(p. 350) gajamu gajamu. [Skt.] n. An elephant. adj. Large. గజనిమ్మ the horse lime, i.e., the large lime: గజవ్యాళి a huge dragon, గజదొంగ a great rogue. గజము [H.] n. A yard, three feet. గజేంద్రగజము gajēndra-gajamu. n. The measure called 'the great yard' equal to ten yards. గజకర్ణము gaja-karṇamu. (Lit. An 'elephant's ear.') n. A large fan with a hollow handle. wherein it can be turned round rapidly. గజకర్ణమురీతిగా fickle, uncertain as a weathercock. గజగామిని or గజయాన gaja-gāmini. n. A woman with the rolling pace of an elephant i.e., with a majestic gait. గజనిమీలినము gaja-nimīlinamu. n. Wakefulness or lightness of sleep (Literally, an elephant's sleep.) A nap. (p. 756) pippali pippali. [Skt.] n. Long pepper, Anthrocnemum indicum. పిప్పళ్లబియ్యము grains of this pepper. నరుపిప్పలి a plant called Sphenoclea zeylanica. Rox. i. 507. కొయ్యపిప్పలి a plant called Salicornia brachiata. గజపిప్పలి a plant called Pothos officinalis, or Tomex scbifera. Rox. iii. 819. అది పిప్పళ్లబస్తావలెనున్నది it (or she) is as strong as a horse: lit: as a sack (బస్తా) of this pepper. పిప్పలికట్టె the dried root of the long pepper. పిప్పలిదుంప the root of the long pepper. పిప్పళ్లమోడి the thick or woody part (మోడి) of the long pepper vine.
