(p. 203) aidu aidu. [Tel. for అయిదు] adj. Five. ఐదుగురు for అయిదుగురు five persons అయిదుమంది. అయిదు పది చేయు to salute, to bow to. నమస్కరించు. To be defeated, to lose ఓడిపోవు (ఓడిపోవువారు చేతులుకూర్చి మొక్కుదురు గనుక దీనికి ఓడిపోవుట అని అర్ధము వచ్చినది) 'సుస్థిరభుజశక్తి నైదుపది చేయరు దత్తిసెతక్క' ఆము. ii. To throw into confusion, leave a thing at sixes and sevens. ముందరడుగు వెనుకపెట్టు.

(p. 217) ōṭu oṭu. [Tel.] n. Loss, defeat. అపజయము, భంగము. ఓటుపోవు or ఓటుపడు ōṭu-pōvu. v. i. To be defeated. ఓటుపాటు ōṭu-pātu. n. Defeat ఓడింపబడుట, ఓడిపోవుట.

(p. 426) ceṅgu chengu. [Tel.] v. n. To be loosened (as a knot) వీడిపోవు, తొలగు. To with draw, to retreat వెనుదీయు. To lose or fail in a game ఓడిపోవు. చెంగి ఆడు to talk indifferently. అక్కరపట్టనట్టుగా మాట్లాడు. చెంగిచెంగిపోవు to loiter in walking. కాయచెంగినది (at games with small balls) the ball stopped, or missed. రెండుగుంటలు చెంగినవి there are two holes without balls. చెంగగొట్టు to defeat ఓడించు.

(p. 494) ḍindu ḍindu. [Tel.] v. n. To sink అడగు, క్రుంగు. To dry up ఇంకు. To be defeated, ruined, quenched, extinguished. ఓడిపోవు. To expire. v. a. To kill, to ruin. n. Defeat, extinguishment, ruin. అధఃకరణము, హీనత్వము, నాశము. adj. Defeated, worsted, ruined, less, inferior. డిందుపడు ḍindu-paḍu. v. n. To be calmed, or settled. నెమ్మదిపడు.
