(p. 850) prēriñcu , ప్రేరేచు, ప్రేరేపు or ప్రేరేపించు prērinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To urge, induce, incite, spur, instigate, excite, prompt, urge, encourage. ప్రేరణచేయు. పురికొలుపు. ప్రేరేపణచేయు. ప్రేరకుడు prērakuḍu. n. One who incites or encourages, ప్రేరేపణచేయువాడు. ప్రేరణ. ప్రేరణము or ప్రేపణ prēraṇa. n. Inducement, encouragement, temptation, excitement, instigation, urging. పురికొలుపడము. 'ప్రేరణమును లేనిలేమ.' Sumati. 65. ప్రేరణి prēraṇi. n. A kind of dance, ఒకవిధమైననృత్యము. ప్రేరణీయము prēra-ṇīyamu. adj. Fit to be encouraged, ప్రేరణ చేయదగిన. ప్రేరితము prēritamu. adj. Encouraged or incited, ప్రేరేపబడిన. ప్రేరితుడు prērituḍu. n. One who is induced instigated or encouraged, పురికొల్పబడ్డవాడు. ప్రేరేపకుడు prē-rēpakḍu. (for ప్రేరకుడు.) n. (p. 853) prōdbalamu prōd-balamu. [Skt. ప్ర+ఉత్+బలము] n. Support, aid, assistance. సహాయము. Encouragement, instigation. పురికొలుపుట. ఇది వాని ప్రోద్బలముపైని జరిగినది this was done at his instigation.

(p. 912) bōru bōru. [Tel.] adj. Great, large. బోరుతలుపులు or బోర్తలుపులు large doors, పెద్దకవాటములు. 'వారలుతమ తమవాకిటి, బోరుతలుపులెట్టి సమయములదెరవకతా, రారసిపదిలముసేయుచు, వారూఢస్థితివహించిరా సౌధములోన్.' KP. vi. 130. n. A rush or downpour, as of heavy rain, వానకురియుటయందగు ధ్వన్యనుకరణము. బోరున, బోరన, భోరున or భోరన bōruna. adv. Quickly, rushingly, శీఘ్రముగా. Much, grandly, greatly, heavily (as rain.) వాన జోరున కురిసినది it rained heavily. బోరునిఏడ్బినది she wept bitterly. 'మనుజేశ్వరులెల్లనుబోరన దమయంతీ స్వయంవరమునకు నొప్పంజనుదెంచిరి.' M. III. ii. 28. బోరుకలగు, బోరుకలుగు or బోరుకల్గు bōru-kalugu. v. n. To sound loud, మ్రోగు, ధ్వనించు బోరుకొను bōru-konu. v. n. To resound, sound aloud. 'భేరిమొదలగువాద్యముల్ బోరుకొనగ.' Ila. i. 104. బోరుకొలుపు bōru-kolupu. v. a. To sound. ధ్వనించునట్లుచేయు. 'బూరుగల్ కంచుకొమ్ములు కాహళములు బోరు కొలుపుటకు నంబుధులెల్లగలగ.' ND. ii. 552.

(p. 1031) mēlu mēlu. [Tel.] n. Good, kindness. ఉపకారము. Good fortune, prosperity, favour, happiness, క్షేమము, శుభము. Profit, advantage, లాభము. Righteousness, పుణ్యము, సుకృతము. Excellence, superiority, విశేషము. Love, మోహము. Pride, మదము. 'చదువుల మేలులేదొ.' P. iv. 119. అక్కడికి పోతే మేలు it would be better to go there. అదేమేలు so much the better. మేలెరుగు to be grateful, remember kindness. కీడుమేలు తెలిసినవాడు one who knows good and evil. Noble, fine, excellent, superior, శుభమైన, శ్రేష్ఠమైన. మేలుమిద్దె an upper storey. 'లోపలియంతస్తులోని మేల్మిద్దె.' Sārang. D. 113. మేలుగోడ the top wall, battlement, parapet or rail wall. మేలుముసుకు the outer cover. మేలుమాట or మేలువార్త happy news. adv. Up, above, over, మేలు or మేలుమేలు interj. One who is or sets an example; a paragon of excellence, an example, ఉదాహరణము. adj. Excellent, శ్రేష్ఠము, శ్రేష్ఠుడు, శ్రేష్ఠురాలు. 'మేదినీనాధులకునెల్ల మేలుబంతిగా బ్రవర్తింపకేల, దుష్కర్మివైతి.' Vish. ii. 116. 'నిజచరిత్రంబు భావిబూభుజులకెల్ల మేలుబంతిగవసుమతియేలుచుండె.' ib. vi. 63. మేలలుమచ్చు mēlu-maṭsṭsu. n. An upper storey, చంద్రశాల. మేలుమచ్చులు a kind of game played by boys. మేలురాసి mēlu rāṣi. n. The top part of a heap of winnowed grain. తూర్పెత్తిన ధాన్యపుసోగు. మేలువాడు mēlu-vāḍu. n. A lover, విటుడు, వలపుకాడు, మంచివాడు. 'అంతరాధకుమేలు వాడైమురారి.' A. v. 56.

(p. 1159) vāluga or వాలువ vāluga. [Tel.] n. A kind of fish. A fish in general. చేప. The name vāluga is given to two or three kinds of fish, which are scaleless, rank and oily. Thus, వాలుగచేప is a sea-fish, Trichivurus lepturus. See Russell, plate 165. Another vāluga is a fresh water fish, found in tanks but oftener in rivers. Another is a species of Silurus (Russell, plate 165.) ముల్లువాలుగ is the Cat fish, which is nearly globular, and is covered with prickles. వాలుగకంటి valuga-kanṭi. n. A beautiful eyed woman, a woman whose eyes are as beautiful as those of a fish. వాలుగటెంకి a sort of Scale-fish. Russell, plates 3 and 10. Rhinobatus læris. (Jerdon.) వాలుగపాము a certain venomous water snake. 'వాలుగమీలుమిట్టిపడగ.' S. iii. 291. 'కొర్రమీనుల తండ్రి కొలుపులెంకలకిచ్చె వాలుగలనుసంగడీలకిచ్చె.' G. i. 111. వాలుగడాలు, (మీనకేతనుడు) is a title of Manmatha whose banner is a fish.

(p. 1228) vaitāḷika vaitāḷika. [Skt. from వితాళము.] n. A melody or tune which is without a marked time. రాగవిశేషము. వైతాళికుడు vaitāḷikuḍu. n. A king's bard. వేకుడను రాజులకు మేలుకొలుపులు పాడువాడు, బట్టువాడు. 'ఒకవైతాళికుడేగుదెంచి సబలోనుత్క్క్షప్తహస్తాగ్రుడై. G. xi. 135.

(p. 1362) saukhaśāyanikuḍu or సౌఖసుప్తికుడు saukhaṣāyanikuḍu. [Skt.] n. A bard or minstrel, whose duty it is to waken the prince in a morning with music and song. వైతాళికుడు, రాజులను నిద్రమేలుకొలుపువాడు, సుఖనిద్రయాయని ప్రశ్నము చేయువాడు. A. iv. 320.
