One of the eight elephants (గజ) the guard the cardinal points (దిక్కులు) of the world. A poetical phrase answering to the poles of heaven. దిగ్గజములుమ్రోయ making the welkin ring. కవిదిగ్గజము a leading or classical author. దిగ్బంధము dig-bandhamu. n. Confessedly, avowedly, notoriously. అతడు వస్తాడని ప్రసిద్ధిగానున్నది there is a general talk of his coming. ప్రసిద్ధిచేయు or ప్రసిద్ధపరచు to publish, or make known.

(p. 873) bavani or బవిని bavani. [Tel.] n. A kind of dance accompanied by story telling. సుద్దులు చెప్పుచు ఆడేనృత్యము. బవనీ. బవనీడు, or బవినీడు bavanī. n.
