A kind of puzzle, riddle or question which contains the solution or answer in itself. విడికథవలె అతికఠినమైన ప్రశ్నలు ఉత్తరములుగా మండేటిది. e.g. క' శ్రీకాంతునిదినమెన్నఁడు రాకొమరునికెద్ది ప్రియము రథతిథియెన్నం డేకొలదినన్నమరుంగును ఏకాదశినాఁడు సప్తమేడేగడియల్. Stubborness, unfeeling conduct. గడుసుపడు gaḍusu-paḍu. v. n. To become bold. ధీరుడగు.

(p. 364) gāmiḍi gāmiḍi. [Tel.] adj. Cruel, hard. కఠినమైన, క్రూరమైన, కట్టిడి. Excellent శ్రేష్ఠమైన, 'గామిడిగొల్లయీ కాననంబునను మాకు నీడై యున్న యీ కొమ్మెకాని చేకొని నరకంగ జెట్టులులేవ.' BD. iii. 562.

(p. 387) goṭṭu goṭṭu. [Tel.] n. Wickedness. దౌష్ట్యము. Obstinacy మూర్ఖత. గొట్టునపట్టనీక pertinaciously eluding him, freakishly avoiding him. An enemy. విరోధి. A wretch, a creature (in a derogatory sense) as దెబిరిగొట్టు, వాపిగొట్టు, తంత్రగొట్టు a proud wretch, a fool. adj. Hard, difficult, stubborn. కఠినము. Wicked దుష్టము. గొట్టుమాట a hard or difficult word.

(p. 897) beṭṭidamu beṭṭidamu. [Tel. బెట్టు + ఇదము.] n. Arrogance. ఉద్ధతి. Harshness, cruelty, క్రౌర్యము. Hard, గట్టి, దృఢము. బెట్టదముగా beṭṭ-idamu-gā. adv. Violently, severely. బెట్టిదుడు beṭṭiduḍu. n. A proud or cruel man, ఉద్ధతుడు, క్రూరుడు. A hard man, కఠినుడు. బెట్టిదురాలు beṭṭidu-r-ālu. n. A proud, cruel or hard woman.

(p. 898) beḍidamu or బేడిదము beḍidamu. [from Skt. భేదితము.] n. Horror, terror, dread, భయంకరత్వము. Cruelty, కఠినత్వము. Evil, కీడు, చెరుపు 'తాను నేననియెడు తప్పులోబెడిదంబు, మానికడు వివేకమహిమదనరి, యూరకున్నవాడు నుత్తమోత్తముడురా.' Vēma. 1027. adj. Horrible, dreadful, terrible. భయంకరమైన, ఘోరమైన. Great. అధికమైన. Hard, కఠినమైన. 'తాకి నరాఘవుండు బెడిదంబగునమ్ములవెల్లిదెల్పనక్కాకు నోర్చివాడు.' Padma. viii. 162. బెడిదముగ beḍidamu-ga. adv. Horribly, dreadfully, terribly. ఘోరముగా. బెడిదుడు beḍi-duḍu. n. A fearful or cruel man. భయంకరుడు, కఠినుడు, బెడిదురాలు bedidu-rālu. n. A fearful or cruel woman.

(p. 945) maḍugu, maḍuvu, maḍgu or మడ్వు maḍugu. [Tel.] v. n. To be kept down, అడగు. To be bent, వంగు, n. A proportion, ratio, గుణము. దీనికంటె అది యెన్ని మడుగులు హెచ్చు how many times is it larger than this? A basin, pond, lake, a deep or hollow place, a hole or pool in the bed of a river or tank. నదీమధ్యమందున్నహ్రదము, కొలను. A clean cloth. ధౌతవస్త్రము. Purity, శుచి, పరిశుద్ధి. A weight of eight viss, మణుగు. Humility, submissiveness, suppression of the desires, moderation. అడకువ, ఉపశాంతి. A fold of a leaf, ఆకుమడుపు. adj. Pure, పరిశుద్ధము. 'నిండారకమ్మదేనియ మజ్జనంబాడె, కడమపుప్పొడివన్నె మడుగుకట్టె.' P. iv. 243. అక్కడ నెత్తురు మడుగు కట్టియుండినది the blood was standing in pools. మడుచు maḍuṭsu. v. a. To fold, plait, bend, crease, clasp. To shut, or close (as a book.) మడుగజేయు. See మడగు. కాలు మడుచు lit. to sit down to pass water. మడుపు maḍupu. n. A fold or plait, మడత. A fold of betel leaf, ఆకుచుట్ట. Clean linen fresh from washing, మడుగువస్త్రము. 'మఠమునకేతెంచి మడుపులన్నియును కఠినముల్ గాకుండ ఘట్టించిమడువ.' BD. iv. 35. మడుపుకత్తి maḍupu-katti. n. A folding or clasp knife.

(p. 1017) mūrti mūrti. [Skt.] n. The body, శరీరము. A figure, form, body in general, or any definite shape, or image. ప్రతిమ. Matter, substance, a divine hypostasis or person. త్రిమూర్తులు the Hindu Triad, i.e., Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva. కృష్ణముర్తి the god Krishna, or an image of Krishna. అతడు న్యాయముర్తి he is justice in human form. వాడు భీకరమూర్తి he is an absolute fright or horrible figure. వాడు సౌందర్య మూర్తియైయుండెను he was beauty personified. వాడు పాపమూర్తి he was all sin. మూర్తివంతుడు mūrti-mantuḍu. n. One who has bodily form. శరీరి. మూర్తిమత్ mūrti-mat. adj. Material, corporeal, substantial, soild, having shape. మూర్తీకరించు mūrti-karinṭsu. v. n. To assume a visible form, శరీరియగు. మూర్తము mūrtamu. adj. Solid, material, endowed with form or shape. స్వరూపముగల, కఠినమైన.
