(p. 187) ettugaḍḍalu ettu-gaḍḍalu. [Tel.] n. The movable earthen cheeks of a fire place. ఎత్తుడు పొయ్యిగడ్డలు.

(p. 198) ēdu or ఏదువంది ēdu. [Tel.] n. A procupine. ముండ్లపంది. One species is called కోడియేదు but in the south it is called ఒంటరికాడు. HD. i. 512. ఏదుపెరికినట్లు or ఏదుపంది ముండ్లు తీసినట్లు like pulling out the porcupines quills. ఏదువాసన a disgusting smell like that of a porcupine. cf. To cease or stop, gather or form as clouds or a boil, or lump; to be with young (used of animals.) భేది కట్టినది the diarrhoea ceased. మబ్బులుకట్టినవి clouds have gathered. నెత్తురు వెల్లువకట్టినది there was a gush of blood వానికి దెబ్బతగిలి నెత్తురు కట్టినది he received a contusion from a blow. గడ్డలుకట్టిన congealed, become hard. తూటుకట్టినది there is a hole formed.

A certain kind of window గవాక్ష విశేషము. కత్తెరచీల kattera-chīla. n. A pin on which a lever acts. మీట ఆడే చీల. కత్తెరదొంగ kattera-donga. n. A cut purse. కత్తెరబావిలీలు kattera-bāvilīlu. n. An ornament of gold and gems worn by women near the top of the ear. కత్తెరయెండ kattera-yeṇḍa. n. Fierce heat. కత్తెరరాయ kattera-rāyi. n. Marble; a kind of black stone, which is sonorous like metal. కత్తెరవాసములు kattera-vāsamulu. n. Bamboos arranged against each other like the blades of scissors.

(p. 239) kanakamu kanakamu. [Skt.] n. Gold. 'కనకంబునకును సౌరభ్యము కలిగినట్లు' (L. XIX. 332.) 'Marvellous as would be fragrance in gold: it is as strange as though gold were fragrant. (The Telugu poets frequently mention this fancy; that, were gold gifted with fragrance, it would be indeed perfect.) 'భూతిగడ్డకేల పుట్టించెవాసన, కనకము తనకేమి కల్లజేసె.' వేమన.
