(p. 283) kiduku kiduku. [Tel.] v. n. To fret, or be cross on waking from sleep. 'మేల్కొన్న తెరగున మెల్లన కనువిచ్చి, క్రేగంటజూచుచు గిదికి నీల్గి. అవులించుచు చేతులాదరంబున ౛ాచి.' B. X. § VI. 14. (p. 313) koṅga konga. [Tel.] n. A bird of the heron or stork kind. బకము. కొంగకాళ్ల konga-kāḷḷa. adj. Cranelegged, longlegged. నిడుపుకాళ్లుగల. కొంగగొడ్డలి konga-goḍḍali. n. A pickaxe (so called by ఉప్పరవాండ్లు.) కొంగముక్కు చేప konga-mukku-chēpa. n. A sort of fish with a long snout or beak. కొంగవాలు konga-vāḷu. n. A sort of sword. (A. (p. 313) koṅgu kongu. [Tel.] n. A skirt, a hem. చెంగు, చెరగు, అంచు. కొంకోడుపడు or కొంగోడుపోవు kankōḍu-paḍu. v. i. To be inclined, to slant. ఒడ్డగిల్లు, ఒరుగు. 'కుక్కి వడినమిగలు గొంగోడుపోయిన.' Vishṇu. iv. 237. గుడ్డకొంగు simply means a cloth. కొంగుమాసిన menstruous, unclean.

(p. 385) gēḍikāḷlu or గేదెకాళ్లు gēḍi-kāḷlu. [Tel.] n. Lank legs, long and lean legs. కొంగకాళ్లు.

(p. 448) cuṅgu or చెంగు ṭsungu. [Tel.] n. A skirt, the end of a cloth. చుంగులు, అనగా బట్ట యొక్క కొంగులు.

(p. 425) ceṅgu chengu. [Tel.] n. A skirt, border, edge. కొంగు, అంచు. In marriage the couple are tied together by the corners of their skirts. Hence, ఈ పనికి చెంగువేసినాడు he is wedded to this business. నీకు చెంగుకట్టినాను I am irrevocably thy servant. చెంగుపట్టి అడుగు to seize one by the skirt as a beggar does.

(p. 430) ceragu or చెంగు cheragu. [Tel.] n. The hem or skirt of a garment. అంచు, కొంగు. Direction దిక్కు కోకచెరగునకట్టిన రూకలు money tied in the skirt. చెరగుమాసిన menstruous. బండిచెరుగు the ropes used as traces for a cart.

(p. 467) jīru jīru. [Tel.] v. n. To hand down, dangle, or trail on the ground. జీరాడు, జీరుకాడు or జీరులాడు jīrāḍu. [Tel. జీరి+ఆడు.] v. n. To sweep. పందికడుపు నేలను జీరాడుతున్నది the sow's belly sweeps the ground. కొంగు జీరాడుచున్నది the end of the cloth is hanging down on the ground. జీరువారు jīru-vāru. v. n. To spread (as a smile over the countenance) వ్యాపించు. To move, జరుగు. To avoid, go out of the way. తొలగు.

Also, a pattern or diagram drawn on the floor with lines of flour or coloured powder. ముగ్గులు. పరికలువేయు, అనగా ముగ్గులుపెట్టు. 'చ తిరుమల కంచి పుష్ఫగిరి తీర్థములం ౛ని కొంగుములఠ్లతో, నరములు దంపతుల్ వడయ వారక కాన్కలు వైచి యంతటన్, బరికలు దృష్టిదీపములలు పన్నిన గద్దెలు బెట్టి యేమిటన్, గరమగు పుత్రవాంచ కడ గానగలేక విచారభిన్నులై.' (p. 786) peggaḍi or పెగ్గురు peggaḍi. Same as బెగ్గురు a crane. 'పెగ్గడికదుపుల బెగ్గిలమగ్గించి కొంగలపొంగెల్లగ్రుంగదొక్కి.' G. i. 108.

(p. 798) paiṭa, payiṭa or పయట paiṭa. [Tel. from పయ్యెద. (పయి+ఎద.)] n. A woman's mantle, formed by throwing the train or end of the cloth over her breast and head. పైట కొంగు or పైటచెంగు paiṭa-kongu. n. The skirt or end of the same. ఉత్తరీయము, పయ్యెద. పైటకర్ర paiṭa-karra. n. A weaver's whirl.

(p. 891) buḍusu buḍusu. [Tel.] n. Hollowness. బుడుసపోయిన lean, thin, fallen in. 'వెడకొంగమెడయును కడుగూనివీపును బుడుసుబోయిన రొండిబొక్కిరొమ్ము.' NH. iv. 184.
