaḍalu. (దొర+కడలు.) n. A great wave, a surge. గొప్పఅల, కల్లోలము దొరసాని dora-sāni-tanamu. n. A lady, a queen. ప్రభ్వి, యజమానురాలు, రాణి. దొరసానితనము dora-sāni-tanamu. n. The dignity of being a lady. Queenship, ladyship.

(p. 864) baḍi baḍi. [Tel. from పడు to fall.] adj. Slight, petty, 'బడిపనులేమేని పనుపుచు నంబిక డుకొనిపిలువంగ నడువనేర్చితిని.' BD. iv. 1267. బడిపనులు servitude. కొలువుడుపనులు. బడిగుర్రము an unsaddled horse. బడి. adv. Along with, వెంబడి. 'అఖిలజనంబులనుంబడి చేసికొని వెడలియతండు యమ్మోహరంబుదీర్చునెడ.' M. vi. ii. 348. అందరినిన్ని వెంటబెట్టుకొని. Like, as, conformably to, according to. దీని బడిచేయించుము make it like this one. బడికోడి or కోడిబడి boḍi-kōḍi. n. A barn door fowl. A large fowl. బడి baḍi. An affix forming nouns. Thus దారిబడి along the road. తీరుబడి leisure. తగులుబడి expense. పెట్టుబడి money advanced or laid out. వచ్చుబడి income. ఏలుబడి a reign. So many times as much, గుణార్థము. ఇబ్బడి as much again, twice as much. మబ్బడి thrice as much. బడిబడి baḍi-baḍi. adv. Repeatedly, one after another. మాటిమాటికి. 'ప్రమదంబున బంధుజనులు బడిబడిరాగన్.' Sunanda. v. 155. బడివారడి baḍi-vāraḍi. n. Apportionment, allotment, lot. The share of revenue levied on each farmer. ప్రతిమనుష్యునకు వేసెడు పన్ను.

(p. 959) markaṭamu or మర్కటకము markaṭamu. [Skt.] n. A monkey, కోతి. A spider. సాలె పురుగు. A. i. 45. మర్కట కిశోరన్యాయము, 'like the monkey and its cub,' i.e., the weaker adheres to the stronger by instinct, కోతిపిల్ల కోతిని తానుగా పో యి కరుచుకోవడము. అనగా శిష్యుడుగాపోయి గురువును ఆశ్రయించడము. మర్జాల కిశోరన్యాయము like the cat and kitten, i.e., పిల్లి తన పిల్లను కరుచుకొని తీసుకొని పోవడము, that is, the instinct which leads the stronger to protect or carry the weaker, గురువు తానై అభిమానించి శిష్యునిని ఏలుకోవడము. The latter instance is used to illustrate the free grace of God: and the former is of man seeking divine aid.

(p. 1072) rājyamu rājyamu. [Skt.] n. Rule, government. Administration of government, sovereignty. దొరతనము, ఏలుబడి, ప్రభుత్వము. A kingdom, principality, country, ఒక రాజు ఏలే దేశము. అతడు రాజ్యము చేయుచుండగా while he reigned. మారాజ్యమునకు వెళ్లుచున్నాను I am going to my own country. ఇది అడవి రాజ్యము this is a forest country or land. రాజ్యభ్రష్టులై being expelled from the kingdom.

(p. 1073) rāzu rāḍzu. [from Skt. రాజన్.] n. A king, prince, ruler. A lord, baron, earl, count, nobleman, ప్రభువు, ఏలువాడు, క్షత్రియుడు, క్షత్రియకులశ్రేష్ఠుడు. The moon, చంద్రుడు. రాజువారిసీమ Government land, సర్కారు భూమి. రారాజు or రారేడు rā-rāḍzu. n. A king of kings. రాజులకు రాజు. An epithet of Kubēra and Duryōdhana, కుబేరుడు, దుర్యోధనుడు.

(p. 1241) śakamu ṣakamu. [Skt.] n. An epoch or era, particularly the era named after శాలివాహనుడు. A reign, the period of a king's rule. ఒకని పరిపాలనతో చేరిన సంవత్సరము, సంవత్సర సంఖ్యావిశేషము. ఏలుబడి. వానిశకము ముగిసినది his reign is past, his days are ended. శకాబ్దము ṣak-ābdamu. n. A year of an era. ఒక శకములోని సంవత్సరము.

(p. 1250) śāsanamu ṣāsanamu. [Skt.] n. A command or order, ఆజ్ఞ. Punishment. శిక్షించుట. శిక్ష. An edict, act or command, a charter or royal grant of land, or of villages, &c., usually inscribed on stone or copper. A writing; an inscription, a deed, a contract. Government rule. భూమ్యాదిదానార్థలేఖ్యము రాజు తాను దానము చేసిన భూమ్యాదులకై వ్రాసియిచ్చిన కాలు, అధికారము, రాజ్యపాలనము. Science, శాస్త్రము. శిలాశాసనము a charter inscribed on stone. తామ్రశాసనము a grant or charter inscribed on a copper plate. మరణశాసనము a will. దానశాసనము a deed of gift.
