(p. 49) anagu anagu. [Tel.] v. n. To unite with; to obey. అనగిపెనగియుండు anagi-penagi-yunḍu. v. n. To be familiar, easy, affable. కలియగలుపుగానుండు. 'అట్టిజగజంతకేగాని యనగిపెనగియుండుదువెనీవు మాబోంట్ల యొద్దజేరి.' N. ix. 393.

(p. 86) alaṅgamu alangamu. [H.] n. The wall of a fortified place, a rampart, a bulwark. వస్త్రము, కోటగోడ పై భాగము. 'కోటలమీద జుట్టు జని గొప్ప యలంగ పుటిండ్లు చూడియవ్వీటికి నెల్ల.' D. R. vi. 244. 'బంగారపు కోటలతుదంగలుగు మానికపు శృంగములకెక్కుచు నలంగములపైకి చంగుననుదాటుచు.' N. vii. 167.

(p. 226) kandu kandu. [Tel.] n. Blackness, discoloration, as by scorching: a dark shade as in the face of the moon నలుపు. Evil, harm. కీడు. Pain తాపము. 'ఇత్తెరంగున గలుగు కందెల్లనోర్చి' M. IV. iv. 60. An infant బిడ్డ. adj. Blackish, dark, impure (as silver) కందువెండి base silver. కందు or కందుపారు kandu. v. n. To scorch, be scorched or charred. మలినమగు. To redden, or be inflamed. To become black నలుపగు. To be annoyed or grieved తపించు. మనసుకందిన వాడై being vexed or grieved.

(p. 258) kaliyu or కలియు kaliyu. [Tel.] v. n. To mix, join, mingle. To collect, assemble. To coalesce. To agree, correspond, match. To be included in, to fall under. To set to work, being to do. దిక్కులు కలియచూచి looking all round. దృష్టి కలిసినప్పుడు when our eyes met. అతనిభూమిలో కలిసినస్థలము a spot included in his land. ఆ దారి ఇక్కడ కలియుచున్నది that road meets here. సభ కలిపినది, or సభ కలిసిపోయినది the assembly has broken up or adjourned: కలియగలుపు kaliya-galupa n. Familiarity, affability. కలియగలుపుగానుండే familiar, easy, affable. కలియబడు kaliya-baḍu v. n. To meddle with. To rush, fall (upon enemies) వాండ్లు మామీద కలియబడ్డారు they rushed upon us. To become entangled. 'అరుతసరులుకలియంబడుచు.' B. viii. 457. కలియబెట్టు. kaliya-beṭṭu. v. a. To mix, to stir.

(p. 259) kalugu or కల్గు kalugu. [Tel.] v. n. To live exist. To be. ఉండు. To happen, occur. To become అగు. To endure ఓపు. To be born పుట్టు. To meet కూడు. ఒక రాజుకలడు there was a certain king. అతనికి పిల్లలుకలిగి children being born to him. సొమ్ముకలవాడు one who has money. నాకు న్యాయము కలిగినది I got justice. అట్లా అనడముకద్దు (or కలదు) it is usual to say so. పనికలిగి వచ్చిరి they came about some business. వ్రాయగలడు he can write. అట్లా మేము చెల్లించగలవారము కాము we are not liable to pay this money. వీరాదిగాగలరాజులు (RYD. 2060) these and other princes. తెలివిగలవాడు a man of sense. యాభైయేండ్లుగలవాడు aged fifty. To be sore. వానికి కండ్లుకలిగినవి he has sore eyes. v. t. To have, to show కలిగియుండు, కనుపరుచు. 'కరుణగలుగుమ్మ కమలనేత్ర.' (భార. అది. viii.)

(p. 297) kuragali kuragali. [Tel.] n. Nearness. సమీపము. కురగట adj. Near, close, by. 'కురగటరేబగలుగాచి కొలువగవలయున్.' P. i. 160. కురగటి neighbouring. Same as కురంగలి.

(p. 297) kurāḍamu , కురాళము kurāḍamu. [Skt.] n. An awning or canopy. మేలుకట్టు, చప్పరము. 'చేర్చికురాళముల్ గలుగు చిల్లకోళ్లదనర్చి పట్టె చేదచీర్చిన తూగుపాన్పు.' H. iii. 119.

(p. 317) koṭṭu koṭṭu. [Tel.] v. a. To strike, knock. smite, beat, thrash. To attack (as rats do.) To rob, as highwaymen do. To quash, refute, defeat, dismiss, nonsuit. To strike off (the head) or behead. To strike out or rescind (a word). దారులు కొట్టు to rob (on) the high road. గోడను కాగితముకొట్టు to put (or stick) a paper on the wall. చప్పట్లుకొట్టు to clap the hands. అచ్చుకొట్టు to print. కొర్రుకొట్టు to impale. ఈతకొట్టు to swim. నన్నుముకొట్టు to whitewash. నన్ను దొంగలుకొట్టినారు thieves robbed me. చెంపకొట్టు to give a slap on the cheek. బుడ్డికొట్టు to crack a bottle, i.e, drink liquor. తలకొట్టు to behead, to ruin. పిండికొట్టు to pound flour. డేరాకొట్టు to pitch a tent. ఊడగొట్టు to loosen. చెడగొట్టు to spoil or ruin. తేలగొట్టు to set afloat. దిగగొట్టు to drive in. నలియగొట్టు to bruise. పండ్లు రాలగొట్టు to knock out a man's teeth. పగలగొట్టు a break to pieces. పడగొట్టు to throw down. పోగొట్టు to lose. విరుగగొట్టు to break; సాగగొట్టు to beat out (metal). ఊకొట్టు to hum in assent while listening. బుసకొట్టు to hiss. వాడు చేసిన దౌర్జన్యము వాణ్ని కొట్టినది his wickedness has fallen on his own head. నా నోట్లో మన్ను కొట్టినారు they have cast earth into my mouth, i.e., cheated or ruined me. కొట్టించు koṭṭinṭsu. v. t. To cause to beat.

(p. 533) tīga , తీగె or తీవ tīga. [Tel.] n. A creeping plant or vine; a tendril or spray. లత. A wire, the string of a lute, తంతి. A necklace of gold wire, a gold or silver belt, మొల నూలు. A gold ornament worn by women, బంగారుపట్టెడ. ప్రేముతీగలు the rattan lacing in a chair. మెరుపుతీగె a flash of lightning. పాచితీగె, బంగారుతీగె, &c., are various creepers. తీగెగరక tīge-garika. n. A creeping species of bent grass, called Agrostis stolonifera. తీగబచ్చలి a creeper, Convolvuḷus repens. See బచ్చలి. తీగయిల్లు an arbour పొదరిల్లు. తీగయెలుగు a low voice హీనస్వరము. తీగబోడి tīga-bōdi. n. A slight and graceful girl. తీగమల్లె the creeping Jasmine. తీగమెరుగు tīga-merugu. n. Lightning without thunder ఉరుములేని మెరుపు. A sort of grain. తీగమోడి tīga-mōḍi. n. Patterns of flourishes or carved work in carpentry. వ్రాతపని. ముత్తెములు తీగెమోడికుట్టే పనులు embroidery in the fashion of sprigs of pearl. తీగసాగు tīga-sāgu. v. n. To increase, to prosper వర్ధిల్లు. గార బాగా తీగెలు సాగేలాగున కలిపిరి they mixed the mortar till it was of a proper consistency. తీగలుపారు to spread వ్యాపించు. తీగవిలుకాడు an epithet of Manmadha. తీగసరులు a kind of rice ధ్యాన్యవిశేషము.
