(p. 41) atītamu atītamu. [Skt.] adj. Past, elapsed. గతమైన. కాలాతీతమైనది the time is gone by. లోకాతీతమైన extraordinary, wonderful. అతీతుడు n. He who has passed or gone over. గడిచినవాడు. Thus వేదాతీతుడు he who has perused the Vedas.

(p. 347) gaṇḍamu ganḍamu. [Skt.] n. The side of the head. చెక్కిలి. An elephant's temple. ఏనుగుచెక్కిలి. The baleful influence of a star. గ్రహయోగము. An evil event, a narrow escape, గొప్ప అపాయము. దినగండము నూరేండ్లాయిస్సు to live long in daily peril of ruin. నాకు దినగండముగా జరుగుచున్నది I am daily living from hand to mouth. గండము గడిచి బయలుపడ్డది the affair is over and this is the result. Lit the trouble is over, the child is born. అతడు తండ్రి గండమునకు పుట్టినాడు he was born to be the cause of his father's ruin. గండపాళి ganḍa-pāḷi. n. The temple or side of the head. గండమండలము ganḍa-manḍalamu. n. The temples of the head.

(p. 352) gaḍucu or కడచు gaḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To pass or elapse, as time. v. a. To pass over, to transgress, to exceed or surpass. To expire. ఇది లేకుండ నాకు గడవదు I cannot get on without this. గడిచిబ్రతికినవారు the survivors. ఇక్కడ గడవనందున దేశాంతరమునకు వెళ్లినాను as I could not get on here I went elsewhere. గడపుకొను or గడుపుకొను gaḍapu-konu. v. a. To manage, transact, effect. గడిపించు (Causal of గడచు.) gaḍi-pinṭsu. v. a. To pass. కాలము ఇట్లు గడిపించి passing the time thus. గడుపు gaḍupu. v. a. To pass (time). To put off or defer, to finish. To cause to pass over. To forward, push on, drive on, urge on. To get over, get through (trouble).

(p. 751) piṇḍamu pinḍamu. [Skt.] n. A lump of rice, అన్నపుముద్ద, A ball. చెండు. A body, form, living frame. ఆకారము, శరీరము. The fœtus or embryo, గర్భస్థశిశువు. The oblations that are made to deceased ancestors. పితృదేవతలకిచ్చు అన్నపుముద్ద. ఈ గండము గడిచి పిండము బయటపడితే చూతము when the fray is over we shall see what happens. నాడు ఉత్పాతపిండము he is a perfect hero. నాకు పిండానికి లేక చస్తున్నాను I am dying for a bit of bread. పిండముపెట్టు to offer balls of rice to the manes of ancestors. Vēma. iii. 192. పిండలి or పిండలివండ pinḍali. (from పిండము.) n. A lump or mass. ముద్ద, గడ్డ. పిండలి పండు or పిండిలిపండు mud and slush. గడ్డలను నీళ్లును, గడ్డలుకట్టినబురద. 'తురగభురోగ్ధూత ధూళితో బెరసిన, వననిధిపిండలి పండుగాగ.' M. IV. iii. 150. పిండాకూడు or పిండాకుడు pinḍā-kūḍu. n. A contemptuous word for food.

(p. 843) prāk prāk. [Skt.] n. The East. తూర్పు దిక్కు. adj. Before, prior, preceding in place or time, past, gone. Eastern. ముందరి, గడిచిన, తూర్పుసంబంధమైన. adv. Formerly, of old. మునుపు, ముందర. ప్రాక్తనము prāk-tanamu. adj. Ancient, of old days. పురాతనమైన.

(p. 1137) valacu or వల్చు valaṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To smell or emit perfume. వాసనకొట్టు. 'గమగమవలచు చొక్కపుజవాది.' Swa. ii. 59. 'శ్వాపదంబులపదహతి వ్రస్సివలచి, వరుగు దరుచగు మురుత్రోవనరిగియెదుట.' A. vi. 18. టీ వలచు, కంపుకొట్టుచుండే v. a. To love, wish, long for, కామించు, మోహించు, కోరు, ఆశించు, అపేక్షించు. 'నాకెంతవలచియున్నది యహహోవినగవలతు.' P. iii. 308. వలపు or వల్పు valapu. n. Love, affection, fondness, మోహము, కామము. A desire. కోరిక. Smell, fragrance, పరిమళము. 'పూనికనాటతోట వలపుల్ గలకప్రపుకమ్మధూళి.' R. iii. 98. వలపుల్ గల. వాసనలుగలిగినటువంటి. 'కసటు వోపన్నీటగడిచి పువ్వులతావివలనైనకమ్మజవ్వాది వలపునెరప.' T. iii. 131. టీ వలపు, వా సనను. వలపించు valapinṭsu. v. a. To inveigle, tempt, enamour or cause to love. మోహింపజేయు, వలపించుట valapintsuṭa. n. Enamouring, tempting. మోహింపజేయడము. 'సయ్యాటముల్ వింతలున్ గిలిగింతల్ వలపించుటల్ చతురతల్.' H. i. 293. వలపుకాడు valapu-kāḍu. n. A lover, an amorous person. కామముగలవాడు. కాముకుడు. వలపుకత్తె or వలపుకత్తియ valapu-katte. n. An amorous woman, కామము గలది. కాముకి. వలపుకీలు Same as పోకముడి. (q.v.) వలపుమోపరి valapu-mōp-ari. n. Lit: The bearer of scents, i.e., the air, వాయువు. గంధవహుడు. వలపులరేడు or వలపురాయడు valapula-rēḍu. n. The god of love.మన్మథుడు. వలవని or వల్వని valavani. adj. Not wanted, useless. అక్కరలేని, కొరమాలిన. adv. Much, very. అతి. అమితమైన. 'చేయవలవని కార్యంబుసేయుకతన.' Padma. iii. 61. చేయవలవని కార్యము what one ought not to do, చేయరానిపని. 'వలవనిఠీవినవ్వు.' P. ii. 135. వలవనిఠీవి, అనగా పనికిమాలిన రాజసము.
