(p. 109) āgaḍapalu āgaḍapalu. [Tel.] n. A range of clouds. మొగిలుదొంతి, మబ్బులసన్నపు దొంతరలు.

(p. 183) eggu eggu. [Tel.] n. Harm, injury, కీడు, అపవాదము. Shame, disgrace. అనాదరము, దూషణము. Abuse or evil word కీడుమాట. Fault, sin అపరాధము, దోషము. Loss or evil కీడు, నష్టము. ఎగ్గులాడు, ఎగులుపట్టు. eggul-āḍu. v. t. To find fault, to disgrace. నిందించు. ఎగ్గొందు to meet with ill success, to be baffled. క. (p. 235) kaḍapu or గడపు kaḍapu. [Tel.] v. t. To put off, to send away without giving any thing ఇయ్యకపొమ్మను. To kill చంపు. To drive తోలు. To let go వదలు. కడపుచెయ్యి a rudder. చుక్కాని.

(p. 352) gaḍavu or గడువు gaḍavu. [Tel.] n. A period, or fixed time. గడపునాటికి when the time for payment, &c.) comes. The fixed time. (3 days, &c.) at which a bill is drawn.

(p. 352) gaḍucu or కడచు gaḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To pass or elapse, as time. v. a. To pass over, to transgress, to exceed or surpass. To expire. ఇది లేకుండ నాకు గడవదు I cannot get on without this. గడిచిబ్రతికినవారు the survivors. ఇక్కడ గడవనందున దేశాంతరమునకు వెళ్లినాను as I could not get on here I went elsewhere. గడపుకొను or గడుపుకొను gaḍapu-konu. v. a. To manage, transact, effect. గడిపించు (Causal of గడచు.) gaḍi-pinṭsu. v. a. To pass. కాలము ఇట్లు గడిపించి passing the time thus. గడుపు gaḍupu. v. a. To pass (time). To put off or defer, to finish. To cause to pass over. To forward, push on, drive on, urge on. To get over, get through (trouble).

(p. 363) gāḍida or గాడిదె gāḍida. [Tel.] n. An ass. adj. Wild, or, inferior. గాడిదవేప the worthless kind of vēpa. గాడిదగడపాకు a certain herb used in medicine. గాడిద కాళ్లుగల adj. Bandy-legged. గాడిదె గడపర gāḍide-gaḍapara. n. The gaudy birth-wort, aristolochia bractcata, a plant used in medicine. గాడిదెపులి gāḍide-puli. n. The hyæna. దుమ్ములగొండి, కొర్లగండి.

(p. 441) canu ṭsanu. [Tel.] v. n. To go, depart, పోవు; to pass కడచు. To be deserving, to be proper, right, fit. చెల్లు, తగు. చూడచనదు it is not fit to be seen. v. a. To get, to have పొందు. చన్నంతదవ్వు. (BD. i. 869.) as far as he went. చనునే is it right? 'క' అనుటయు బ్రవరుం డిట్లను వనజేక్షణ యిట్లు పలుక వరుసయె వ్రతులై దినములు గడపెడు విప్రుల జనునే కామింప మది విచారము వలదే.' Manu. ii. 56.

(p. 424) cīli chīli. [Tel.] n. A pet term applied to a cat, like 'Pussy' పిల్లి. ౛గడపుచీలి a tom cat మగపిల్లి.

(p. 692) pagaḍapu jiṭṭa pagaḍapu-jiṭṭa. n. A kind of bird. పక్షివిశేషము. పగడపురిక్క pagaḍapu-rikka. n. The constellation called అర్ద్రానక్షత్రము. పగడమల్లె pagaḍa-malle. n. A very delicate and fragrant flower, with white petals and a yellow tube. Nyctanthes arbor tristisi Rox. i. 86.

(p. 754) piḍikeḍu piḍik-eḍu. n. A handful, as much as can be held in the closed fist. 'ఎరుకపిడికెడు ధనము' (a proverb) acquaintance is a handful of money. పిడికోల piḍi-kōla. n. The handle of a plough staff, నాగేలులోనగువాని మేడి. పిడిగంట piḍi-ganṭa. n. A bell with a long handle. పిడిగుద్దులు piḍi-guddulu. n. Blows. పిడిగొట్టు piḍi-goṭṭu. v. a. To geld, as an animal. Literally, to strike the handle (of a chisel, &c., which is placed on the testicle.) ఎద్దువట్టలుకొట్టు, పిచ్చలుతీయు. పిడిపిప్పెడాకు piḍi-pippeḍ-āku. n. An acrid gummy weed, poisonous to sheep, also called వెగటజిగురు or గాడిదెగడపర. పిడిమూర piḍi-mūra. n. The distance between the elbow and the closed fist. పిడియము or పిడెము piḍiyamu. n. A dagger, బాకు. పిడివాటు piḍi-vāṭu. n. Taking sheaves of corn up in the hand and beating out the grain from them. An agreement, ఒడంబడిక. పిడివాటుచీటి a note or letter which parties write to each other after an agreement. పిడివాదము piḍi-vādamu. n. Obstinacy, మూర్ఖము. పిడివేయు piḍi-vēyu. v. n. To put a handle on to anything. పిడిసాన piḍi-sāna. n. An anger, a drill. బరమా పిడిసి or పిడినె piḍisi. n. A Rose colored Pastor or Cholum Bird. 'పిడిసెలు చేనిమీద నొకబిస్సునవాలగజూచి.' Sri Natha.

(p. 892) burada burada. [Tel.] n. Mud. అడుసు. పంకము. బురకమ్మి burada-kammi. n. A stepping stone, a threshold or plank at a door. గడపకిందికమ్మి. బురదగుంట burada-gunṭa. n. A puddle. గేదెలుపొర్లేగుంట. బురదదుక్కి burada-dukki. n. Ploughing in an irrigated field. ఊడ్చుటకు సిద్ధము చేసినపొలము. బురదపాము burada-pāmu. n. A water-snake. నీరుపాము.

(p. 905) bogaḍa bogaḍa. [Tel.] n. A golden ornament which women wear on the upper part of the ear. The peg or key of a lute. The knob on the top of the leg of a cot. Any knob, గుబ్బ. బొగడచెవి a hole bored in the ear, in which the gold ornament is worn. A chink or leak. నీళ్లువచ్చురంధ్రము. ఆ చెరువుకట్టలో బొగడపడినది there is a leak in the bund of the tank.

(p. 911) bōde , or బోదియ bōde. [Tel.] n. The trunk of a tree, ప్రకాండము. The bulging part of anything. The pediment or chapter of a pillar, స్తంభముమీద దూలముకిందనుండేది. Also, a runnel or small channel for watering trees. మళ్లకుకట్టేకాలువ. 'పూచిన యొక్క పోకమనుబోదియజేరి.' Swa. ii. 33. 'అరుగులుసున్నంపుటెరమంటి పట్టెలుతీర్చినగోడలుతేజరిల్ల. నిండుసున్న పుపూతనెరచాలుబోదెలు దిద్దినదేవరమిద్దెవర.' H. i. 167. 'మిద్దెలో బోదియమీదనున్న తలపొందుగదీసుకరమ్మటంచు.' ib. i.224. బోదెకొయ్య a piece of wood for a doorstep, గడపకిందికమ్మి.

(p. 1012) musanābu musanābu. [H.] n. A screen, తెర, తడక. 'గొడియ, లలరారు కురువేరు తలుకుబల్ ముసనాబుపరువంపు పొగడపూబటువు దిండ్లు.' Paidim. iii.77.

(p. 1035) mogaḍa mogaḍa. [Tel.] n. A bud. A boss or knob on a shield or door. మొగ్గ, గుబక. 'విత్తులేనియట్టి వృక్షమొక్కటి పుట్టె ఫలముపువ్వు మొగడపత్రిలేదు, స్వాదులేదు చూడ సాపాటునకు లెస్స, దీనిభావమేమి తిరుమలేశ.' Tirumalēsa. 'పూమొగడతోతులదూగులతాంగిముక్కు.' R. iv. 60.
