(p. 63) apasavyamu apa-savyamu. [Skt.] adj. Contrary, opposite to, on the wrong side ప్రతికూలమైన, దక్షిణమైన, అనగా కుడిదైన, అపసవ్యలిపి letters written the wrong way as in a seal. అపసవ్యము n. Putting the braminical thread the wrong way: that is, on the right shoulder and letting it fall on the left side instead of lying on the left shoulder. జందెమును కుడిభుజము మీద నుంచి యెడమభుజమునకు కిందితట్టుగా వేసుకోవడము.

(p. 153) uḍḍukuḍucu uḍḍu-kuḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To be out of breath, to be suffocated. To be at one's wits' end. ఊపిరి తిప్పుకొనలేక బాధపడు. స్నానమందు నీళ్లచలికి ప్రాణములు ఉడ్డుకుడిచినవి the coldness of the water took away my breath. పిల్ల పాలుడ్డుకుడిచినది the infant was choked with milk.

To know, be aware of, to understand. తెలిసికొను, గ్రహించు. వాడు దానిని ఎరిగి చేసినాడు he did it on purpose or intentionally, or ఎరుగక చేసిరి they did it unintentionally ఉపకారము ఎరిగినవారై being grateful, feeling one's kindness. మీరు ఎరిగియుండవలసినది I call upon you to be witness or to observe this. సత్తువయెరిగి లంకణముకట్టవలసినది let the patient be kept fasting in proportion to this strength. ఎరుగని ignorant, innocent. దేహమెరుగక being stupified, or insensible. ఎరుగవా don't you know? ఎరుగను I do not know. మేము కుడిచెయ్యి ఎడమచెయ్యి యెరుగనివారమై as we are such simple people that we do not know our right hand from our left నేను బుద్ధి యెరుగకమునుపే when I was an infant, before I knew anything. ఎరిగితెచ్చుట గాని యెరుగక కాదు I was well aware of what I was bringing: I did not bring it unknowingly. పాటు యెరుగని భాగ్యము fortune that knows no decline. ఎరుగమి erugami. n. Ignorance తెలియమి.

(p. 236) kaḍugu or కడ్గు kaḍugu. [Tel.] v. a. To wash, lave, cleanse. n. The water in which rice, &c., has been washed బియ్యము కడిగిన నీరు, కుడితి.

(p. 294) kuduru kuduru. [Tel.] v. n. To settle. స్థిరమగు. To recover (from illness) స్వస్థమగు. To be set, arranged, fixed, settled. To be got, obtained, found, come to hand. To fit or suit. అనుకూలమగు. To be introduced into an employ, to enter on it. To become firm, resolute. To succeed, prosper, flourish. కుదిరిన వ్రాత a settled handwriting అంతా బాగా కుదిరినది all is now right or settled. గణములు కుదరలేదు the metre is defective. ఆ పని వానికి కుదిరినది he obtained that employment. నాకు ఇల్లు కుదరలేదు. I cannot obtain lodgings. కుదురుపాటు kuduru-pāṭu. n. Settlement, arrangement, cure, remedy. కుదురుచు or కుదుర్చు or కుడిరించు kuduruṭsu. (causal of కుదురు.) v. n. To restore, to settle or arrange, to curl, to heal, to pacify, to calm, to fix or place. కుదురు kuduru. n. (G. కుదిటి Loc. కుదుట. Plu. కుదుళ్లు.) n. Settlement. Symmetry, gracefulness, beauty. Trimness, orderliness. అమరిక. Health, perfection. A family వంశము. One branch of a family. A garden bed. పాదు. A support or prop ప్రాపు. a ledge, or rim, preventing grain falling out of a mortar. A settle or ring of cord to prevent a pot from rolling over. చనుకుదురు a cancer in the breast. వాడు ఒక కుదిటివాడు he belongs to one branch of the family. ఒక్క కుదురైయున్నారు they live as one family. కుదురుకొను or కుదురుపడు kuduru-konu. v. n. To settle, to be settled. కదలకనిలుచు, నెలకొను, స్థిరపడు.
