Lamp-black, collyrium, eyesalve, the magic ointment used for the purpose of discovering anything that is concealed. కాటుక. అంజనకాడు a conjurer, he who finds that which is concealed by putting this ointment on his hand or on his eyelashes. అంజనమువేసి చూచు to search for hidden things.

(p. 120) ārakāṭi ārakāṭi. [Tel.] n. A boatman, a sailor. ఓడనడపువాడు, నావికుడు.

A narrow place. ఇరుకుచోటు. ఇరుకుమాను iruku mānu. n. Posts set in a gate-way (i.e., పంగలకర్ర). to exclude cattle but admit men; a turnpike. ఇరికించు or ఇరికించుకొను irikinṭsu. v. a. To insert, poke in, stick in. ఇరికికొను or ఇరుక్కొను iriki-konu. v. n. To get in; stick, be caught, be inserted, be entangled.

(p. 245) kappu kappu. [Tel.] n. A covering, a cover; the outside of anything: the husk of grain. The exterior surface or coat. Thatch, roof. Colour, as being a cover. Darkness. Blackness: also the dark colour applied to the teeth by some natives. ఇంటికప్పు or పైకప్పు the thatch. మేలుకప్పు a cover. adj. Black, dark, deep (as colour) కప్పుచామన dark red. కప్పు కుత్తుక పులుగు a peacock, as its neck is black. కప్పుతెరువరి fire. కప్పుపచ్చ sap green. కప్పురాయి a sapphire నీలము. కప్పుమల the 'black hill.' కాటుకకొండ. కప్పుమేనిగాము the planet Saturn.
