(p. 18) akaṭavikaṭamu n. Opposition, contrariety, awkardness. విరుద్ధము, ప్రతికూలము. ఎందుకు అకటవికటము చేస్తున్నావు why do you give trouble?

(p. 18) akaṭavikaṭamu akaṭa-vikaṭamu. [Tel.] adj. Adverse, contrary, awkard, inverted, contrariwise. తారుమారైన, విరుద్ధమైన, ప్రతికూలమైన, అకటవికటమైన మాట an incoherent speech, a prevarication, అకటవికటపు మాటలాడుట to shuffle, prevaricate, అకటవికటమైన పని an awkward, confused or troublesome affair.

(p. 39) atakariñcu atakarinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To excel, surpass, transgress. మించు, అతిశయించు, అతిక్రమించు. 'ఇందువదనల మందగమన స్వభావంభు నతకరించు కుతుకరయంబునకు ప్రతి కూలంబగుచు.' KP. vi. 246.

(p. 54) anukūlamu anu-kūlamu. [Skt.] adj. Favourable, friendly, assisting, salubrious. హీతమైన, సహాయమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, శ్రేయస్కరమైన. అనుకూలమైన గాలి a favourable wind. వాని శరీరమునకు అనుకూలమైన స్థలము the place which agrees with him. అనుకూలమైనమాట a friendly word. అనుకూలశత్రువు a friendly enemy అనుకూల కాలము a suitable time. అనుకూలము or అనుకూలత n. Favour, goodness, kindness, aid. సహాయము, మేలు, దయ. దయ ద్రవ్యానుకూలము means, resource. దైవానుకూలము వల్ల by the grace of God. అనుకూలించు, అనుకూలపడు or అనుకూలమగు anukūlinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be of use ఒదవు. To have effect, to have a good result. సఫలమగు, ఒనగూడు. అనుకూలము కాలేదు it failed, it had not the desired effect. నాకు ఇంకా రూకలు అనుకూల పడలేదు I have not yet obtained the money ఈ పని నీకు అనుకూలమగును you will succeed in this business. అనుకూలము చేయు or అనుకూలవరచు anukūlamuchēyu. v. a. To shew favour, to bring a thing about, to countenance. సహాయము చేయు, నెరవేర్చు. కార్యమును అనుకూలము చేసికొన్నారు they brought it about, brought it to a conclusion. అనుకూలుడు anukūluḍu. n. A friend, ally, patron. హితుడు, సహాయుడు, ఉపకారి. వాడు నాకు అనుకూలుడు he is well disposed towards me.

(p. 1397) anugalamu anugalamu. [from Skt. అనుకూలమ్.] adj. Convenient. అనుకూలమైన. Equal, సమానము.

(p. 58) anuvu anuvu. [Tel.] n. Convenience, fitness, propriety, suitableness. లెస్స, యోగ్యము, అనుకూలము. 'మీకుగాక జలసంచారం బనువగునే మముబోలిన వనచరులకు.' P. iv. 59. 'అనువౌదివ్యరథంబునిచ్చె.' T. i. 50 అనువు కాని వేళ in an inconvenient hour. అనువరి n. A man of tact, ఉపాయశాలి, యుక్తిపరుడు. అనువు adj. Proper, right, fit, suitable, convenient. ఉచితమైన, యుక్తమైన, యోగ్యమైన. అనువుగా adv. Conveniently, suitably, fitly, with propriety. అనువు చేయు v. t. To make ready or fit. సిద్ధపరుచు. అనువుపడు v. n. To be suitable or agreeable, or convenient. అనుకూలపడు. అనువెండ or అనువుందగ adv. Duly, well. ఒప్పుగా, 'ఈ కథ వినియోదనను వొందదెల్పు విహగోత్తంసా.' H. i. 233.

(p. 63) apasavyamu apa-savyamu. [Skt.] adj. Contrary, opposite to, on the wrong side ప్రతికూలమైన, దక్షిణమైన, అనగా కుడిదైన, అపసవ్యలిపి letters written the wrong way as in a seal. అపసవ్యము n. Putting the braminical thread the wrong way: that is, on the right shoulder and letting it fall on the left side instead of lying on the left shoulder. జందెమును కుడిభుజము మీద నుంచి యెడమభుజమునకు కిందితట్టుగా వేసుకోవడము.

Expediency ఉపాయము, happiness, ease సుఖము ఇమ్ములేని inconvenient, pinched. ఇమ్ములను well, suitably బాగుగా. ఇమ్ము adj. Convenient, suitable, opportune, fitting. అనుకూలము, యుక్తము. whole, entire, ఆమూలము. Pleasant, fine. మనోజ్ఞము. Plain, evident. స్పష్టము. ఇమ్మెయి immeyi. adv. Thus. (See మెయి.) ఇమ్ముకొను immu-konu. v. i. To dwell, to live. వసించు, ఇమ్ముతప్పు immutappu. n. Difficulty. ఇక్కట్టు, సంకటము.

(p. 172) usulu usulu. [Tel.] n. Ease, facility; convenience అనుకూలము, సౌఖ్యము. వాని శరీరము కొంచెము ఉసులు కాలేదు he is rather better in health it was not convenient or easy for him. ఉసులయిన tolerably good, easy, light ఉసులు చేయు to facilitate.

(p. 177) ūlu ūlu. [Tel. for కూలు) v. n. To fall. పడు. 'ఉసిరికమాని మీద పిడుగూలిన కాయలుడుల్లునా కృతిన్.' Hurling a thunderbolt to crush a fly.

(p. 205) oṇṭimpu onṭimpu. [Tel.] n. Convenience, aid, help. అనుకూల్యము. వానికి రూకలు ఒంటింపు కాలేదు he had no money at hand. వానికి ఒంటింపు తప్పినది he has no longer the means of doing it.

(p. 205) oṇṭu onṭu. [Tel.] n. A share, division. A village community గ్రామసమూహము. A unit in numeration. సారెని ఒంటు the place or square in which a counter stands in a game at draughts. ఒంటు or ఒంటుబావిలి. n. A sort of ear-ring worn by by men. పురుషులకర్ణభూషణము. ఒంటు v. i. To agree with one's health, to be wholesome or salubrious. ఇముడు, అనుకూలించు. To touch, to go near, to approach చేరు. ఆ దేశానికిన్ని ఈ దేశమునకున్ను ఒంటక ఆశక్తముగానున్నది or అక్కడి నీళ్లకును ఇక్కడి నీళ్లకును. ఒంటనందున వానికి ఒళ్లు కుదురులేదు his health suffered from change of water, (change of air.)
