(p. 54) anukūlamu anu-kūlamu. [Skt.] adj. Favourable, friendly, assisting, salubrious. హీతమైన, సహాయమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, శ్రేయస్కరమైన. అనుకూలమైన గాలి a favourable wind. వాని శరీరమునకు అనుకూలమైన స్థలము the place which agrees with him. అనుకూలమైనమాట a friendly word. అనుకూలశత్రువు a friendly enemy అనుకూల కాలము a suitable time. అనుకూలము or అనుకూలత n. Favour, goodness, kindness, aid. సహాయము, మేలు, దయ. దయ ద్రవ్యానుకూలము means, resource. దైవానుకూలము వల్ల by the grace of God. అనుకూలించు, అనుకూలపడు or అనుకూలమగు anukūlinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be of use ఒదవు. To have effect, to have a good result. సఫలమగు, ఒనగూడు. అనుకూలము కాలేదు it failed, it had not the desired effect. నాకు ఇంకా రూకలు అనుకూల పడలేదు I have not yet obtained the money ఈ పని నీకు అనుకూలమగును you will succeed in this business. అనుకూలము చేయు or అనుకూలవరచు anukūlamuchēyu. v. a. To shew favour, to bring a thing about, to countenance. సహాయము చేయు, నెరవేర్చు. కార్యమును అనుకూలము చేసికొన్నారు they brought it about, brought it to a conclusion. అనుకూలుడు anukūluḍu. n. A friend, ally, patron. హితుడు, సహాయుడు, ఉపకారి. వాడు నాకు అనుకూలుడు he is well disposed towards me.

(p. 211) onagūḍu ona-gūḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be obtained; to succeed or attain. To be, happen, chance. To prosper. చేకూరు, సిద్ధించు. ఇతనికి ఆమె ఒనగూడినది she is well suited to him. ఒనగూర్చు ona-gūrṭsu. v. n. To effect, attain to, accomplish. To bestow, grant, accede to. సిద్ధించునట్లు చేయు.

(p. 502) taṭasthamu taṭa-sthamu. [Skt.] adj. Present, near, at hand, proximate, approaching, next, impending, imminent. సమీపమందున్న, ఒనగూడిన. Temporary, occasional, for the time being. తటస్థమగు or తటస్థించు taṭastha-m-agu. v. n. To approach, draw near, or be at hand. to occur, happen, turn up. ఒనగూడు. చేటు తటస్థించియున్నవాడు one who is on the brink of ruin. తటస్థుడు taṭasthuḍu. n. An onlooker, A bystander, a spectator; one who is indifferent or impartial; a just person న్యాయస్థుడు. వాడు మిక్కిలి తటస్థుడు he is very just.

(p. 815) posagu posagu. [Tel.] v. n. To agree, fit, suit, be consistent with. To happen, take place, occur, befal. ఒనగూడు, ఒప్పు, పొందుపడు, చక్కబడు, ఇముడు, సరిపడు, అనుకూలించు. To be got, obtained. సంభవించు, దొరకు, లభించు. వీరికి వారికి పొసగదు they do not agree, they are on bad terms. వానికేమి పొసగినది what happened to him? ఈ కర్మము నీకెట్లు పొసగినది how did you get into this trouble? 'భోజనవేళల పొసగునే మాట,' Pal. 44. 'పరసమినుము సోకిబంగారమైనట్లు, కప్పురంబుజ్యోతిగలసినట్లు, పుష్పమందుతావి పొస గినట్లగుముక్తి.' Vēma. i. 81. పొసగ posaga. adv. Duty, fitly. 'చంపదగిన యట్టి శత్రుడుతనచేత, జిక్కెనేనికీడుసేయ రాదు, పొసగమేలుచేసి పొమ్మనుటేచావు.' Vēma. i. 23. పొసగించు posaginṭsu. v. a. To cause to agree or fit. To bring to terms, to persuade. పొసగుడు posagudu. n. Convenience, aid, help, అనుకూల్యము. Happening, ప్రాప్తమగుట.
