(p. 172) usuru usuru [Tel.] n. Breath, life; strength, vigour, grief; a sigh, affliction, plague, hardship, evil result; retribution or result. వాని ఉసురు నీకు తగులును his trouble will come upon you. ఆడదాని ఉసురు తగలకపోదు the sigh of a woman will not fail to bring trouble (to him who caused her grief). వారి ఉసురు తాకి వాడు చెడిపోవును their sorrows shall be visited on his head. ఉసురుపోసికొను or ఉసురుపుచ్చుకొను usuru-pōsi-konu. v. a. To cause sighs. To afflict. నా ఉసురు ఏల పోసుకొంటావు why do you torment me thus? ఇది చేసినందు ప్రజల యొక్క ఉసురు పోసుకొనెను this called down the curses of the people. ఉసురుతో కూడా alive.

(p. 408) ciñcu chinṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To tear, to rend. చించుకొను chinṭsu-konu. v. a. To tear or rend. To be disgusted or annoyed. ఏల గొంతుచించుకొంటావు why split your throat with roaring?

(p. 643) nānu nānu. [Tel.] v. n. To soak, to be steeped, to become wet. నానుచు or నాన్చు nānuṭsu. v. t. To cause to soak. నానజేయు. నానుడి nā-nuḍi. (నాను+నుడి.) n. A rumour. కింవదంతి. A proverb, సామెత. నానుడు nānuḍu. adj. Moist, damp, wet, soaked, sopped, steeped. తడినిన. నానుడుమేల wet land. నానుడువాన soaking rain. విడువకకురియు పొడిపొడివాన. నానుడువాసన a damp smell. నానుపు nā-nupu. v. a. To bleach. చలవచేయు. నానుబోర nānu-bōra. n. A breast of mutton, మాంసముగల రొమ్ము. Ila. iv. 275. నాన్పించు nānpinṭsu. v. a. To get bleached. నానబెట్టు or నానపోయు nāna-beṭṭu. v. a. To soak, to steep. నానబాలు, నానబ్రాలు or నానబియ్యము nāna-bālu. n. New rice that is soaked in water or milk. నానబెట్టిన కొత్తబియ్యము. నానవేయు nāna-vēyu. v. a. To soak, sop, steep. ఊరక యెందుకు నానవేసి చెరుపు కొంటావు why do you ruin yourself by delay?

(p. 684) nōru nōru. [Tel.] n. The mouth. నక్త్రము, ముఖద్వారము. G. నోటి, నోరి. Abl. నోట. Plu: నోళ్లు నోట with the mouth. నోరు ముయ్యి hold your tongue. నోరులేని dumb, unable to talk. నోరు లేనివాడు a simpleton. నోరుకొట్టు to strike on the mouth, i.e., to silence, check, rebuke; to deprive of one's rights or enjoyment, to plunder, spoil. నోరుకాచు to watch one's lips, to keep a secret. నోరుకట్టు to restrain the appetite. నోటిలో ఆడుచున్నది I have it at the tip of my tongue. వానినోరు మంచిదికాదు he is a foul mouthed fellow. పెద్దనోరుచేయు to talk loud or abusively. నోరుపడిన speechless. నోటిపేద foolish, ignorant, senseless. నోటిమాట a mere word of mouth. నోరుమెంగ nōru-menga. n. A dumb man. మూగవాడు. నోటికి వచ్చినట్టు తిట్టెను he gave them all the abuse that he could think of. నా నోట్లో మన్నుకొట్టినాడు he cast earth in my mouth, i.e., he destroyed my hopes or prospects. నోరూరు nōr-ūru. v. n. To water (as the mouth). To desire, అపేక్షించు. నా నోరూరుచున్నది my mouth waters. వానితో నీవు యేల నోరుచేసుకొంటావు why do you quarrel with him? నోరెత్తు nōr-ettu. v. n. To raise the voice, cry, speak. To try to speak, మాటడ యత్నించు. నోరాడు nōr-āḍu. (నోరు+ఆడు.) v. n. To utter. వానికి ఎటుల నోరాడెనో I can't think how his mouth could utter such words. 'చెయ్యప్పులనుచు నిచ్చినవారు కటువుగా నడుగ నుంకించి నోరాడకరుగ.' Suca. iii. 203.

(p. 1186) viruguḍu viruguḍu. n. An antidote, a remedy, విరుపు, నివారణము. విరగడ or విరుగడ vira-gaḍa. n. Release, liberation, setting at liberty. విడుదల. నీకు యింకా ఆ తొందర విరగడకాలేదా? are you not yet free from that trouble. నేటితో ఈ కష్టములు విరగడైనవి to-day these ills have ended. విరగబడు or విరుగబడు viraga-baḍu. v. n. To be puffed up or haughty. గర్వపడు, బోర్లపడు. విరుగుపాటు or విరగపాటు viru-ga-pāṭu. n. Pride, haughtiness, గర్వము, బోర్లబడుట. విరుచు viruṭsu. v. a. To cause to break, to break. To counteract poison. విరుగజేయు, భగ్నముచేయు. మాటు వేసిరసమును గాని విషమునుగాని విరిగిపోవునట్లుచేయు. నెటికలు to crack or snap the finger joints. విరుచు twist the tail. పెదవివిరుచు to turn up the lip in scorn. మండలువిరిచినాడు he broke the branches off a tree. 'చెలిమియొనర్పగా వలదె యీనిన్నంచు వెనుల్కికెమ్మాని విరిచెనొకతె.' Ila. iv. 29. విరపనగొయ్య or విరుగనికొయ్య virapana-goyya. n. A stubborn wretch.మొండివాడు. విరుపు virupu. n. A break, or the act of breaking. An objection, contradiction. విరుచుట, భగ్నము, అడ్డము, ఆక్షేపణ, మెడవిరుపులు a puzzle, stumbling block. మోనివిరుపులు turning up the lip in scorn. adj. Counteracting, విరుగుడు. విరుచుకొను viruṭsu-konu. (middle voice, with passive sense.) To be defeated. అదండు వెనకకు విరుచుకొనిపోయినది the army was broken and retreated. ఒళ్లువిరుచుకొన్నాడు he stretched himself through weariness. ఈ కొంచెముపనికి ఏల యెముకలువిరుచుకొంటావు why do you break your bones, i.e., take so much trouble for this trifling business.
