(p. 170) ulucu uluṭsu. [Tel. casual of ఉలుకు.] v. a. To brandish, wave, whisk, shake వాలంబునులిచె brandished the tail. Also, to pull off. ఊడదీయు. 'సత్కవులత్రుప్పుడుల్చు వసంత వేళ.' జై. i.

(p. 263) kavulu or కౌలు kavulu. [Tel.] n. A written agreement given to the ryot by the landlord regarding the land he takes up to cultivate. మక్తాకవులు an agreement under which land is held at an annual quit-rent for a stipulated period.

(p. 332) kaulu or కవులు kaulu. [H.] n. A writing of assurance, agreement or engagement granted to the cultivator of the soil. A safe guard or warrant to pass (as granted to an enemy.)

(p. 696) paṭṭā, paṭā or పట్ట paṭṭā. [Tel.] n. The inner bark of a tree. Sackcloth. A sort of girdle cloth. Also, a lease; a grant or lease specifying the land occupied by a cultivator and the assessment due on it. రాజు రయితులకిచ్చే కవులు. పట్టాదారుడు a pattadar, a leaseholder. బిల్మక్తాపట్టా a lease for a gross aggregate rent, one in which the land tax and all other cesses are consolidated. See పట్ట, and పట్టము.

(p. 774) pulu or పుల్లు pulu. [Tel. cf. Tam. పుల్.] n. Grass. కసవు. Also, foulness in gems, రత్నాదులమాలిన్యము. పుల్ గృహము a grass house. A. iv. 167. కనకవులు golden grass. adj. Little, mean. పులుమానిసి a little or low man. పులుమ్రాను pulu-mrānu. n. A tree which belongs to the family of the Palms. తాటిచెట్టు మొదలైన తృణద్రుమము. పులుకాసిపురుగు pulu-kāsi-purugu. n. An insect with green wings, పచ్చరెక్కపురుగు. A low person, అల్పుడు. హరిశ్చ. ii. పులుకాసిపులుగు pulu-kāsi-pulugu. n. A parrot. 'తే ఇన్ని దేవుళ్లగొలిచి నేనేమిగంటి, పోయిపచ్చనిపులుకాసి పులుగుచేత, మోసపోయి తినని కందుమొనయుఖేద, మారటమొనర్ప విసి వియయ్యూరిబసివి.' S. iii. 53.

(p. 834) prabbu prabbu. [Tel.] v. n. To spread, వ్యాపించు. To happen, occur, కలుగు, వర్తిల్లు. To flourish or thrive. పెరుగు, హెచ్చు, విజృంభించు, అతిశయించు, వర్ధిల్లు. 'క ప్రబ్బిన భక్తినిహరిపై, కబ్బంబులు చెప్పి కవులు కైవల్యశ్రీ, కబ్బుదురట.' Bhag. X. 67. v. a. To lengthen a statement, or spin out a story. పెంచు. To blame, నిందించు. To unite, join, కలయు. n. Blame, నింద. ప్రబ్బికోలు prabbi-kōlu. n. Spreading, &c. ప్రబ్బికొనుట.
