(p. 76) ammanalu or అమ్మనములు ammanalu. [Tel.] n. A game wherein a number of balls are thrown into the air, one being caught in the hand descending whilst others are rising: అణంగులు గుండ్లను ఎగరవేసి ఆడే ఆట. 'గుజగుజరేకులు గుజ్జనగూళ్లను బొమ్మలపెండ్లిండ్లు నమ్మములు.' N. ix. 101.

(p. 365) gāli gāli. [Tel.] n. Wind, air, breeze. వాయువు. Scent మృగములదేహవాసన. A devil పిశాచము. plu. గాలులు. వానికి గాలి సోకినది he is possessed by a devil. గాలి విద్య an art that, like painting, depends on geniua alone and cannot be taught. గాలిమాట. a rumour. Empty talk, nonsense, లోక ప్రవాదము. గాలికుంటు a spavin, a disease that attacks horses and cattle. పిచ్చుకకుంటి, పశువులకు గొరిసెలందు పుండుపడే వ్యాధి. గాలికల a senseless or empty dream. వారిది గాలిజీవనము they live upon the wind, i.e., they have no settled means of life. గాలికుక్క gāli-kukka. n. A hound: because it follows the scent. గాలిగుడి gāli-guḍi. n. A halo round the sun or moon. పరివేషము. గాలిగాడు gāli-gāḍu. n. An ass; a fool. గాలిగుడ్డు gāli-guḍḍu. lit. A wind egg. A simpleton. Nothing, nonsense. గాలిగూళ్లు (from గూడు.) gāli-gūḷḷu. n. A mode of arranging sheaves so as to be aired. గాలిగొను gāli-gonu. v. n. To be aired. గాలిపారు. గాలిగోపురము gāli-gōpuramu. n. (p. 373) guzju guzzu. [Tel.] n. A prop: an upright piece of wood used in supporting a shorter beam on a longer one in a shelving roof. A dwarf. Pulp, thick juice. చింతపండుగు౛్జు the pulp of tamarinds mixed with water. గద్దరికొమ్మలగు౛్జు (G. 151.) a short ox పొట్టియెద్దు. The cotton pod after the flower has fallen. గు౛్జు adj. Short, stumpy, dwarfish. గు౛్జువాడు a dwarf. గుజ్జుది a dumpy woman. ఎక్కిన వానికి ఏనుగుగు౛్జట అనగా వాడుకగా ఎక్కేవానికి ఏనుగు అలక్ష్యము. Familiarity breeds contempt. గు౛్జుతనము guzzu-tanamu. n. Shortness, dwarfishness. గు౛్జుప్రాలు a sort of rice. గు౛్జుమామిడి n. A young or dwarf mango tree. గు౛్జువేల్పు Lit. the plump short god. A name of Gaṇēsa. గుజ్జెన gujjena. adj. Infantile, childish గుజ్జెనగూళ్లు doll's dinners, children playing at cookery.

(p. 1171) viḍu viḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To separate, become loose, వీడు. To fall asunder, తనకుతానేవదలు, వీడిపోవు, విరిసిపోవు. 'నీళ్లమీదబుగ్గ నిలిచిన యప్పుడు తళ్లువేగవచ్చితాకుగాక, వడెడుకుండకింత విభ్రాంతిపడుదురు.' Vēma. 70. v. a. To relinquish, leave, quit, abandon, give up, loosen, untie, undo, let go, release, separate, త్యజించు, మానుకొను, వదలు, విచ్చు. విప్పు, వీడ్చు, విడుగడ or విడుగర viḍu-gaḍa. n. Release, liberation. విడుదల, విమోచనము. 'ఉర్రిద్రెవ్వగొరికి యిప్పుడ వెరవారగనేనునీకు విడగరనేయం దొరకొనుట నీదుభాగ్యం బరితత్వము దొరగిమైత్రియలవరపు మదిన్.' M. XII. iii. 207. 'అన్యదేశ్యునధర్మువిడుము.' A. iv. 257. విడుగు viḍugu. v. n. To blow or expand, as a flower, వికసించు. 'ముడిగెతొగలడగెరిక్కలు విడిగె పయోజమ్ములుడిగెవెన్నెల.' S. I. 164. విడదొక్కు or విడద్రొక్కు viḍa-dokku. v. a. To allot, set aside, grant, as land. విడిచు ఇచ్చు. ఆయూరికింద నాయూరి పొలములో కొంతభూమి విడదొక్కినారు they allotted some land from one village to that village. విడనాడు viḍa-n-āḍu. v. a. To cast off, desert, quit, relinquish, divorce. విడుచు, విడిచిపెట్టు, వదులు. 'కూళగూళమెచ్చు గుణవంతు విడనాడి.' Vēma. 1752. విడబడు or విడవడు viḍa-baḍu. v. n. To escape, get free, break loose, వీడు, విచ్చలవిడియగు, కట్టువదిలించుకొని నిరంకుశముగానుండు, తెగనుండి వేరుపడు. నిర్భందమునుండి తొలగు.
