(p. 263) kavulu or కౌలు kavulu. [Tel.] n. A written agreement given to the ryot by the landlord regarding the land he takes up to cultivate. మక్తాకవులు an agreement under which land is held at an annual quit-rent for a stipulated period.

(p. 1004) muddatu muḍdalu. [H.] n. A period or time. ముద్దతుకౌలు muddatu-kaulu. n. A temporary or conditional agreement. ముద్దతుక్రయము muddatu-krayamu. n. A foreclosed mortgage, a conditional sale with a penalty attached. ముద్దతుహుండి muddatu-hunḍi. n. A bill payable after a stipulated interval.
