(p. 106) ākatrāḍu āka-trāḍu. [Tel.] n. The string used to tie the churning rod to a post. కవ్వమును తగిలించుటకై తరికంబమునందు కట్టెడు త్రాడు.

(p. 696) paṭṭamu paṭṭamu. [Skt.] n. A gold band or fillet tied on the forehead of one at the time of his coronation as king, పట్టాభిషేక కాలమున నొసటకట్టెడుపట్టె. A diadem. Silk thread, పట్టుమాలు. The bark of a tree, చెట్టుమీదిపట్ట. A grant or lease granted by asking to the ryots, రాజు రైతులకిచ్చు పట్టా. A title, బిరుదు. A grade or step in genealogy. A kingdom, రాజ్యము. అతనికి ప్రతాప సింహుడనే పట్టము నిచ్చినారు they gave him the title of Pratāpa Simha. ఆ పట్టాధికారి చనిపోయినాడు the head of the state died. అతనికి పట్టముకట్టిరి they crowned him. పట్టపుదేవి a queen. పట్టపు ఏనుగు or పట్టపుటేనుగు a royal elephant, a state elephant. రాజెక్కు ఏనుగు, భద్రగజము. పట్టపుకత్తి a state sword. పట్టమేలుట to reign. పట్టాభిషేకము paṭṭ-ābhishēkamu. n. Coronation, installation. పట్టాభిషిక్తుడు he who is crowned. పట్టాభిషేకము చేయు to crown one king. పట్టభద్రుడు paṭṭa-bhadruḍu. n. A chief, leader.

(p. 879) bāri bāri. [Tel.] n. Annoyance, trouble. ఉపద్రవము, తొందర, వ్యధ, హింస, నిర్బంధము. The slope at the side of a great well for bullocks to run down in drawing up water, by a rope running over a pulley. కపిలెయెద్దులకు నిర్బంధముగా నేర్పరిచినదారి. An elephant's tether. ఏనుగుకాలు కట్టెడు గొలుసు. బారివిడుచు to gallop, పరుగెత్తించు. బారిగొర్రె a sheep let go at a feast to be run for, as a victim or prize. 'గోముననిన్నాళ్లుకొడుకనిన్ బ్రోచి, గోమలికినిబారిగొరియగానొసగ, వలసెబోమల్లెపూవంటిరుమాలు, దొంగింపవెండ్రుకల్ తూగిచిందాడ, నించువిల్తునిబారినీగగానేల.' Sār. D. v. 295. why sacrifice yourself to love? మన్మథుని బారిపడినాడు he fell a victim to love. పులిబారికి ప్పినలేడికైవడిన్ like a fawn escaping from a tiger. బారి or భారి bāri. adj. Great, large, big. బారివాండ్లు well to do people, rich folks.

(p. 879) bārī or బారి bārī. [Tel.] n. An elephant's tether, ఏనుగు కాలుకు కట్టెడుగొలుసు.

(p. 1111) loḍuku or లొడుగు loduku. [Tel.] adj. Lean, fallen in, miserable. దిక్కుమాలిన. బడుగుద్విజులకూడి లొడుగుమంత్రముజదివి వడుగుజేసెదమని వదరుకొండ్రు కడుగుద్రావుకాకి కావుమన్నట్లయా.' Vema. 886. n. A kind of bell tied to the neck of a cow, ఆవుమెడను కట్టెడు ఘంటావిశేషము.
