(p. 397) grahamu grahamu. [Skt. గ్రహ = to seize.] n. A planet. నవగ్రహములు the seven planets and the sun and moon. దశమగ్రహము a tenth planet: being like the Georgium sidus. A spirit, a devil. A proverb says జామాతా దశమోగ్రహః A son-in-law is a more pestilent fellow than any one planet! he is the 'tenth!' గ్రహచారము graha-chāramu. n. Disaster, ill luck, fate, misfortune. నా గ్రహచారము చాలక యిట్లు జరిగినది through my misfortune (or, to my sorrow) it so happened. మా గ్రహచారము ఇట్లున్నది this is what has befallen us. గ్రహణము grahaṇa-mu. n. Taking, seizure. Reception, acceptance, comprehension. An eclipse. గ్రహణి grahaṇi. n. Diarrhœa, dysentery. అతిసారరోగము. గ్రహతారలు graha-tāralu. n. The planets and fixed stars. గ్రహపతి graha-pati. n. The lord of the stars, i.e., the sun. గ్రహరాజు the sun or moon.

(p. 448) cālu ṭsālu. [Tel.] v. n. To suffice, to be enough or sufficient. కావలసినంత అగు, సమృద్ధమగు. To be able. To bear, tolerate, endure ఓపు. చాలును (3rd pers. aor.) it is enough. చాలదు. neg. aor.) it is not enough. అనజాలరు they cannot say. బుద్ధిచాలదు నీకు (Dasav. iv. 195.) you have not sense enough. చాలీచాలకయిది జరిగించినాడు he committed this out of dire necessity. చాలీచాలవు these are barely enough. ఈడుచాలిన grown, of full age. ఈడుచాలని under age, immature. జ్ఞాపకముచాలదు I do not sufficiently remember it. నా గ్రహచారము చాలక యిట్లు సంభవించెను through my luck not being good enough it so happened. వాపులుచాలు enough of these words about relationship. 'వాలి నేనును సురల్ పడినొకవంక జాలితి మొకవంక జాలి రసురులు.' T. iii. 117. On our side we were mighty, and so were our foes. చాలు n. Sufficiency, abundance సమృద్ధి. A line, a row, series, furrow, stripe, track, trace. A flow or stream. Features. తల్లిచాలుపోలిక resemblance to the mother's features. ఈ చాలున in this manner. శ్రేణి, సరణి, జాడ. A. v. 122. R. i. 106. 117. చాల్గల, i.e., చాలుగల. (Vasu. i. 57.) in a stream. చాలుపు or చాల్పు ṭsālupu. n. A line or row. A series, succession. Length: the longer measurement as opposed to the width. చాలుపుగా in a line, one after another, here and there, occasionally. చాలుబడి ability, చాలిక, సామర్ధ్యము. చాలు వాడు one who is able శక్తుడు, సమర్థుడు. చాలుపారు to be fine or pretty వరుసతీరు. 'క మొలచి తలలెత్తి నిక్కుచు సలలితగతి జాలుపారె సస్యములధిపా.' భాగ. x.

(p. 584) daśa daṣa. [Skt.] n. State, condition. అవస్థ. Power, authority, influence. Luck. fortune. బాల్యదశ childhood. వృద్ధదశ old age. క్రామదశవచ్చెను a time of famine came. నీ జాతకప్రకారము రెండు దశలు భాగ్యనుభవించివలసి నదిన్ని రెండుదశలు గ్రహచారము అనుభవించవలసినదిన్ని your destiny gives you two portions of good and two of evil. ఆ రాజు ఎన్ని దశలు బాగ్యమును అనుభవించినాడు what proportion of the king's life was happy? గ్రహదశ the influence of the stars. మహాదశ the rule or away of the predominant planet, qualified or modified by అంతర్ధశ the several influences of the minor planets. అతడు జీవదశనున్నప్పుడు when he was alive. కష్టదశలోనున్నాడు he is in difficulties.

(p. 1127) vadalu or వదులు vadaḷu. [Tel.] v. n. To be loosened, to be slackened or untied; to cease, depart, disappear. సడలు, ఊడు, వీడు. జ్వరము వదలిపోయినది the fever went off. నా గ్రహచారము వదిలే కాలమువచ్చినది the time has arrived for my ill-luck to come to an end. ఆ కర్మము వదిలిపోయినది that trouble is now over. v. a. To loosen, let go, quit, renounce, abjure, give up, abstain from. విడిచిపెట్టు, విడుచు, మానుకొను. The act of leaving, విడుపు. వదలించు, వదిలించు or వదల్చు vadalinṭsu. v. a. To loosen, slacken, release, get rid of. విడిపించు, సళ్లించు, పోగొట్టు, వారి గర్వమును వదిలించినాడు he crushed their pride. వదలివేయు or వదలుకొను vadali-vēyu. v. a. To abandon or leave, to desist from, get rid of, abstain from, మానుకొను, త్యజించు.
