(p. 153) uḍḍukuḍucu uḍḍu-kuḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To be out of breath, to be suffocated. To be at one's wits' end. ఊపిరి తిప్పుకొనలేక బాధపడు. స్నానమందు నీళ్లచలికి ప్రాణములు ఉడ్డుకుడిచినవి the coldness of the water took away my breath. పిల్ల పాలుడ్డుకుడిచినది the infant was choked with milk.

(p. 210) odugu odugu. [Tel.] v. n. To make room. to move so as to accomodate తొలగు. To come to hand, to be got or obtained. దొరకు. To become plentiful సమృద్ధమగు. To be of use or convenient. To assist, be at hand or ready. ఈ బియ్యము పండితే అన్నము ఒదుగుకావడములేదు on boiling this rice, it does not swell to the proper quantity. ఈ బట్టచలికి ఒదగదు this cloth is of no use against cold. కొంచెము ఒదుగుము, ఆయనను కూర్చుండనిమ్ము move a little and let him sit down. ఒదిగి ఒదిగి ఉన్నారు; they yielded. నాకు ఇప్పట్లో రూకలు ఒదగలేదు I have not yet obtained the money.

(p. 267) kācu kāṭsu. [Tel. from కాగు.] v. n. To be hot; to shine, as the sun or moon. To be hot as fever. To wait, dangle in attendence. నాకు జ్వరముకాచినది I had the fever on me. కొంచెము జ్వరముకాస్తున్నది there is a little fever. చలికాచుకొనుట to bask or sit by the fireside, or to warm oneself. ఎండకాస్తున్నది there is sunshine. ఆ చింతచెట్టు కాయడములేదు that tamarind tree does not bear. To wait for, attend on నాకొరకు కాచుకొన్నాడు he is waiting for me. అతని వద్ద మూడు ఏండ్లు కాచుకొని యుంటిని I was in attendance on his for three years. కాచు v. a. To boil; to heat, to warm. To bear fruit. కాగజేయు. ఆ ఊరంతా కాచి వడపోసినాడు lit. he has boiled and strained off the town, i.e., he has made himself master of the whole town. తేనీళ్లుకాచు to make tea. బెల్లము కాచడము sugar making. రాత్రి అంతా వారికి కాచడము కట్టడముతో సరిపోయినది the whole night was passed in fomenting and binding up the limbs.

(p. 443) cali ṭsali. [Tel.] n. Cold, coolness, a chill. శీతము, శీతబాధ. చలిజ్వరము cold and fever, i.e., ague. నాకు చలిపెట్టినది I felt cold. చలి. adj. Cold, cool. చలికూడు cold food, breakfast. చలియిసుక camphor. Vasu. ii. 36. చలిగురువు ṭsali-garuvu. n. (A. iv. 151. on which the note says 'జువ్వున పులుసు తిన్నందువల్ల తీసుక పొయ్యేనోటిపండ్లు.') చలిపని a cooling operation, శైత్యోపచారము. చలిబిండి ṭsali-binḍi. n. The name of a certain plant. చలిమల ṭsali-mala. n. The hill of snow, i.e., హిమాచలము. చలిమిడి ṭsalimiḍi. n. A mixture of rice flour and sugar బెల్లము కలిపిన పిండి. చలిమిరి or చల్మిరి ṭsali-miri. n. Coolness చలువ, శైత్యము. A cake G. i. 114. చలివావు ṭsaliv āpu. (చలి+పావు.) v. n. To warm, to soothe or comfort బు౛్జగించు. చలివాలు ṭsali-vālu. (చలి+పాలు.) n. A sign ఆనవాలు. చలివెలుగు ṭsali-velugu. n.
