It is as folllows: - ఓంబూర్భునస్సువఃతత్సవితుర్వరేణ్యం భగ్గోదేవస్యధీమహీ ధీయోయోనః ప్రచోదయాత్ 'Om! Earth! Heaven! Let us meditate on the supreme splendour of the divine sun! May he illuminate our minds!'

A. iv. 36. చిల్లచెవులు ears that are empty, that is, unadorned with earrings. చిల్లకోల or చిళ్లకోల chilla-kōla. n. A whip with several lashes. తోమరము. A pitchfork. చిల్లచండ్లావు a cow, the ends of whose teats are forked. చిల్ల జగడము a vain dispute, a quarrel about nothing.

(p. 670) nuccu nuṭsṭsu. [Tel.] n. The dung of sheep or goats, మేకలగొర్రెల పేడ. Goat hair, మేక వెంట్రుకలు. నుచ్చుపాతలు nuṭsṭsu-pātalu. n. 'Dug ties;' bits of cloth with which the teats of sheep or goats are tied. మేకలగొర్రెల చండ్లకట్టేగుడ్డలు. Pal. 361. నుచ్చు nuṭsṭsu. v. a. To tie a cloth round the teats of goats. (p. 805) poḍa poḍa. [Tel.] n. Appearance, figure, shape. రూపు, చూపు. A mole, speck, mark, a scruff or eruption on the skin. Variegated colour. పొడలపురుగు a spotted worm or serpent. పొడకట్టు poḍa-kaṭṭu. v. n. To make an appearance, to seem, appear, be visible, కనబడు, ప్రత్యక్షమగు, తోచు. నాకు ఆలాగు పొడకట్టినది it struck me so. పొడగను, పొడగాంచు or పొడచూచు poḍa-ganu. To see, view, behold. చూచు. 'పుడమిభర్తకుపండు పొడగాన్పుజేసి, కడుభక్తితోదాని క్రమమెల్లదెలుప.' Sārang. D. v. SVI. పది దినాలుగా వాని పొడ కానము I have not set my eyes upon him these ten days. పొడగానుపు poḍa-gānupu. n. Seeing, looking. పొడగనుట, దర్శనము. పొడచూపు or పొడపడు poḍa-ṭsūpu. v. n. To appear, to become visible, to be seen. కనబడు, ప్రత్యక్షమగు. పొడతామర poḍa-tāmara. n. A certain drug, Asclepias vomitoria (kœnig,) Vomiting Swallow-wort (Ainslie,) which is very efficacious in cases of scorpion stings. పొడయెండ poḍa-y-enḍo. n. Sun-shine that appears through the clouds. పొడలమాను See చండ్ర పొడలమెకము poḍla-mekamu. n. The spotted deer. దుప్పి. పొడసుత్తె poḍa-sutte. n. A small hammer, చిన్నసుత్తె.

(p. 1036) mogali or మొగిలి mogali. [Tel.] n. The Screw Pine, or Mangrove, Mandanus odoratissimus. (Rox. iii. 738.) కేతకి. మొగిలిచాప a mat made of its leaves. మొగలాకుగొడుగు an umbrella made of its leaves. మొగిలిచండ్లు the drooping tips of the branches. మొగిలిపువ్వు the fragrant flower of this tree. మొగిలినాగు a snake said to be found in its flower. మొగలిరేకు a petal of its flower, or an ornament worn by women on the head. మొగలికోడి mogali-kōḍi. n. A watercock. ఒకపక్షి. మొగలిపనస mogali-panasa. n. The pineapple, అనాసచెట్టు మొగలేరు moga-lēru. (మొగలి + ఏరు.) n. The celestial river. ఆకాశగంగ. The name of a stream, also called సువర్ణముఖి. 'మొగలేటిమడువున' Kālahas. ii. 161. BD. iii. 349. మొగలివాకిలి mogali-vākili. n. An entrance to a town, తలవాకిలి. A town hall where criminal cases are tried. కచ్చేరి, హ౛ారము. 'పణిహారులు వేగను వీరచోడునింటను వెలుగొందుగిన్నె కపటంబునగైకొని దొంగవంచు నవ్వవజిదళాక్షినింమొగలివాకిటికీడిచి చోరదండన మొనరింప జూడగ.' Valeswara. v. 85.

(p. 1215) veli veli. [Tel.] n. Whiteness, తెలుపు. The outside or exterior, బయట, బాహ్యము. The external surface of the body, దేహముయొక్క బహిఃప్రదేశము. Publicity, బయలుపాటు. Excommunication, or exclusion from caste, బహిష్కారము. మాలో వెలి అనేమాటలేదు excommunication is unknown in our caste. 'వెలికిగోర్కు లెల్లవిడిచిపెట్టి.' Vēma. 791. adj. White, తెల్లని. (Indra's) white horse, (ఇంద్రుని) తెల్లగుర్రము, ఉచ్చైశ్శ్రవము. వెలిమావులు white mares. 'విమలాంబుదముల బూనిన విమానములనదగవెలసి వెలిమావులు.' M. VII. i. 228. 'వేరొక్క వెలిమావువేల్పుదొరకు.' R. i. 46. వెలిమిడి or వెల్మిడి veli-miḍi. (వెలి+మిడుగు.) n. The ashes of cow-dung fuel, ashes, పిడకనిప్పులబూడిద, భస్మము. 'తెలుపులన్నియు మేలుదెలియంగనిసుక వెలిమిడియెముకలు వెసనుప్పుపత్తి.' Madhura Puran. D. page. 78. వెలిమొట్ట veli-moṭṭa. n. A sort of fish, the 'white snout.' వెలిమొట్టలనుదండువల తలార్లకునిచ్చె కొడిసెలపరిహాసకులకు నిచ్చె.' G. i. 111. వెలిమ్రాను veli-mrānu. n.
