(ఉక్కు+అరు) v. n. To ebb (as strength), to be exhausted, to faint. To lose one's vigour. ఉక్కుచెడు. To die. చచ్చు. ఉక్కరి having lost vigor. సామర్థ్యము లేకపోయి. ఉక్కుమడగు ukku-maḍagu. v. i. To lose vigor. To die. ఉక్కమడచు to kill.

(p. 352) gaḍucu or కడచు gaḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To pass or elapse, as time. v. a. To pass over, to transgress, to exceed or surpass. To expire. ఇది లేకుండ నాకు గడవదు I cannot get on without this. గడిచిబ్రతికినవారు the survivors. ఇక్కడ గడవనందున దేశాంతరమునకు వెళ్లినాను as I could not get on here I went elsewhere. గడపుకొను or గడుపుకొను gaḍapu-konu. v. a. To manage, transact, effect. గడిపించు (Causal of గడచు.) gaḍi-pinṭsu. v. a. To pass. కాలము ఇట్లు గడిపించి passing the time thus. గడుపు gaḍupu. v. a. To pass (time). To put off or defer, to finish. To cause to pass over. To forward, push on, drive on, urge on. To get over, get through (trouble).

(p. 354) gatamu gatamu. [Skt.] adj. Lost, gone, past, over, late. పోయిన, గతదినము the last day. గతఫలము loss of advantage. గతజీవితులయి who had lost their lives. గతకాలము the past time. గతకులము a family which is extinct. గతజలసేతుబంధనము banks for a stream that has run dry, a proverb for pains taken too late (shutting the stable door after the horse is stolen.) గతాహంకారులై he who has lost his wits. గతాహంకారులై they being stripped of their pride. గతము n. Passing away. పోక. గతపడు. gata-paḍu. v. n. To pass away. కడచు. To die చచ్చు గతపడ్డ dead. గతవడగ్రస్తవద్యము or ముక్తవదగ్రస్తవద్యము gata-pada-grasta-padyamu. n. A poetical conceit, Capped lines wherein the last word of each line is repeated at the beginning of the next.

(p. 355) gati gati. [Skt.] n. Way. త్రోవ. Going, gait, pace, march, passage. గమనము. Means, resource, fund, contrivance, expedient, remedy. ఉపాయము. Refuge, resort, help, aid. దిక్కు. Fate, lot, destiny, state, hap, condition, situation. విధి. An adventure. (In the Līla, the different cantos are called గతులు.) Salvation, rescue రక్షణము. Ability, power శక్తి. నాగతి యేమి what is to become of me? ఇందుకు వేరేగతి ఉన్నది for this there is another remedy. దైవగతి divine providence. గతిలేని helpless, destitute, abject. వానికి దానిని చెల్లించుటకు గతిలేదు he is unable to pay it, he is without means of payment. పుత్రుడులేనివారికి గతిలేదు the childless have no hope (or prospect) of heaven. పటుగతి strongly దిట్టముగా. గతించు gatinṭsu. v. n. To pass away, elapse, కడచు. To die. చచ్చు. గతికల్పించు to devise an expedient. గతికుడు gatikuḍu. n. He who has a resource. అనన్యగతికుడై having no other resource. గతుడు gatuḍu. n. One who is gone or entered. ఆనందాబ్ధిగతుండనై I plunged in a sea of bliss. గత్యంతరము gat-y-antaramu. n. An alternative: an other means, or resource.

(p. 439) cakkaḍacu or చక్కడుచు ṭsakk-aḍaṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To quell అణిచివేయు; to out rival: to cut to pieces ఖండించు. To kill చంపు.

(p. 441) canu ṭsanu. [Tel.] v. n. To go, depart, పోవు; to pass కడచు. To be deserving, to be proper, right, fit. చెల్లు, తగు. చూడచనదు it is not fit to be seen. v. a. To get, to have పొందు. చన్నంతదవ్వు. (BD. i. 869.) as far as he went. చనునే is it right? 'క' అనుటయు బ్రవరుం డిట్లను వనజేక్షణ యిట్లు పలుక వరుసయె వ్రతులై దినములు గడపెడు విప్రుల జనునే కామింప మది విచారము వలదే.' Manu. ii. 56.

To suffice, to be valid. To belong to, to pertain to, to be appropriate, suit, correspond to, తగు, శక్యమగు. To happen, to be accomplished కొనసాగు. Authority అధికారము. చెల్లించు chellinṭsu. v. a. To pass (time, life, a rule, &c.), to pay, liquidate, to fulfil. To apply or put to a right use. చెల్లు chellu. n.
