(p. 249) karagu or కరుగు karagu. [Tel.] v. n. To melt. ద్రవించు. To waste away, to be emaciated. కృశించు. To dissolve away. To be cut, as a bank by the stream. To go down or go off, as a boil. 'కరగ కరగ పుట్టు కనకంబునకు వన్నె.' (Vēma.) the oftener gold is melted the finer it becomes. అందుకు వాని మనస్సు కరిగినది at this his heart melted. కరగు, కరుగు, కరగించు, or కరిగించు v. a. To melt. కరగు n. Melting కరగుట.

(p. 273) kāmi kāmi. [Tel. neg. noun from అవు.] n. The not being. That which is not or nil. కొరగాములు evil doings, naughty pranks. 'ఇంక నెన్నండు నిట్టి కొరగాములు సేయక బుద్ధిమంతుడవై యుండిమనిన నతండు లజ్జావనతవదనుండగుచు నచ్చోటువాసి గంగాద్వారంబున కరిగియందు' M. III. vi. 'క 'ఏనట్లు చూచి చెప్పితిగాని యది రణంబుపాటిగామి యెరుగుదున్' M. IX. ii. 114.

(p. 360) garbhamu garbhamu. [Skt.] n. The belly, the stomach, the womb. కడుపు. The inside of any thing, the interior; the middle. A fœtus కడుపులోని పిండము. నదీగర్భము the middle of a river. గర్భగృహము the nave, sanctuary, or shrine of a temple. గర్భముతోనున్న pregnant. గర్భముధరించు to conceive or become pregnant. ఆమె గర్భము కరిగిపోయింది she miscarried. ఆమెకు గర్భము నిలిచినది she has not miscarried. గర్భకలమము a swelling ear of corn. వరి పొట్టకరుకు. Vasu. ii. 101. గర్భాగారము a closet or recess. An inner chamber. లోపలిగది. ఏకగర్భజనితులయిన of full blood children of the same womb. గర్భవాసిగా నుండే yet in the womb, unborn. గర్భశత్రువు a secret enemy. గర్భాధానము the nuptial ceremony. గర్భాశయము the womb, the uterus. గర్భాష్టకము the eighth month of uterine gestation. The eighth year reckoning from conception. గర్భిణి garbhiṇi. n. A pregnant woman: చూలాలు.

(p. 1122) vaṭāramu or వటారు vaṭāramu. [Tel.] n. A lodge. బస. A palace, వగరు. 'ద్వి దరహాసమిగురొత్తదనవటారమున, కరిగిమంత్రులు మొదలగువారిననిపి.' Navanandha. 306.

(p. 1200) vīḍu vīḍu. [Tel.] n. A city, పట్టణము. A remuneration, a complimentary, present. పారితోషికము, కట్నము. An army, దండు. A military camp, శిబిరము. A crowd of travellers, పథికుల సమూహము. A camp or troop of rope-dancers. దొమ్మరవాండ్రతండా, 'యదువిదర్భాన్వవాయ విధేయబంధువర్యులువీడు చదివించిరుచితవృత్తి.' Chandra Bhanu Charitra. v. 152. 'ఉపకారికినుపకారము విపరీతముకాదు సుమ్మువీడుకువీడే, యుపకారికి నుపకారము నెపమెన్నకచేయువాడు.' Sumati. 19. 'చారుడొకడరుదెంచి జోహారుచేసి, నేటిప్రొద్దున దొమ్మరవీటితోడకాశికాపురికరుగంగగాంచినాడ.' Chenna Basa. Pur. ii. 349. వీడుపట్టు or వీడిపట్టు vīḍu-paṭṭu. n. A camp, శిబిరము, దండుదిగినచోటు. An abode, వాసస్థానము. A temporary abode, విడిది. 'పనివారినందరింబరగ నుచితంపు పలుకులనొడబడ బరచివీడ్కోల్పి, వీడుపట్టుకుపోయి విశ్రాంతుడగుచు.' Pal. 45. 'అమ్మహీవరునాదరంబు వడసి వీడుపట్టునకరిగిన.' M. XII. ii. 374.
