A tree, the Bauhinia parviflora. అడవి ఆముదపుచెట్టు aḍaviAmudapu-cheṭṭu. [Tel.] n. A shrub, the Jatropha curcas. కొండాముదపుచెట్టు. అడవి కుక్క aḍavi-kukka. [Tel.] n. The wild dog. అడవి కోడి aḍavi-kōḍi. [Tel.] n. The jungle fowl. అడవిచిక్కుడు aḍavi-chikkuḍu. [Tel.] n. A kind of beans which grow wild. Dolichos tetraspermus. అడవినెల్లికూరచెట్టు aḍavi-nellikūra-cheṭṭu. [Tel.] n. A shrub, croton repandum. అడవిటిర aḍāvi-bīra. [Tel.] n. A plant, a sort of Ghosha with white flowers. అడవిమల్లె aḍavi-malle. [Tel.] n. Jasminum auguzti-folium. అడవిమునగ aḍavi-munaga. [Tel.] n. A plant, Hedysarum sennoides. అడవి మొల్ల aḍavi-molla. [Tel.] n. A sort of jasmine (Jasminum auriculatum.) Globe amaranth.

(p. 199) ēpāru ē-pāru. [Tel. ఏవు+ఆరు] v. n. To increase, to be proud అతిశయించు, గర్వించు. 'నేడీకొండాటపుటెల్క యుల్కెరుగకెట్లేపారభక్షించెడున్.' P. ii. 21. To bloom, flourish. విజృంభించు. See ఏపు.

(p. 206) oka oka. [Tel. Not derived from Skt. వొక, as other words denoting the numerals col show, but cognate with it] adj. A, an, one: ఒక్క. ఒక కోవందరు a few or some few. కొండొక some, some little, as కొండొకసేపు a little time. ఒకరీతిగా after a manner. ఒక పని నిమిత్తము about a certain affair. Adding the intensive ఏ it gives the sense of only: thus ఒకే యిల్లు, or ఒక యిల్లే only one house. వారు ఒక చెయ్యిగానున్నారు they are hand in hand, leagued together. ఒకనాడును ఒప్పడు he will never assent. ఇది ఒకలాగున ఉన్నది this is after a fashion, i.e., is odd, such as cannot be defined. నాకు ఒక విశముగానున్నది I feel very queer, I am out of sorts. ఒకప్పుడు at one time, once. ఒకవేళ at one time, perhaps. ఒకవేళ అట్లా చేసినా if he ever does so, in case he does so. ఒకింత or ఒక్కింత okinta. (ఒక+ఇంత) n. So much: a little, some trifle, ever so little.

(p. 214) orudala oru-dala. [Tel.] n. A hole ఎలుక బొక్క. P. ii. 117. Solitude ఏకాంతము. Talebearing, backbiting చాడీలు చెప్పుట, కొండెములు చెప్పుడ, కొండెకానితనము Miserliness పైశున్యము. ఒరుదలకాడు orudala-kāḍu. n. A wretch: a miser పిశునుడు. A. iv. 167. A talebearer. A backbiter, a slanderer, a tell-tale, కొండెకాడు. 'మొదలన యొరుదలకానిం జెదరంగానాడకాత్మ జింతింపుపదిం బదిగమృషయేని మరివిడు మదముస్తుగజేయకుండు మొక్క మతమునన్.' A. iv. 267.

(p. 218) ōnikaṭṭu ōni-kaṭṭu. [Tel.] n. A narrow pass between hills కొండలనడిమి గొందిదారి.

(p. 230) kaṭakamu kaṭakamu. [Skt.] n. A town or city. A capital రాజధాని. The town of Cuttack in Orissa. A ring for the wrist or ankle, a bracelet or anklet. క్షడియము, పాదకటకము. కళ్యాణ కటకము the town of Kalyaṇ. The side or ridge of a hill. కొండనడుము, పర్వతనితంబప్రదేశము.

(p. 240) kanama or కనుమ kanama. [Tel.] n. A gap, opening, breach. A defile, pass. సందు, కొండలసందు, దోవ. A scar అమ్మవారుకనములు గలవాడు one whose face is pitted with the small pox.
