(Rox. iii. 738.) కేతకి. మొగిలిచాప a mat made of its leaves. మొగలాకుగొడుగు an umbrella made of its leaves. మొగిలిచండ్లు the drooping tips of the branches. మొగిలిపువ్వు the fragrant flower of this tree. మొగిలినాగు a snake said to be found in its flower. మొగలిరేకు a petal of its flower, or an ornament worn by women on the head. మొగలికోడి mogali-kōḍi. n. A watercock. ఒకపక్షి. మొగలిపనస mogali-panasa. n. The pineapple, అనాసచెట్టు మొగలేరు moga-lēru. (మొగలి + ఏరు.) n. The celestial river. ఆకాశగంగ. The name of a stream, also called సువర్ణముఖి. 'మొగలేటిమడువున' Kālahas. ii. 161. BD. iii. 349. మొగలివాకిలి mogali-vākili. n. An entrance to a town, తలవాకిలి. A town hall where criminal cases are tried. కచ్చేరి, హ౛ారము. 'పణిహారులు వేగను వీరచోడునింటను వెలుగొందుగిన్నె కపటంబునగైకొని దొంగవంచు నవ్వవజిదళాక్షినింమొగలివాకిటికీడిచి చోరదండన మొనరింప జూడగ.' Valeswara. v. 85.

(p. 1117) vaṃza vandza. [Tel.] n. A barren woman, a sterile cow. గొడ్డావు, గొడ్రాలు. సీ వంజలనథననువలనేర్పడగ నొకభంగి జేపగజేసిపాలుగొందు.' M. IV. i. 95. వం౛లు the cross pieces that support the ribs of an umbrella.

(p. 1185) viri viri. [Tel.] n. A flower, పువ్వు. adj. Blooming, blown, as a flower, వికసించిన. Dispersed, scattered, dishevelled, తొలగిన. Free from, liberated. వీడిన, విముక్తమైన. 'లీల నీ ప్రావృడాగమవేళయందు నిండు జాబిల్లిపండువెన్నెలలు మింట నెడనెడలగాయ నదికంటివేకరింబు, మొగలు విరియెండవలె దాపమున దేరల్చు.' R. vi. 21. విరిపువ్వు a blooming flower. విరిగొందులు flower lanes. The act or state of being stunned, bewilderment, embarrassment, నిశ్చేష్టత. వెరగొందు or వెరగుపడు verag-ondu. v. n. To be surprised. ఆశ్చర్యపడు. To be stunned, నిశ్చేష్టతనొందు. వెరగుపాటు veragu-pāṭu. n. Wonderment, surprise, bewillderment, వెరగుపడుట. The act or state of being stunned, bewilderment, embarrasment, నిశ్చేష్టత. వెరవెరపాటు vera-vera-pāṭu. n. The act of being stunned.

(p. 1215) velugu or వెలుంగు velugu. [Tel.] v. n. To shine or give light. ప్రకాశించు. 'వెలిగిరిబలములు తీర్యంబులు నార్పులుజెలంగ.' M. VI. ii. 187. n. Light, splendour, brightness, సూర్యచంద్రాదికాంతి, ప్రకాశము, వెలుతురు. A ray of light, కిరణము. Sunshine, ఎండ. దండివెలుగు the great light, i.e., God, పరంజ్యోతి. 'పెద్దవిన్నపము చెప్పినగానివినరావు, చేవెలుంగిడకున్న చెడును దృష్టి.' Vish. viii. 402. వెలుగురేడు velugu-rēḍu. n. The lord of light, i.e., the sun. వెలుగించు velgu-inṭsu. v. a. To light, kindle. To cause to shine. రగిలించు, ప్రకాశింపజేయు. వెలుగొందు or వెల్గొందు Same as వెలుగు. (verb.)

(p. 1277) sandu or సంది sandu. [from Skt. సంధి.] n. A small opening, a fissure, crack, hole, బొత్త, చిల్లి, బీటిక. Space, an interval. ఎడము, మధ్యప్రదేశము, మధ్యకాలము. A lane, a narrow street, చిన్నవీధి, గల్లీ. A nook, corner, మూల. A backyard, పెరడు. A period of time, an opportunity, సమయము, సందర్బము. A direction or quarter. చంకసందు the armpit. వేళ్లసందు the space between two fingers. ఇక్కడ సందు విడువు leave a space here. సందిచ్చు to give room or opportunity. వాడు ఎవరికిని సందియ్యకుండా మాట్లాడుతాడు he will let nobody else get a word in, he gives no one an opportunity of speaking. వారిద్దరిసందున వీడు నలిగిపోవుచున్నాడు between the two this man is ruined. సందులు గొందులంతా వెతికినాడు he hunted in every hole and corner. సందుచూచి లోగా చొరబడినాడు he took an opportunity and rushed in సందువాకిలి the back-door, పెరటిగుమ్మము. సందుముట్టు menses occurring at intervals, that is, at irregular periods. 'నేటికి నబ్బెసందు.' T. iii. 87. అనగా నేడు సమయము చిక్కెను. సందిక్రంతజగడములు petty disputes, అల్పమైనజగడములు. సందుకట్టు sandukaṭṭu. n. An interval, మధ్యకాలము. గ్రహణపు సందుకట్టు the time that an eclipse lasts. అమావాస్య సందుకట్టు the period of new moon. నేను పోయి వీడు వచ్చే సందుకట్టులో in the interval between my going and his coming. సందుకొను sandu-konu. v. n. To take or seize an opportunity, సమయము చూచుకొను. To extend spread, వ్యాపించు. v. a. To unite with, కూడు. To be joined to, to marry, పరిగ్రహించు. సందుకొట్టు or సందుతగులు sandu-koṭṭu. v. n. To be injured by a ghost. సందుదోషము sandu-dōshamu. n. Demoniac possession. బిడ్డలకు మాససంధియందు కలుగు బాలగ్రహదోషము. ఆ బిడ్డకు సందుదోషము తగిలినది, సందుకొట్టినది or సందుతగిలినది the child is fairy-struck or injured by a ghost that haunts a particular spot. సందుసీసము sandusīsamu. n. A certain feat in wrestling.
