(p. 218) ōmanakāyalu ōmana-kāyalu. [Tel.] n. Pieces such as tamarind seeds, &c., used in a game called ఓమనగుంటలాట. ఓమనగుంటలు ōmana-guṇṭalu. n. A kind of game అచ్చనగండ్లు ఓమనపీట a small table which is hollowed out in a number of places, to be used in this game.

(p. 237) katti katti. [Tel.] n. A knife. A sword. తీసినకత్తితీరు బిత్తలియై నిలిచినది she stood as a drawn sword. A measure of land, which differs in various districts. It is considered to be as much as a man can reap in one day. In the Government accounts a 'cutty' is rated at 40 acres and 14 గుంటలు (q. v.) This phrase, which means a 'sword of land' implies that this quantity of land was assigned to a family which furnished the feudal lord one fighting man. కత్తికట్టేదొర katti-kaṭṭē-dora. An officer, a gentleman who wears a sword. కత్తికాసు katti-kāsu. n. A carpenter's tool for squaring. కత్తిపిట్టి katti-piṭṭa. The Cuckoo called Hierococcyx varius. చిన్న కత్తిపిట్ట The Indian plaintive cuckoo, Cacomantis passcrinus. (F.B.I.) కత్తిపిడిక a basket in which a toddy drawer keeps his knives ఈండ్రవాని కత్తుల బుట్ట. కత్తిపీట katti-pīṭa. n. A large knife standing slantwise in a block of wood upon which vegetables are sliced. కత్తిబళ్లెము katti ballemu. A 'sword spear,' a scythe-like blade mounted as a spear.

(p. 371) guṇṭa or కుంట gunṭa. n. [Tel.] n. A pit, a hole of any kind. పల్లము. A pond కొలను. A tank. చెరువు. వాని కన్నులు గుంటలుపడినవి his eyes are sunken. A certain square measure of land, 1/4th of an acre. గుంట పెట్టి గంటవాయించు lit. to put in a pit and ring the bell, i.e., to forget మరచిపోవు. గుంటక gunṭaka. n. A harrow. పొట్టిగుంటక a small harrow. గుంటక గు౛్జులు the two pieces of wood in a harrow that connect the block with the front iron piece. గంటకదిండు the cross log of wood in a harrow. గుంటకపలుగు the iron part of a harrow. గుంటకపోయు gunṭaka-pōyu. v. t. To harrow. గుంటకయడ్డ the block of wood in a harrow. గుంటకోవి gunṭa-kōvi. n. A firepot, a rocket in an iron tube on a pole: a sort of firework fixed on a pole. పెట్లదిమ్మ. A kind of cannon. ఒక విధమైన ఫిరంగి. గుంటగలగర gunṭa-galagara. n. The shrub named Eclipta verbesina-prostrata. Ainslie. ii. 129. గుంట గలిజేరు gunṭagalijēru. n. A kind of hogweed గలిజేరు (q. v.) గుంటచాళ్లు gunṭa-ṭsāḷḷu. n. The game of marbles. గుంటదూలము gunṭa-dūlamu. n. A rafter. గుంటదూలము gunṭa-nakka. n. The Indian fox, Vulpes bengalensis. (p. 389) gorru gorru. [Tel.] n. A piece of land measuring 32 gunṭās (గుంటలు.) A drill plough. దున్నిన పొలము మీద దున్నే యంత్రము. గొర్రుతోలు to harrow.

(p. 426) ceṅgu chengu. [Tel.] v. n. To be loosened (as a knot) వీడిపోవు, తొలగు. To with draw, to retreat వెనుదీయు. To lose or fail in a game ఓడిపోవు. చెంగి ఆడు to talk indifferently. అక్కరపట్టనట్టుగా మాట్లాడు. చెంగిచెంగిపోవు to loiter in walking. కాయచెంగినది (at games with small balls) the ball stopped, or missed. రెండుగుంటలు చెంగినవి there are two holes without balls. చెంగగొట్టు to defeat ఓడించు.

(p. 1015) mūta mūta. [Tel from మూయు.] n. Shutting, closing, covering, మూయుట. A cover, lid, top. A valve, any little door as that of a lantern. The cover or parchment of a drum. మూయునది. మూతపడు or మూతలుపడు mūta-paḍu. v. n. To be closed, మూసికొనిపోవు. అతని చెవులు మూతలుపడినవి his ears were stunned, his ears tingled. మూతపొడువు mūta-poḍuvu. n. A kind of game. ఒక ఆట. 'దాయాలుసొగటాలు దాట్రాయి చదరంగమును పోటురాళ్లును, మూతపొడువు, వామనగుంటలు.' H. iii.191. మూతబల్ల mūta-balla. n. A sheathing plank that closes up the ends of the rafters of a pent roof. ఇంటి ముంజూరును మూయుబల్ల, వాచూరుపట్టె.

(p. 1153) vāmanamu vāmanamu. [Skt.] adj. Dwarfish, short. పొట్టి. n. A tree termed ఊడుగుచెట్టు. నామనకాకి vāmana-kāki. n. The green billed Cuckoo. వామనకాయలు or వామనములు vāmana-kāyalu. n. plu. The name of a certain fruit used as a pickle. ఊరగాయవేసే ఒకవిధమైన కాయలు. Tender tamarind fruit, లేతచింతకాయలు. వామనగుంటలు vāmana-gunṭalu. n. A tablet with fourteen holes for playing at a kind of game. గవ్వలుగాని చింతగింజలు మొదలైనవాటినిగాని వేసి ఆడే రెండు వరసలుగా నేడెసి. గుంటలుగలపీట. వామనపాతుకాడు vāmana-pātu-kāḍu.
