(p. 395) gōvinduḍu go-vinduḍu. [Skt.] n. Lit. A cow-herd. A name of the god Krishna. గోవిందగోవిందా Hurrah! huzza!

(p. 1075) rāyaḍu or రాయుడు rāyaḍu. [from Skt. రాజు.] n. King, master, lord, రా౛ు. (A word used only in compound phrases.) పులుగులరాయడు the king of birds, i.e., Garuḍa. తెనుంగురాయడు or ఆంధ్రనాయకుడు the name of the god worshipped at Chicacole. కొండలరాయడు the king of hills, i.e., the Himalaya. A title (like Mr.) assumed by certain Hindus as రామరాయడు, గోవిందరాయడు. రాయలు (plu.) was the title assumed by the last Telugu dynasty. the kings of Vijayanagar.

(p. 1175) vidde or విద్దియ vidde. [from Skt. విద్య.] n. Science, knowledge, learning. చదువు. A trick; guile. 'అద ్దిరభక్తునియరగొండెతనము విద్దెలాడుటగాక విందుమెతొల్లి, విపరీతమిందరు వినగబల్కింతు.' BD. v. 208. విద్దెము or విద్దియము viddemu. n. The tottering gait of an infant. నిలువ మొదలుపెట్టే బిడ్డ ఆడే ఆట. 'జనకుండయ్యలు విద్దెమేదియనకృష్ణా రామగోవిందయంచునటించు.' N. iv. 165. విద్దెలాడు vidde-l-āḍu. v. n. To juggle, గారడివిద్యలుచేయు.

(p. 1244) śarma or శర్మము ṣarma. [Skt.] n. Joy, happiness. ఆనందము, సుఖము. A name or appellation. నామధేయము, పేరు. A certain title conferred on Brahmins, as గోవింద శర్మ. విష్ణుశర్మ. బ్రాహ్మణుల పట్టపుపేరు. 'ధర్మము శర్మకరంబని.' P. iii. 126. adj. Joyful, సంతోషముకల.
