(p. 10) antaratāmara antara-tāmara. [Tel.] n. A water plant, without any root to the ground, swimming upon the surface of the lakes, &c. Pistia stratiotes. Menyanthes cristata (Roxb). ఆకాశతామర. అంతరతామర also means the itch. గజ్జి.

(p. 12) antarlāpi antarlāpi. [Skt.] n. A kind of puzzle, riddle or question which contains the solution or answer in itself. విడికథవలె అతికఠినమైన ప్రశ్నలు ఉత్తరములుగా మండేటిది. e.g. క' శ్రీకాంతునిదినమెన్నఁడు రాకొమరునికెద్ది ప్రియము రథతిథియెన్నం డేకొలదినన్నమరుంగును ఏకాదశినాఁడు సప్తమేడేగడియల్. ' శ్లో' కాశంభుకాంతాకిముచంద్రకాంతం, కాంతాముఖంకింకురుతేభుజంగః, కశ్శ్రీపతిఃకావిషమాసమస్యా, గౌరీముఖంచుంబతివాసుదేవః. '

(p. 16) ambaramu ambaramu. [Skt.] n. The sky. Cloth woven of cotton. Clothing, apparel. Ambergris. ఆకాశము, వసనము, వస్త్రము, పరిమళద్రవ్యము. See అంబరు. అంబరమణి the gem of heaven, i. e., the sun. అంబరచరుడు one who dwells in the sky. అంబరాంబరుడు n. Sky-cinctured, that is, (dik-ambara) 'naked,' an epithet of Siva. శివుడు.

(p. 18) akaru or అకరువు akaru. [Tel.] n. The stamens of a lotus. తామరదుద్దులోనగువాని చుట్టునుండునది; కింజల్కము. 'ఆకాశమండలంబును నల్లగలువకు నకరువాద్యుండులోలార్కమూర్తి.' కాశీ. i.

(p. 20) akkali akkali. [Tel.] n. A wave. అల, తరంగము. 'కడలిమొగయక్కలిందగులు పడినజోగునుంబలె.' కాశీ. 2. ఆ.

(p. 35) aḍaru aḍaru. [Tel.] v. n. To arise, to issue, to come. To arise, as fear. To be fit or proper: to shine. పుట్టు, కలుగు, జనించు, వచ్చు; భయపడు, ఒప్పు, అతిశయించు, వర్థిల్లు, ప్రకాశించు, వ్యాపించు. 'అడరునవీన భానుకిరణానలమంటి.' Swa. iii. 83. 'ఇంపడర బ్రోచుగదమ్మ.' H. i. 89.

(p. 42) attalamu or అత్తళము attalamu. [Tel.] n. A short spear, a lance with a three sided point. ఈటె, సేజా. 'తేజికాశ్వంబు మెలంపుచునింటును, పంట్రకోలల నడిదంబున నత్తలంబున నేనియు వ్రేసియునడిచియుం బొడిచియు.' Swa. iv. 167.

(p. 49) anantamu an-antamu: [Skt.] adj. Endless, eternal అంతములేని. అనంతము n. The sky. ఆకాశము. అనంతత endlessness; infinitude. అనంతరాశి ananta-rāṣi. [Skt.] An infinite quantity. అనంతవిజయము n. The name of the conch or shell of Dharmaraja. అనంతవ్రతము ananta-vratamu. [Skt.] A vow or festival observed in honor of Ananta. (Vishnu.) అనంతశక్తి anantaṣakti. [Skt.] n. Omnipotence, boundless strength or power. అనంతుడు an-antuḍu. [Skt.] n. The infinite being, an epithet of Vishnu. A name of the great dragon, the king of serpents విష్ణువు, ఆదిశేషుడు అనంతశయనుడు ananta-ṣayanuḍu. [Skt.] n. An epithet of Vishnu, (lit.) the god whose couch is the king of serpents. విష్ణువు. అనంత్యము an-antyamu. [Skt.] adv. Eternally for ever and ever.

(p. 66) aprakāśamugā a-prakāṣamu-gā. [Skt.] adv. in secret.

A woman. స్త్రీ. అలరువిల్తుడు alaru-viltuḍu. [Tel.] n. He who has a bow of flowers, Cupid. మన్మథుడు. అలరారు alarāru. [Tel. అలరు+ఆరు] v. n. To shine, glitter. To rejoice, or be pleased. ప్రకాశించు, ఉల్లసించు. 'మానసంబలరార.' N. i. 35.

(p. 90) alli alli. [Tel.] n. The water plant called Nymphœa alba. అల్లికాడ is peduncle or flower stalk. అల్లిపువ్వు the flower of this water plant. ఉత్పలభేదము. ఆకాశపు అల్లి Menyanthes cristata, a water plant. అల్లి Nymphœa Lotus, a variety with a red flower. Rox. ii. 260, says. 'అల్లి is Memecylon Edule: a wild shrub, like broom, with beautiful fragrant flowers in bunches.' దాని ఒళ్లు అల్లికాడవలెనున్నది her body is like the stem of a water lily, she is very chilly. అల్లిరాగులు the fruit of the blue lotus.
