(p. 3) aṅkiḷlu or అంకులు ankiḷḷu. [Tel. from అంగిలి+కీళ్లు] n. plu. The joints of the cheek bones; the maxillary joints. అతనికి అంకిళ్లు పడిపోయినవి he has lock-jaw.

(p. 221) augāmulu au-gāmulu. [Tel. అవును+కాములు the 'being and not being.'] n. The hitting or missing, the happening or failing. Prosperity and adversity కలిమిలేములు. Propriety and impropriety యుక్తాయుక్తతలు. Good and bad. మేలికీళ్లు. (Properly written అవుగాములు.)

(p. 285) kīḍu kīḍu. [Tel.] n. Evil, harm, misfortune, danger. అశుభము, ఆపద. Fault తప్పు, దోషము. Sin పాపము. (plu. కీళ్లు) adj. Bad, evil, base, low. అధమము. కీడుజాతులు low castes. Inauspicious అశుభకరము. Wicked దుష్టము. కీడుపడు, కీడ్పడు or కీడ్వడు kīḍu-paḍu. v. n. To be vanquished. తక్కువపడు. కీడుపరచు or కీడ్పరచు kīḍu-paraṭsu. v. a. To vanquish. 'పరయోధవరుల గీడ్పరచినసరణి.' Dab. P. 239. కీడుమేళ్లు kīḍu-mēḷḷu. Both good and bad: both sides of a question.

(p. 286) kīlu kīlu. [Tel.] n. A joint, a hinge. అదేమర. Pitch (or tar.) తారు. The point of a riddle మర్మము. Expedient ఉపాయము. చేతికీళ్లు the joints of the hand. ఓడకీలు (Vēma. 628.) Rosin and grease melted together to paint ships with. కీలుచాప a tarpaulin. కీలుగోపురము (Radha. ii. 149.) a castle or chamber that turns on a pivot. కీలు గరుత్మంతుడు an automaton eagle., కీలుకాడు an engineer, a mechanician or contriver సూత్రధారి. 'కీలుగాడెడలింప గెడసిన బొమ్మల కైనడి తురంగన్రజంబు' M. VII. iii. 72. కీలుకత్తి a folding knife or hasp-knife. కీలుకొను or కీలుపడు kīlu-konu. v. n. To be united, join, be composed. కూడుకొను, తగులు. To be fixed in నాటు. 'కెంపుచెక్కడంపుసని కీల్కొనుబంగరుపావలెక్కి' Radha. iii. 13. 'కేవల పాపకర్మములగీల్కొనియున్న నిశాటకోటికిన్.' V. P. ii. 304. కీలుకొలుపు or కీలుపరుచు kīlu-kolupu. v. a. To fasten, unite, to lay, put. కీలుగంటు kīlu-ganṭu. n. A knot or crest of hair. వెండ్రుకలదూముడి. కీల్౛డ kīl-zaḍa. n. A woman's plaited tress of hair.

(p. 627) nakku nakku. [Tel.] v. n. To prowl, crounch down. To peep. To conceal or hide oneself, ఒదుదు, దాగు. n. A joint, అతుకు. నక్కుదూలము a beam in which two pieces are joined together. A lump or ingot of gold, iron or any other metal. A notch, నొక్కు. Reeded or ribbed work in carpentry or in silver. బంగారపు బిళ్ల. 'చొక్కపు పసిం. నక్కుల జెక్కుజెక్కు.' R. iv. 63. 'వెయ్యేసిమాడలయెత్తుగాగూడ ఖండించియున్న జంగమకోటి కొక్కొక్కనక్కు చెన్నుగా సమర్పణ చేసి మ్రొక్కుడును.' BD. v. 611. ఈ ఒడ్డాణమునకు నక్కులుకొట్టించు double up part of this belt, to make it shorter. See నక్క. నక్కేరు nakkēru. (నక్క+ఏరు.) n. A sort of plant, the roots of which are used in some medicines. Cordia myna. నక్కిళ్లు nakkiḷlu. (నక్కు+కీళ్లు.) n. The joints of the jaws. The jaw bones. పక్క పండ్లకీళ్లు. నక్కిళ్లుపడ్డవాడు one who has lockjaw.

(p. 962) malugu malugu. [Tel.] v. n. To be extinguished, go out. ఆరిపోవు. To perish, నశించు. మలుపు malupu. v. a. To extinguish or put out a lamp. ఆర్చు. To turn. త్రిప్పు. To destroy, నశింపజేయు. n. A turning. తిరుగుడు. మూలమలుపున in turning a corner. మలుచు or మల్చు maluṭsu. v. a. To winnow grain in order to remove stones and grits from it. బియ్యములోనగువానిని రాళ్లుపోవుటకు చెరుగు. To turn in a lathe, తరిమెనబెట్టు. To cut stone with a chisel, to engrave a stone, రాతినితొలచు. See మలగు. మలుగు or మలుగులు malugu. n. The small of the back above the loins, the sides of the loins. కటియొక్క కీళ్లు. మక్క. వెనుకమలుగు the back of the hip, తుంటి. మలుగు or మలుగుపాము malugu. An eel. పాపమీను.

(p. 1290) saḍugulu saḍugulu. [Tel.] n. plu. The joints of the hip. కటిప్రదేశమునందలి కీళ్లు. Crooked or cunning words, వంకరమాటలు.

(p. 1320) sāgu or చాగు sāgu. [Tel.] v. n. To go on, proceed, get on, advance, continue, be current, be usual. To lengthen, to extend, as hot iron under the hammer. To take effect. To begin, నడుచు, జరుగు, దీర్ఘమగు, నిడుపగు, ఆరంభించు. n. A spit or iron lance, a short arrow thrown from the hand, అడుగున త్రాడుకట్టినకటారి, అలుగు వంటి ఆయుధవిశేషము. Cultivation, tillage. కృషి, వ్యవసాయము. దండుసాగుచుండగా when the army was marching. పని సాగలేదు the business does not go on or proceed. అతని మాట సాగలేదు his word did not take effect. కమ్మిపాగలేదు the wire could not be drawn out or lengthened. ఆ ఉత్సవము సాగుచున్నదా is the feast still kept up? దానికోరిక కొనసాగినది her wish is fulfilled. చెప్పసాగినది she went on to say. ఇది లేకుండా నాకు సాగదు I cannot get on without this. అక్కడ సాగకవస్తిని as I could not subsist there I came away. సాగుపాటు sāgu-pāṭu. n. Means of getting on, livelihood. జరుగుపాటు. సాగుబడి sāgu-baḍi. n. Cultivation. వ్యవసాయము. plu. సాగుబళ్లు. సాగగొట్టు sāga-goṭṭu. v. a. To hammer, out, extend or draw out (by heating a rod of iron, gold, etc.) పొడుగగునట్లుగా కొట్టు, సాగదీయు sāga-dīyu. v. a. To extend, stretch out, draw out, lengthen, పొడుగగునట్టుగా లాగు. To importune, మిక్కిలి ప్రార్థించు, బతిమాలుకొను. వాణ్ని ఎంత సాగదీసినా పోనన్నాడు however much I urged him he said he would not go. సాగనంపు sāga-n-ampu. v. a. To send away, to send one on, to set a traveller on his way, to convey or accompany one for a little distance. జపించు. సాగబడు or సాగిలబడు sāga-baḍu. v. n. To fall down at full length, flat or prostrate. సాష్టాంగపడు. 'సాగబడి మ్రొక్కిన శౌరికృ పార్ద్రచిత్తుడై.' Parij. v. 48. సాగించు sāginṭsu. v. a. To conduct, carry on (a business.) To celebrate (a feast.) జరుపు. కీళ్లుసాగించినారు they performed the swinging feast.
