(p. 75) amṛtamu a-mritamu. [Skt.] n. Nectar, ambrosia. Water, milk, clarified butter, the residue of a sacrifice. Final emancipation from matter and absorption in the Deity. సుధ, ఉదకము, దుగ్ధము, ఘృతము, యజ్ఞశేష ద్రవ్యము, మోక్షము, (వాడుకగా) మజ్జిగ. పంచామృతములు the five nectars, namely, water, milk, curds, ghee and honey. అమృతమునకు అంటులేదు nothing can defile buttermilk. వానిది అమృతహస్తము. he has a healing hand. వానిది అమృతవాక్కు his tongue is inspired. అమృతముహూర్తము n. An auspicious hour. శుభముహూర్తము. అమృతాంధసుడు n. One whose food is ambrosia, a god. దేవత. అమృతాంశువు n. That which gives forth soft beams of light, i.e., the Moon. చంద్రుడు.

(p. 401) ghṛtamu ghṛitamu. [Skt.] n. Clarified butter. నెయ్యి. ఘృతోవధి a sea of ghee నేతిసముద్రము.

(p. 677) neyyi , నేయి or నెయి neyyi. [Tel.] n. Butter which has been melted and clarified, ghee. ఘృతము. Any unctuous juice, grease, oil, or fluid: In cookery it is equivalent to ' stock,' or lard. నేతులు the pus from sores. నేతతడుపు to moisten. 'నెయ్గూరలు' (A. vi. 94.) vegetables that are fried. పందినెయ్యి or పందికొవ్వు lard. నేతి nēti. adj. Of the ghee; buttery. నేతిబీరకాయ the sharp-angled cucumber.

(p. 1294) sadyḥ or సద్యము sadyah. [Skt.] adv. Instantly, momentarily, at the moment, in an instant. తత్కాలమందు, అప్పుడు. భార. స్వ. i. సద్యఃఫలము the immediate result or reward. సద్యఃకాలము present time. సద్యఘృతము butter just fried, fresh ghee. సద్యోజలము new fallen rain.

(p. 1386) havanamu havanamu. [Skt.] n. A sacrifice, oblation burnt-offering. హోమము. హవనీయము havanīyamu. adj. Sacrificial, fit for or intended for sacrifice. హోమము చేయదగిన. హావము havamu. n. A sacrifice, oblation, యజ్ఞము. A command, ఆజ్ఞ. A call, calling, పిలుపు. హవి, హవిస్సు or హవిష్యము havi. n. An oblation of ghee or clarified butter; an article fit to be offered in sacrifice. Any thing fit to be eaten on holy days and on sacred occasions, as wheat, cow's milk, &c. హోమద్రవ్యము. ఘృతము, నెయ్యి. పిండి మొదలైన లఘ్వాహారము. వ్రతాదులయందు విహితమైన భోజనీయద్రవ్యము. హవ్యము havyamu. n. An offering to the gods. దేవతార్థనియమి తాన్నము, హోమియద్రవ్యము. హవ్యకవ్యములు offerings to the deities and the manes of deceased ancestors. దేవతలలకును పితృదేవతలకును యోగ్యమైన అన్నము. హవిర్భక్కు, హవ్యవహుడు, హవ్యవాహుడు or హవ్యవాహనుడు havir-bhukku. n.
