(p. 290) kumbhamu kumbhamu. [Skt.] n. A small water jar, vase or pitcher. కుండ. The sign Aquarius. The frontal globe on the forehead of an elephant. A heap of boiled rice, prepared in the name of a goddess at her festival. కుంభవర్షము కురిసినది the rain poured down in torrents. కుచకుంభములు large breasts. కుంసంభవుడు or కుంభజుడు kumbha-sambhavuḍu. n. One born in a vase or pitcher, an epithet of Agastya. అగస్త్యుడు. కుంభాభిషేకము kumbhābhishēkamu. n. Bathing the god in a vessel of water. కుంభి kumbhi. n. An elephant.

(p. 298) kurupu kurupa. [Tel.] n. A boil or sore. వ్రణము. Raining, showering. మొన్న కురిసినదేకురుపు that was indeed a shower.

(p. 536) tuṇḍamu tunḍamu. [Skt. & Tel.] n. The face. మొగము; the mouth నోరు; a bird's beak, పక్షిముక్కు; an elephant's trunk, తొండము. The pipe or hose of a fire engine. A bit, a fragment. ఖండము. Zacc. VI. 93. వానయేనుగుతుండములాగున కురిసినది the rain fell in torrents. తుండి tunḍi. n. A projecting navel. ఉరుకుబొడ్డు. తుండిభుడు, తుంధిభుడు, తుండిలుడు or తుందిలుడు one who has a projecting navel. తుండించు tunḍinṭsu. v. a. To cut to pieces. To sever. ఖండించు, ఛేదించు. తుండు, తుండె or తుండెము tunḍu. n. A bit, a piece, ఖండము, తునక. A plot of ground. A block of wood, a piece of timber, a short beam. తుండుగావిడిచిపెట్టిన unfinished, incomplete.

(p. 580) dabadaba daba-daba. [Tel. (anuk)] adv. Audibly, noisily, aloud, trippingly. Quickly. దబదబపారిపోయిరి I could hear them running away, pattering or patteringly. దబదబకురిసినది it rained heavily, or, it pattered. దబదబకొట్టుట to beat soundly or with audible blows.

(p. 648) niṇḍu ninḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be filled, to be full. పూర్ణమగు. నింట or నిండుట ninṭa. n. Fullness, as of water (జల) పూరము. నిండ, నిండా or నిండుగా ninḍa. adv. Fully. Much, entirely, utterly. Perfectly, నిండాదెబ్బలుకొట్టినాడు he struck many blows. నిండాదండములు పెట్టినాడు he offered many compliments. వాన నిండాకురిసినది it rained heavily. నిండా సంతోషించినాడు he was much pleased. నిండాభయపడిరి they feared greatly. నిండారు or నిండబడు ninḍ-āru. v. n. To be full. నిండారు or నిండు n. Fullness, completion. పూర్ణత్వము. నిండించు ninḍintsu. v. a. To fill. నిండు or నిండైన ninḍu. adj. Full, abundant, much. నిండు కుండ a full vessel. నిండుకుండ తొణకదు a full pot does not spill. నిండుమనిషి a pregnant woman. నిండుకొను ninḍu konu v. n. To be filled: (metaph.) to be pacified, to be silent. ఈవేళ నా యింట్లో నిండుకొని ఉన్నది a phrase meaning (by rule of contrary) I have nothing to eat or give.

(p. 912) bōru bōru. [Tel.] adj. Great, large. బోరుతలుపులు or బోర్తలుపులు large doors, పెద్దకవాటములు. 'వారలుతమ తమవాకిటి, బోరుతలుపులెట్టి సమయములదెరవకతా, రారసిపదిలముసేయుచు, వారూఢస్థితివహించిరా సౌధములోన్.' KP. vi. 130. n. A rush or downpour, as of heavy rain, వానకురియుటయందగు ధ్వన్యనుకరణము. బోరున, బోరన, భోరున or భోరన bōruna. adv. Quickly, rushingly, శీఘ్రముగా. Much, grandly, greatly, heavily (as rain.) వాన జోరున కురిసినది it rained heavily. బోరునిఏడ్బినది she wept bitterly. 'మనుజేశ్వరులెల్లనుబోరన దమయంతీ స్వయంవరమునకు నొప్పంజనుదెంచిరి.' M. III. ii. 28. బోరుకలగు, బోరుకలుగు or బోరుకల్గు bōru-kalugu. v. n. To sound loud, మ్రోగు, ధ్వనించు బోరుకొను bōru-konu. v. n. To resound, sound aloud. 'భేరిమొదలగువాద్యముల్ బోరుకొనగ.' Ila. i. 104. బోరుకొలుపు bōru-kolupu. v. a. To sound. ధ్వనించునట్లుచేయు. 'బూరుగల్ కంచుకొమ్ములు కాహళములు బోరు కొలుపుటకు నంబుధులెల్లగలగ.' ND. ii. 552.

(p. 929) bhōruna or భోరన bhōruna. [Tel.] adv. Much, grandly, greatly, heavily (as rain.) వాన భోరున కురిసినది it rained heavily. భోరున ఏడ్చినది she wept bitterly. భోరున వెడలెను he proceeded in great pomp. 'భోరున గురిసిరి పుష్ప వర్షములు.' DRY. 2268. 'మనుజేశ్వరులెల్లను భోరన దమయంతీ స్వయంవరమునకు నొప్పం, జనుదెంచిరి.' M. III. ii. 28. భోరుకొను bhōru-konu. v. n. To resound, sound aloud. 'భేరిమొదలగు వాద్యముల్ భోరుకొనగ.' Ila. i. 104. టీ మిక్కిలి ధ్వనిచేయుచుండగా.

(p. 1275) santatamu santatamu. [Skt.] adj. Constant, continuous, unceasing. ఎడతెగని, విడువని. adv. Always, perpetually. నిరంతరము, ఎల్లప్పుడు. వర్షము సంతతధారగాకురిసినది it rained incessantly.
