A heap of boiled rice, prepared in the name of a goddess at her festival. కుంభవర్షము కురిసినది the rain poured down in torrents. కుచకుంభములు large breasts. కుంసంభవుడు or కుంభజుడు kumbha-sambhavuḍu. n. One born in a vase or pitcher, an epithet of Agastya. అగస్త్యుడు. కుంభాభిషేకము kumbhābhishēkamu. n. Bathing the god in a vessel of water. కుంభి kumbhi. n. An elephant.

(p. 565) tōḍu tōḍu. [Tel.] v. a. To draw or take up (water:) to bale. To dig up. కెల్లగించు. To wind up, as thread. నూలలుపోగుతీసిచుట్టు. కుంభముతోడు to place the dinner before the goddess. వడ్డించు. తోడికొను, తోడుకొను or తోడ్కొను tōḍu-konu. v. a. To bring along with one, to lead; to draw water. వానిని ఇక్కడికి తోడుకొనిరా bring him here. v. n. To curdle as milk. పేరుకొను. పాలు తోడుకొన్నవి the milk curdled. తోడితెచ్చు, తోడుతెచ్చు, తోడ్తెచ్చు or తోతెచ్చు tōḍi-teṭsṭsu. v. t. To fetch, to go and bring పిలుచుకొనివచ్చు. తోడించు tōḍinṭsu. v. a. To have drawn, to cause (water) to be raised. తోడ్తేర = కూడా పిలుచుకొని రావడానకు.

(p. 781) pūrṇamu pūrṇamu. [Skt.] adj. Full, filled, నిండిన. Complete, all, entire. సమస్తము. Strong, powerful, able. శక్తిగల. పూర్ణకము pūrṇakamu. n. A filling up; as పాదపూర్ణకము a peg in a verse: any useless word inserted to fill the measure, as ఒగి, తగన్, ఇల, &c. పూర్ణకుంభము pūrṇa-kumbhamu. n. An ornamented vase filled with water and used in marriages, &c. పూర్ణగర్భము pūrṇa-garbhamu. n. A sort of cake. బూరె. పూర్ణపాత్రము or పూర్ణానకము pūrṇa-pātramu. n. A full cup or vessel, a vessel filled with cloths or ornaments, which are scrambled for at a festival, a vessel full of rice presented at a sacrifice to the superintending and officiating priests. హర్షాదుత్సవకాలే యదలంకారాంబరాదికం. కట్నము కోసరము పండ్లు పసుపుబట్టలు మొదలైనవి ఉంచిన పళ్లెము; ఉత్సవకాలమందు సంతోషముచేత వస్త్రాభరణాదికమును దోచుకొనుట; వస్తుసంపూర్ణపాత్రము. పూర్ణమాసము or పౌర్ణమాసము pūrṇa-māsamu. n. A sacrifice performed on the day of the full moon. పూర్ణము or పూర్నము pūrṇamu. n. The inside of a pie. The stuffing of a cake. పూర్ణిమ or పౌర్ణిమాసి pūrṇima. n. The lunar day on which the moon is full. పున్నమ, పౌర్నమి. పూర్ణీభవించు pūrṇī-bhavinṭsu. v. n. To become full, నిండు, పూర్ణమగు. పూర్ణుడు pūrṇuḍu. n. One who is full or well skilled. వాడు విద్యలో పూర్ణుడు he is an accomplished scholar.

(p. 1077) rāśi or రాసి rāṣi. [Skt.] n. A heap, pile; a collection, quantity, multitude, mass. ధాన్యాదులప్రోగు. A constellation or sign of the Zodiac, మేషాదిరాసులు. These are మేషము (Aries), వృషభము (Taurus), మిథునము (Gemini), కర్కటకము (Cancer), సింహము (Leo), కన్య (Virgo), తుల (Libra), వృశ్చికము (Scorpio), ధనుస్తు (Sagittarius), మకరము (Capricornus), కుంభము (Aquarius,) and మీనము (Pisces). Plu. రాసులు, జలరాశి or అంబురాశి the collection of waters, i.e., the ocean. జీవరాశి or జీవకోటి the animal kingdom, animated nature. ఉభయరాశిధాన్యము the gross produce of a field before the Government share is deducted. మేలురాశి a heap of winnowed grain. బూగరరాసి a heap of unwinnowed grain. రాశిఅడుగు a small quantity of grain remaining after a heap has been measured. త్రైరాశికము the rule of three. పంచరాశికము the double rule of three. బహురాశికము, compound proportion. రాశిపోయు rāsi-pōụu. v. a. To heap or pile up. పోగుగా పోయు.

(p. 1247) śātamu ṣātamu. [Skt.] adj. Whetted, sharp, నాడిచేయబడిన, నాడియైన. Fechle, thin, కృశించిన. n. Joy, pleasure, happiness. సుఖము. శాతకుంభము ṣāta-kumbhimu. n. An epithet of gold. బంగారు. శాతోదరి ṣālōdari. n. A slender waisted woman. సన్ననడుముగలస్త్రీ.

(p. 1367) sthāli sthāli. [Skt.] n. Any small pot. కుంభము. కుండ. A cooking pot, వంటకుండ. A small drinking vessel, నీళ్లుతాగే చిన్నపాత్ర. స్థాలీ పులాకన్యాయము judging of the whole by a part; for the whole pot is boiled if a spoonful is. కుండెడు అన్నమునకు ఒక మెతుకుని పట్టిచూచుట అను న్యాయము.
